I think it's highly underrated the fact that what he was explaining about the problem of the laptop not connecting to the internet ACTUALLY makes sense! Like he wasn't just using random computer terms and making up a scenario in his head. The problem that he posed, what it was caused by and how to fix it was genuinely correct and actually makes sense.
He even gave me a nice harmless prank to play if I'm ever in the room with someone's laptop. 🤫
That's the mark of a good comedian.

Scotland could take over the world if they did it right. I can think of no other country that has so many strong points! 😆 Comedian, busdriver-comedian, warrior-comedian, musician-comedian ect ... I'm Welsh and the only other country I'd happily have been born in in the UK is Scotland. 👍😎

My uncle's claim to fame was that Billy Connolly stole his motorbike one time. He used to listen to a Billy Connolly record when he was drinking, same record over and over, just about busting a gut every time. But to tell you the truth, as much as we loved Billy Connolly, Kevin Bridges is funnier. I'm somebody who rarely cracks a smile, nevermind laughs. And Kevin Bridges has me fuckin snorting like a pig.

@@uloola6156 understanding Ricky Gervais/Jimmy Carr/Sean Lock is understanding English. Kevin is a bit harder for non-native English speakers, especially for those (like me) who haven't ever heard spoken Scottish. At first it is quite hard :P

I am so very thankful for the closed captions even if it inexplicitly replaces the very audible colorful language. Without it, it would be impossible to understand Kevin.
My first 'real' boss was from a village (now probably a suburb) just outside of Glasgow. For the first 20 minutes or so every day, I couldn't understand anything he said! Then like inserting a Babel Fish ('Hitchhiker's') I could suddenly understand him. Because I was talking back to him in EXACTLY the same accent! He was a mate of my Dad's and he did exactly the same way!
Now I can understand very early Billy Connelly tapes, but after a few bevvies, I can still, unknowingly, 'Go Celtic!' Yep! My friends created a title. (I was banned from answering the phone until my accent 'passed'!

I met a nurse from Glasgow and told her about what I unconsciously do and she warned me that if I went there I'd be murdered! (Check out the clip and see how Glaswegians say 'murder', it's got a certain extra gravitas and threat behind it. When ever I hear it, I repeat the Scottish way of saying it. 'Muurrd-derr' is closest but must be said from the depths of the lungs and back of the throat.)
Apologies for the essay, I'm not boasting but Bill was a gentle giant (physio) and so generous, it was an honour knowing him and with a bonus gift. A great man indeed.
If you do check out the Graham Norton show, go for the nine minutes clip at least. I think there's the whole show available but this is THE version to watch! Ron Howard is seemingly SO interested in KB.

@@BrBill EXACTLY! But too much can be dangerous! The Shakespeare analogy is spot on. I can only understand if I read it out loud, I always get a seat to myself on public transport! Do you know of the comedy 'The Upstart Crow'? It's English, with David Mitchell and I think you'd LOVE it for a thousand reasons, the writing, the cast.... OK not a thousand but it's just wonderfully produced and hilarious.

A Hoover is a company that makes vacuum cleaners ,I have noticed that in the UK they think all vacuum cleaners are called Hoovers 😂
They know it, most ppl I knew from England had a Dyson, but the verb hoovering, that they use for cleaning the surface from dust, makes them say Hoover
@@M.S.M.111 I am from there and most people do think all vacuum cleaners are called Hoovers, you know that all but you, I and a few others will say "I must Hoover the floor now" regardless of the make of vacuum cleaner they use, I even heard "my Hoover is a Dyson"

@@JohnnysCafe_ it’s not necessarily that we believe “Hoover” is the proper name, more that we just have a habit of calling them that. Same way Americans always call tissues “Kleenex” even if the tissues aren’t Kleenex-brand. It’s just one of those things that language does. It’s fun!
@@thatkidwiththehoodie yes I understand that it's just a habit. Long ago the first lot of vacuum cleaners were made by Hoover and the name stuck even when using Singer. General Electric or the wildly overpriced Dyson, people still say they are going to Hoover the floor.

I will admit that for a Scot....and it's long been known that the Scots have a bad reputation for being complete halfwits, I actually like Kevin Bridges. He's one of the few Scots apart from Rab C Nesbitt and Rikki Fulton that i actually find funny.
