Spec Miata SCCA Hoosier Super Tour @ VIR (2nd-30th-9th after a first lap crash!)

- I started this race 2nd but ended up getting punted accidentally in the first lap and fell back to around 30th but was able to make it back up to 9th in part because so many cars went off track in this race. The track was a little slick and the grass was wet so it was a little hairy but still not so many people should have been wrecking or spinning out. Lots of action for sure in the video. This was my first race at VIR and an SCCA Majors event so I felt pretty good about how it went. We edited out about 4 minutes of full course yellow time.
Good outing as usual. Sounded like a pretty evil gearbox gave you a hard time. Good stuff, Connor, keep it up.
Those cars spinning on the track looks so much scarier than karting crashes. Good race, thakns for sharing
At 0:50 he knows youre there, 97 driver races in IMSA after all, don’t need to check up to fall in line just let him beat u around the outside into the turn by a fender... Pardus kinda parked it in 3 lol
Anyways, it was the right decision but kinda wrong unexpected method

Nice drive! You should probably slow your shifts down a bit though. You are going to be putting in a new trans every weekend...
For sure! I’m only 14 years old, so shifting is one of my down sides. It’ll take time but I’ll try!
@@connorzilisch5696 late comment but you’re good to shift as fast as you can as long as you get that left foot down all the way on the clutch so you don’t grind the gear
