ive never oaid this song much attention...saw that Susan had recorded it si thought id give it a listen....so glad that i did...it was so many things...sad yet beautiful...wow!
This recording is a whole 10 years before Susan Boyle's landmark performance on Britain's Got Talent aired on 11 April 2009! It is a wonder that it took so long for someone in a position of influence to "discover" her phenomenal gift. Her success is truly a miracle -- it makes us appreciate how she was finally rewarded. If ever there was an inspirational story it is Susan's rise to the top.
I bet there are people who reached susan boyle's ability like this, but they then they gave up. Susan boyle kept going 10 years after becoming this good...
how dunb are the english music industry,, this magnificient version , {the best since Julie London, and may be better} has been around for ten years, and they couldnt see the quality, merit, beauty of it... This lady should have been a number one seller for at least a decade, not some 47 yo overnight sensation Im just glad I found it, and thanks tonednickerson for the post
Susan Boyle is a woman with a beautiful (and largely sad) life story and an even more beautiful voice. She represents the rare triumph of talent and hard work over what our culture deems "physical beauty", a counterweight to a music industry obsessed with an artist's "marketability" that rarely allows people outside a certain mold to become famous, while allowing untalented people to become famous purely because of how they look and dress. Susan Boyle has a lot to be proud of and this rendition from before she was introduced to the world is one of the things she should be most proud of.
@@Selrisitai I guess you're unfamiliar with the story of her life. I don't agree that it was largely sad. Ordinary and mundane, maybe, but not terribly sad.
Methinks that this is the best song that Susan Boyle ever sang: Her voice is at its peak here. This is the version that I have on my "Ballads Romantic & Sad" RUclips Playlist.
Such a beautiful blessed singer...Aww she overcome so many tragedies in her life time and she became so famous...I love her singing and so inspiring...God bless you Susan Boyle 💖
WHat a beautiful and powerful voice Susan has! I find it a shame she did not start her career in her teens or early 20s! She could have been one of the greatest female singers for 40 years now. I hope the rest of her life is good.
I don't think so. I think her lack of fame has everything to do with her Asperger's. It would be very difficult for someone who isn't viewed as having a marketable look or personality to break through in the entertainment industry. She was only discovered via a talent show that allows anyone on. Unfortunately, our world is too superficial to fully appreciate her talent.
Her voice is so purely beautiful and interesting. She is to me on the same level of mastery as celine dion and barbra streisand. But she got to this with no help and so much difficulty...she is amazing
Michial Barrymore had her on a talent contest he was doing round shopping centres and all he did was mock her behind her back while she sang. I bet he kicked him self after she won Britains got Talent.
Thanks for post this "Cry Me A River"! I really like this "Cry Me A River" than after she got fame. She"s amazing. Do you have the audio file her "Killing Me Softly" ?
@@NedNickerson2010 Thank you! I'd appreciate it. It's really nice "Killing Me Softly by Susan Boyle for me as same as by I'll Be Sure. (*^-')b-★♬♫♪”~★”
Better late than never!!!! Eventually, talent wins out. Compare this to any Brittany Spears, Madonna, or other current "diva" song. Eliminate the electronic enhancements and I could probably sing better than they do (okay, that's probably stretching it a bit). If Susan had the sex appeal of a Brittany Spears she would be bigger than Streisand, or anyone else who currently populate People Magazine -- who are in the magazine for their looks, not talent..
Barbra's emotions are a lot about her "style" whereas Susan Boyle is just able to let the emotion flow through the sound of her voice; less"artful" and more genuine to me.
This recording is awesome. Susan has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard in my life.
She makes me cry.The trumpeter takes out the soul. I am here again.
Yes, this is by far the best version of "Cry Me A River"! It seems as though she is singing this to me!
Susan Boyles version of cry me a River is the best version there is
I absolutely love this woman's music. She is a natural born singer
Best version of the song I've ever heard.
Best version of this song I have ever heard. I just love it immensely.

One reason. She didn't have the LOOK to go with the voice. i am sure if they could have they would have Milli Vanillied her.
I bet there are people who reached susan boyle's ability like this, but they then they gave up. Susan boyle kept going 10 years after becoming this good...
I could listen to her sing jazz or the blues all day long!
the best performing I have ever heard
This is just a stunning version, she sounds so young.

