@@cosmic_841 No, critics were people who had great taste commenting something very realistically, which opinion was respected because they were voice of common sense and didn't allow that every idiotic thing become celebrated simply because someone thought he/she has great vision about something and they also kept celebrities grounded and down to the earth. But in '90s and early '00s they went too far by criticizing everything which wasn't Oscar worthy and starting demanding perfection from everyone and everything which is impossible. Simplified, they became overwhelmed and drunken with their power. And they couldn't accept the fact that they can be wrong and that they can disagree with eachother, so they would just roll with someone's opinion even if that was wrong and they wouldn't stand up and voice different opinion just to keep so called peace in community. They started acting like politicians or police and people started not to like that. I think this movie is perfect example of that. And there was also plenty of another examples. Everything changed in time of internet when every little twat became available to tell his opinion and suddenly we entered in culture where everything must be celebrated and not criticized because everyone became snowflakes and we shouldn't hurt anyone's feelings. Today everything is great, even we all know it's awful, but nobody wants to say that because he could be called as person who discriminates someone or something, so everyone is praising bad things.
