That's such a crazy story because when that song came out we had a neighborhood kid named marcus and some kids called him m m m marcus because he stuttered. Then this song came out and everytime it played we would say marcus sing it! And marcus would sing bbb baby you just aint seen nnn nothing yet! It was so empowering to him and he realized how much we loved him. To this day everytime i hear that song i think of our friend marcus and how much that song meant to him.
There is NO pride in songwriting. It's always the dumbest song you wrote in 15 minutes that everyone loves the most. I'm so glad he made peace with it, because it is arguably one of the greatest "gem" hits of 70's. It's made me and millions of other people smile every time we hear it.
This song brings back so many childhood memories. 1972-78 was my golden time. I was a kid and life was beautiful. Not a worry in sight. I love this song and it still evokes the good times of the '70's when I hear it now.
I saw Randy in Madison Wi a few days before this. Randy is amazing ... I loved BTO since the '70'S . my first album was Not Fragile I bought with My paper route money in 1975...
Wow just found this, totally awesome, heard this Bachman turner overdrive song in 1974 ish and loved it as soon as I heard it one of my favourite song of all time, love it
@@lilpoohbear653 I would agree. The internet and protools didn't exist back then. The record companies and producers that had ever been involved with getting someone on the radio wouldn't waste their time on a band that didn't have good sound, good lyrics, didn't write good melodies or lyrics or a style people were looking for so that played some role but I feel like American idol and some other things in the 21st century caused this to go south because I grew up in the 90s and early 00s and when I was in high school from 2003-07 and I listen to the hit music of my generation, it pales in comparison to any of the classics from the 70s and before but kicks ass of anything from the past 10 years. Rock on friend🤘🤘
Man, did I just time warp back to the 70's? They were then and still are a group that knew how to perform. I do miss being there when this song came out and how young we were then.
Dear Randy, with all due respect you created a stereo war between me and my brother in 1975-6. We were always trying to out-do each other and had bedrooms next to each other, and in that timeframe my Dad bought me a pretty decent stereo and my 2-years older brother somehow also got something loud to play records, but the point is mine was better, haha! My first ever vinyl 12" LP was BTO II which I played over and over. Then Not Fragile came out and not only did my older brother buy it asap to spite me - he played "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" over and over through our shared wall just to piss me off (haha). I hope you read this and appreciate our love/hate sibling rivalry which was exacerbated by that song 47 years ago and we still joke about it to this day, so thanks! LOL =)
Great song played well, fantastic story by Baja borrachio. When the song came out remember saying to my late father this will be a big hit, when it the charts he said you were correct son. So good song & reminds me of my dad, what else needs to be said👌
The intro Randy does describing how the song came about is really good, and the performance is spot on, saw BTO live at a fourth of July show, outside by the waterfront in Kingston NY somewhere in the 90's, great night that was
Great story. I was 16 in 1986 and got tickets to see Van Halen in Chicago April 22nd 1986. BTO was opening and my brother made us late to the show. We got there when BTO were leaving the stage. Maybe Randy will come to Phoenix in 2020.
"...I was so embarrassed I would turn it down. It was voted the best stuttering song of all time. The Stuttering Association of America sent me a big thing to put on my wall." Hilarious! ROFL Randy! See? You just ain't seen nuthin' YET!

This song was the unofficial hymn of the presidential campaign of Ronald Reagan...
He said "you ain't seen nothing yet".
And it was amazingly true!!!

Timeless
My best Canadian with Nail Young.
You ain't been Around ✌️🇺🇸
Randy is one of my favorite guitarist. He sounds way better playing a Strat 🎸
He is a great guitarist, but I am more partial to the Les Paul (just a personal preference)
Happy Birthay Randy
RIP Robbie Bachman, drummer for BTO.
Damn. Still touring in 2019. I would have come from Minneapolis if I had known 😲
They are still doing at least 25-30 shows a year.
Looks like a lot of fun , wish I could have been there 😎👍
i´m a fan since not fragile and i stay a fan.
The studded song is true story .
Motto for you guys... 'If in doubt, turn the volume up'.
I hope I sound HALF that good when I am 75!
I hope you don't smoke. And maybe get lucky avoiding arthritis
Randy has what would be considered FAR from a great voice, but, he does what he does so well. Awesome songwriter and storyteller.
That's a mean thing to say! His voice fits his music perfectly!
How about one of the great guitarists of his time.
Nice Gold top!
