I truly want all of you to love your homes and do whatever makes you happy there 🤍 Unless you have a pig drawer pull, that’s where I draw the line and I WILL arrange an intervention.
Actually HL is no different than any other retailer……..they have some good items and some not so good items. So do other stores such as Pottery Barn. Choose wisely and leave the rest behind.
I adore you and I understand what you are saying however art and personal style is very personal. I have things in my house that just bring me joy😊 I don’t care if others like it. Do what makes you feel happy and comfortable in your space.

i personally wouldn't buy anything from hobby lobby that wasn't solely for decor purposes. anything that needs to be functional and last a while i would go elsewhere. i think they're really good for if you're looking for decor that is like trendy-ish and you don't wanna spend a gazillion dollars. they're pretty quick when the trends are getting picked up by the masses. but the number one rule of shopping at hobby lobby (imo) is to never go looking for something you need immediately. literally half of the store is always at 50% off. the other half goes on sale the next week. it just flip flops back and forth forever. and there are like always coupons for something. nothing you buy there is worth it for the full price, it is all mass manufactured for pretty cheap and some stuff they really mark up. go back the next week to get it discounted. ALSO i think their floral section is good if you're trying to make like an outdoor wreath or like a topper for a headstone. that's about the only time my mom and i go looking through it.
i think possibly the highland cow thing is really because in real life highland cows are really beautiful animals an the babies are really cute and just a beautiful baby ! i happen to know this is fact because i’ve seen live real existing ones right where i live .
YOU SNOB! LOL, just kidding 🙂 I agree with so much of what you said. The words on wood trend drives me crazy. I have the pears "painting" and it looks great in my kitchen. Adds nicely to the moody, antique-y decor style I have. I also have one of those jugs and it also looks very old world. I think, like you said, if you are choosey and combine some of these things with antiques and quality decor and furniture you already have, it can work. The only faux flowers I like at Hobby Lobby are the cosmos. They look pretty real to me and would look good in a tall vase on a high shelf or something. I love the acacia wood items! Have lots of them. The wood is so rich looking. I have also found great antique look and boho drawer pulls but again, you have to be selective. (I have no farm animal drawer pulls...yet. lol).Those geometric useless bobbles though, they have GOT to go, WTF? People will buy anything, I swear. Sheesh. Great video by the way.
Children!! Children love those bright, glittery, 'tacky' framed art. As much as we adults like having our own curated style that express ourselves, so do kids! Lol
I feel differently about the landscape art. I would rather get a print of art created by a real master, perhaps on high quality paper as you mentioned in another video. The HL knockoffs look off to me. And I agree, what is up with the cows?! Thank you for the great videos. They are truly helpful.
You got me lol I have that frame of the Chanel perfume the pink and black with a little bit of gold in it but wait I have a very good explanation In my last rental the half bath was complete pale pink tile on the floor and up the walls so I got a black wrought iron plant stand to hold the towels and extra toilet paper And hung that print right over it and put black and pink towels up on the towel bar Anyone who ever used that half bath loved it and so did I lol But I am trying to get away from signs they’re cheesy and also you know the Progressive guy does not approve😂 On another hobby lobby, subject, I buy a few things there but I always feel guilty about it because of their politics and the things they’ve been accused of doing so there’s that Great video❤

Speaking of Highland Cattle 😂 I grew up in Scotland where there are many. I’ve lived in Rome (Italy) practically all of my adult life. My late Father-in-Law did a charcoal sketch of a Highland Cow which my daughter had framed and which hangs in her apartment here in Rome. I suppose it is a strange thing 😅. I love antiques . I love a cozy , cottage antique home . But I always have . Once in a blue moon something works in my home from Hobby lobby . But my home is true antique farmhouse . Authentic tho. Everything is real from a real farmhouse . 100 yrs old type . It speaks to my soul. People need to do what speaks to their heart and brings peace . You just know when it’s right and authentically you.

I have actually been wanting to get one but because of the random popularity of it, it feels weird now. I’ll still do it I just might try to paint it myself or something so it looks more unique!

Hobby Lobby is a “no” for me. For obvious reasons.
The problem with Hobby Lobby stuff is it’s always the first things I declutter. I don’t shop there anymore.
