I have pen, but I got some wrist issues now so I only use mouse so I don’t get good enough to get addicted again. (I was addicted while a mouse player, so I never got to be addicted with a tablet buff.)
4:16 if you don't have grip tape just wrapping a bunch of rubber bands around your pen works just as well 10:05 "rewind" by abstrakt8 works really well for looking at misses also and how you aimed. it's basically what replays in osu should be with going frame by frame and being able to rewind or disable hidden
I played with my pen a little with my hands and broke it in half, still works though. I use tape to stick the parts together, and it kind off works like grip tape
number 14 is super important. I'm a pretty new player and having a mindset of "I will be #1 someday" keeps me from getting discouraged when I struggle with high 4 star maps
honestly hearing the changing your skin thing is something not a lot of people seem to think about when it comes to mindblock, or just to generally improve. ive found that some skins make it a lot easier to play, and constantly switching up my skin has made me improve a bit. or, if all else fails, grab a skin from a high rank player
This motivated me to play every version of harumachi Clover interchangingly and put dt on so i can get out of my comfort zone of 3 stars. Thank you launch osu
6:40 I usually have it set like that, but I found that, depending on the map, it's sometimes beneficial to do the exact opposite, to hear the song more closely. If you're have trouble accing a map, messing with the music volume is a good idea in general.
8:02 i actually found out that when im sleep deprived i do way better in mania but worse in standard, i take advantage of it even though im always on the verge of passing out lol

currently on a break after playing the 2nd most i ever played in any month, however, these tips do work, i started doing so many different things and simply stopped caring about rank, 2 months later, i went from 33k to 10k, my best improvement ever. so honestly the best tip is just dont play for rank at all, it ruins you mentally and just drains you.
@@kenny7174 thats only work if you didn't delete/uninstall maps and osu! Never upgrated your PC or played on different PC since first day you started playing, for someone it could be over 7-10 years. I want to look at my C scores but can't find the maps, at least there is a most played beatmaps section on profile that has all played maps but there are 13 000 of them for me.

9:40 ok this is the good stuff i didnt know about yet, they look like nice tools, but for pp calculation, i usually use the tillerino osu user bot or a browser addon
I just play mouse + no mods + osu lazer and I've been doing so for years now. Getting rid of PP made me enjoy the game so much more. Sure, I've decayed over 40K rank, but not focusing on rank has made me so much healthier about the game. I'm not posting scores like I used to playing stable, but I also find that by regular play I no longer have to push myself nearly as hard to get those kinds of scores. I have almost no mind block, and I'm much more comfortable pushing my comfort zone because my consistency in play means that as long as I'm reading well, then my accuracy will showcase that rather than chasing the dreaded FC that the games entire ranked system is based around. (Seriously though, the fact that a 1 miss on a 6 star rated map gives you less rewards than an FC on a 4 star map has always been a major peeve for me when I played stable and looked at PP. It's a system that encourages breaking it with farm maps and never playing outside your comfort zone). Yeah, I'm still dog water at the game by community standards for sure. I mean seriously I've had the game since 2017 and haven't put up a single 300 PP score, with my average readable consistency between 5.5-6.2 star maps in that I can do these maps with an accuracy between 93-97. I can't stream anything over 200 bpm without mashing and I still shit miss in strides. But I've never had more fun with the game than I've ever had in all my years of play in this last year alone. I personally stepped away from the side of the game that tunnel visions on PP. To me, it feels like that section of the community doesn't understand the game they're playing and would willingly turn off the music as a mod if it meant getting a higher PP modifier to their play. It felt like a toxic environment where nothing but numbers mattered, and flexing was more important than playing together for fun. But that's just my thoughts on that. I've been enjoying the game much more now in the 1 1/2 years I've been playing lazer for. And when they decide to turn PP on for lazer, who knows if I'll be performing better or worse than the old scores I used to post. The important thing is that I've had fun playing more, and that can't be said for everyone who's tried playing more as a means to some kind of skill-based end.
10:37 ngl this is probably one of the most true thing from the whole video, i was kinda having a bad day to play osu, like i was choking left and right and raging and then i was like "ALRIGHT FUCK THIS LET ME JUST PLAY IDC ANYMORE ABOUT SETTING ANYTHING" and then im just playing and chilling to the music, honestly i was more focused on music than on aim, and then i started doing some pretty neat plays, so in conclusion, please dont take osu seriously, its not only more fun but also (maybe) more efficient if you're up to just chill with the game sometimes (just not always as it was one of the topics said in the video as well, im saying that you should have fun from the game and not rage, but still if you're in the mood then do some aim training and etc.)
Because of the idea of changing up my playstyle, on mania I tried changing my binds from as56 to ad46. That was the biggest experience of discomfort I have ever had lol
i'm no osu player, but the second tip really helps when it comes to phigros, the sheer amount of gimmicks that i can't play due to mind block was frustrating.
Raw input actually makes tablet cursor stuck in the corner of your screen, and OpenTablet driver isn't meant to be used with it anyway. Make sure your cursor is at 1x as well if you're playing with a tablet. With a mouse, it's potentially bad to have your sensitivity above 1x because it interpolates your inputs. Most mice also have interpolation at DPI above a certain point, I think around 5 years ago PWM3360 interpolated inputs above around 2400 DPI, not sure when it happens nowadays Unlimited FPS doesn't actually improve how you see the game, however the game feels like crap at 60 FPS because it adds ≈17 ms of input lag while unlimited has pretty much none. Laptop players should consider playing on 480 or even 240 to reduce battery consumption. On osu!lazer we won't need this anymore because it has multithreading. Honestly, I feel no difference between 60 and 480 FPS on lazer, take it with a grain of salt though because I'm still a 6 digit after all. Vsync will probably better than higher FPS values in the future because it lacks screen tearing; horizontal sliders and spinners inherently look better on vsync. I still prefer 120 for now though because vsync occasionally dips the framerate by a frame or two, not exactly a nice feeling, but I think they'll fix it when they release the game in 2049
I don't really know if changing offset is the way to play, I mean, if you tap too early or to late, you have to correct your gameplay... Anyway, nice vid!

Hi, I started to play osu in august 2011, and i did tons of looooong break, (sometime months, sometimes years) and sometime i just come here again and play during one or two month, or just 1 or 2 day, then i stop and 2-3week after i play again. (in short i'm a casual player xD) I never reached more than a 4star map, but i'm having fun, i don't care about my score/grade i just care about finishing the map or at least reach the fun part and if i fail at 80%, np i can still hear the end of the song and do another one easier after that. Thanks you for all advices it was cool and i liked the humor part :D
bro compatibility mode really answered my problems right now, maybe I accidentally turned it off a long time ago but this video helped me. 2:53 wth? don't do this! you aren't improving your rhythm and accuracy in any way if you just change your offset. rather, you should gain the experience of hitting at the right time by just playing more maps. if anything, changing offset is only good if you actually feel incorrect timing in the map. even then, you would need some experience in timing and rhythm in order to determine this.
and you can also set fast retry on any other button. for example my restart button is V, because it's very close to my fingers when I'm playing and it's easy to press quick