It's Scottish not English! West Lothian school is in Scotland and Susan is Scottish!
I bought her CD, so I was hip to this jewel for a while. Best version of this tune I've ever heard.
I completely agree! Her best, ever!
The magnificence of Susan - A true woman of strength - A true overcomer.

"And LARGELY sad life."
Heheheh! Nice one!
Couldn't she have just worked out and/or ate properly and then had a beautiful voice _and_ an at-least presentable appearance?

Myself as well...but, I may be a little impartial. Because, I absolutely love this song.
Yep
Such a gem, absolutely blissful
Thanks from France for this song sharing …. I believe this is the most beautiful cover ever ✌️😎
So very beautiful. I can listen to her every day and then in particular this song, love it
Its the best performing I have ever heard
This is a wonderful version of this song. Beautiful voice and beautiful rendition of this classic.
Cry me a river... Thank you Susan for this song
Amazing - brimming with feeling from deep down....

Susan Boyle has a lovely voice and she sings this song beautifully. Thank You Susan Boyle.
Oh, wow. Exquisite. We love you, Susan!

... I always think of Miss Julie London singing this ... now ... I think of Miss Susan Boyle ...
Her voice is so purely beautiful and interesting. She is to me on the same level of mastery as celine dion and barbra streisand.
But she got to this with no help and so much difficulty...she is amazing
I consider susan Boyle a vocal national treasure of UK. Love and adore her. Respect from S.Korea
She's over them too way over 👍👍👍🥰🥰💞💞💞💞
I’ve got goosebumps!!! So fabulously done.
Still gives me goosebumps even after all the times I've listened to this...
This is awesome!
Fantastic Her soul was well to hear in this song she has now become one of my favorite singers....Thanks
Beautiful ❤️
The photos fit the mood perfectly. I love this video.
so sensual! A piece of art...
This recording is beautiful, sexy and amazing. I love this voice.
This is right up there with Ella's version. Right. Up. There.
Mike G yeah!!!
this one is the best!!!
I love Susan Boyle. I wish I could sing like her. She is a marvel. I feel privileged to listen to her.
I think she sounded even better doing this song than she did on Britain's Got Talent. The lady can sing, that's for sure.
I agree.
I agree..in their polishing they lost some of her raw beauty
This is the version that should have been included on the album. I Dreamed a Dream.
I love how you can hear each syllable and word when Susan sings - that is pretty unusual
Brilliant!
Brilliant version.
Wielkie Objawienie w muzycznym świecie.Wspaniały głos.Bardzo znany utwór.Susan wykonuje go genialnie.
beautiful from the heart
Amazing !!!
such a lovely voice!
Really enjoyed this video. Lovely photos
Gorgeous!
Can we get Susan to sing the next James Bond theme song???
OMG, I love her!!!
So beautiful my insides ache
Piękne wykonanie nieznanej jeszcze nikomu Susan Boyle.
More than Ella's, Dinah's, Barbara's--is Susan's Boyle's rendition sensual.
この曲自体大好きだし、スーザンが歌から、もっと、大好きになったよ!
ジュリーロンドンとまた違って
素敵な声に癒されます

oh come on, she.s an angel !!! PROMOTE HER !
I agree with Worldsgreatist52, how is it possible that she remained unknown???
Thank you for your job!
Much love from Russia!
How is it she was undiscovered ?

Much better than her barely passable version of "Killing Me Softly."
Oh my god I came here thinking it was going to be a rendition of the Justin Timberlake track for a moment 😂😂😂😂
並非黔驢之技~~!
thanks but i dont know whether it is just exactly it if the truth I listen intently...:(
pretty but in relation to Streisand's nothing. Her transitions are cleaner, but only because she lack Barbra's emotion.
Listen to Julie London sing it!
@@clarebutterfield6927 I find this so much better than Julie London that it almost seems like a different song.

nice, but not as good as Barbra Streisand.
blasphemy
Is there anyone who is as good as Barbra? She's "hors catégorie". Nevertheless a wonderful performance by Susan Boyle.
This song has more feeling in depth then Barbra Streisand is the same song
