1:38 The speed of a CPU also depends on IPC (instructions per clock). This is why newer CPUs with a lower frequency can outperform older CPUs with a higher frequency.

6Gb Gamer? 8Gb Pro Gamer? This can be a divisive topic since it heavily depends on use case, but this is far from what I'd consider close to the "general consensus."
I'd recommend altering the values to something like this (as of 2022, Standard Desktop):
    2Gb - Doorstop
    4Gb - Super-Light Office Work
8Gb - General Office Work, Light Entertainment, Noob
16Gb - *Ideal Average for modern systems.* Intensive office work, Entertainment, Light Streaming, normal CAD work. Gamer.
32Gb - Pro-Gamer/Streamer, Heavier CAD and 3D modeling, Video editing, VR, most Adobe Suite tools (recommended)
64 Gb - Hardcore Gamer/Streamer, Heaviest CAD and 3D modelling software, Heavy Video Editing/Music Production, Adobe After Effects (user recommended)
128 Gb - "Newellism is my religion," Noob

2GB is good enough to be used as a router. Or a very light weight local development machine, like running a basic PHP server. You can even use it to read emails and have 1 video open!

    a few corrections
As one person said - The speed of a CPU also depends on IPC (instructions per clock). This is why newer CPUs with a lower frequency can outperform older CPUs with a higher frequency.
    an actually good ram chart:
2GB - useless unless you run linux
    4GB - masochist
    6GB - armchair masochist
    8GB- minimum
    12GB - noob
    16GB - Gamer
    32GB - Pro Gamer
    64GB - hardcore gamer
128GB - newellism is my religion
Hybrid drives (SSHD) exist too, but they arent as popular.
Optical drives are basically extinct now.

For the table RAM analogy, chrome would be like trying to keep a whole table saw on a table. Takes up a whole bunch of space that it doesn't need to. How about... Not putting a table saw on a table?

help, my pc doesn't have a video card but have a gpu????

    • @antcomposer8916
      @antcomposer8916 2 года назад

it's integrated in the processor (it's called uhd graphics for intel chips and vega in the amd ones).
Most CPUs come with an iGPU with a few exceptions. It's to reduce the cost of PCs because the majority of people don't need graphics cards which costs at least 200 $/€ for the new ones, as they only use the computer to do simple tasks that only require a basic GPU to display things on the screen.
