AJ, Jr. - I have never watched a video like the one you posted. You did an excellent job describing the ditches, and how the size of the stumps make a big difference. Thanks for posting. New sub for you, dude. Cheers!
15:04 : No , it's not going to be warmer going deeper in the drain, it's going to be colder. Like air, the warmer water is always above the colder water.
Sorry but, that’s not true at all. There are times when deep water is warmer and there are times when it’s colder. In the winter during a sever cold snap. The deep water will be much warmer and less affected than shallow water
@@AJFishing Like air, warmer water is lighter and less dense than colder water so for the very most part it stays above the colder water ( ever hear of a '' cold air ballon '' ? )...and fish do not seek any warmer water in the winter, they are cold-blooded creatures and have no '' comfort '' in regards to water temperature.
@@jerrylanglois7892 I understand the connection you’re making. But water is not like air. Water under ice is warmer than the frozen water on top. Water 30 foot deep under ice is gonna be warmer than the water 1 foot under the ice. With all due respect, I have a little bit of experience on and in water with my profession.
@@AJFishing The mistake you're making is comparing water to ice. When water freezes it becomes less dense, lighter, so it floats...and yes, water under ice is warmer than the frozen water on top, but not much, otherwise it would become part of the ice. Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a physics lesson. I enjoyed your video, the way you pointed out how to pick the best stumps and trees in those flatlanders. I live just a few miles from lake fork and appreciate your applicable info. Thanks.
Thanks for the info. I just started fishing again last year after 25 years (jobs, kids, etc). Have a little place on Fork and really enjoy finding them out there.
Really good video and congratulations on your win. My question is, you stated “the fish will follow points out”. Can you give a quick sentence or two explaining that! Thank you.
Great video . I like this format. Is that spinnerbait color one of your go-to's? Or was it specific to the region? My lakes are currently froze over so I am used to fishing in cold weather. During the cold seasons I always have a box of hand warmers in the boat. Never know when you may need them. Heck you may have to go for a swim and need a quick warm up...ahem!!!! Great win. Congrats!!!!
That bass fishing video was great my videos always kinda suck lol. You should do some videos on your filming setup I have GoPro hero 9 but i suck at the settings.
Which stumps? The ones that hold bass! Channels, and structure, it's really that simple. That being said, great video and though processing behind your content. A+ Rating.
Dude - not sure if my comment had any influence (but I’ll think it did 😀) - but I absolutely love this format. You are a natural as a teacher - very much at ease in your presentation - and greatly appreciated - thank you. One question - you said “light line on a bait caster for the flat side” - how light? Thanks again - always pulling for you and your Dad!!!!
Any video on Lake Fork gets my attention but this was very well put together. Would watch these often.

@@jerrylanglois7892 thank I appreciate it. We can agree to disagree! Hope you have a good day.
Love this format! Very informative and love the low key, no nonsense approach to how your process of breaking down the conditions.

Fantastic video excellent ideas. Your explanation is much appreciated
Got to see you take the plunge for that 7.14 and catch the 8.14 afterwards. Was great seeing how you worked and broke down that area you were fishing.
Congrats on your win man you deserve it❤️🎉

Good job on seeking them out bro👍
Really enjoyed this video. Would be interested to know how you approached fishing the horizontal stumps

Better Than D'Arbonne that's for sure lol
I have never fished D’Arbonne and I live about an hour or two away
Good luck to you and your dad catch m up
Thank you!
What brand and weight spinnerbait was that you were using? If it’s custom what is the blade size? Thanks!
it was a custom 3/4 oz with a #5 Colorado blade
Will they ever come off those drains and stage on shallow cover, off the bank? (On the way in and out)
Yes on warm days they will absolutely come up out of the drains to sun. The drain is simply a pathway from winter time places to spawning areas.
Where was you fishing?
Lake fork
