- Heartland Institute Research Fellow Linnea Lueken explores the claim that, because climate change allegedly is causing more extreme weather, more people are being killed by extreme weather than in the past. This is false on two counts.
Extreme weather events are often attributed to climate change, but weather and climate are not the same thing. Real-world data show no significant increase in extreme weather over the past 100 years.

Many thousands of years ago, people depended on the flooding of watercourses, the Tigris, the Nile, etc., to get fertile land, so flooding is really nothing new.
Apart from there being less human cold related illnesses & deaths there will also be less crop & plant loss & death due to less frosts, snow & ice.

There is also a real problem with atribution "science" in the field of deaths statistics. Just because slightly more people dies in hottest days (or coldest days, for that matter) than in more standard temperature days, that does not mean that they are killed by the temperature differential, as atribution "science" interpretates. Many of the deaths in those days are old people with cardiorrespiratory chronic terminal conditions that were bound to die in a matter of days or weeks anyway. The fact that their condition worsening triggers a faitality on those precise days is an acceleration of their death and accounts to a life shortened a few days, but it is completely wrong to account their cause of death to hotter or colder temperature, because they were bound to die anyway in a mattter of days, and is completely wrong to "change" the cause of death from cardiorrespiratory condition to temperature related/weather caused/climate change caused death (obviously), or to account a life loss to extreme temperature, when we are speaking, for instance, of a loss of, say 1 week of life in a whole life duration of, say, 89 years. The BS some atribution"scientists" are saying about statistics of death in hot/cold days is utter nonsense. I hope I have explained my point clearly.

The climate as changed many many times over thousands of years ice ages and extreme hot weather it’s called NATURAL WEATHER CYCLES
I emphasise the NATURAL and to prove my point and would ask any so called climate expert to answer this question
Q the earth was frozen during the ice age thousands of years ago there were very few humans ( if any ) there was no industrial revolution there were no aeroplanes , motor vehicles ( the bloody wheel had not yet been invented) and most of the large animals had been wiped out
So what made the earth warm up enough to turn a frozen planet into a green and pleasant land
No humans no Factories no planes, cars , Lorrie’s no large Animals farting lol WE ARE WAITING FOR SOME BRIGHT SO CALLED EXPERT TO GIVE US THE ANSWER ??? Come on experts you keep mouthing off about humans are destroying the earth and are the cause of global warming so I’m sure you can answer a very simple question like how the the earth thaw from an ice when there were not humans on earth.

As long as you include lying in your definition of "debunk," sure.
And all these improvements are either directly or indirectly related to cheap reliable energy, primarily fossil fuels. If there isn’t, there should be stats generated on deaths related to energy cost.

I had to stop a good friend from yelling at me in my driveway because I was trying to tell him, "it's good news! why are you getting so upset?"
I explained the analogy of the 10,000 seat stadium with a molecule of air in each seat, and that only 4 seats represented the co2 molecules. That's, what 400 ppm means, 4 hundreths of 1 percent. Having an engineering degree, he got the message.
There just isn't enough of it to control the earth's temperature, it being a "trace gas!"

Thanks Wayne, I'm trying to get the message out. Not only the climate narative but Socialism(communism) and migration with an emphasis on our middle East "friends," who are entering our western countries en masse since Merkel's open borders policies and now even in our beautiful country with the B Admin's heinous and strategic open borders that they deny while it is happening before our eyes. The latest policy allows for 4,000 a day or maybe week to be kind, nevertheless it's still the great replacement in action, as well as the immediate restructuring of congress in the next census.
I'm contacting our legislators, only the R's with some positive responses.
I think the climate narrative might be the first house of cards to fall. The money wasted on it is staggering!

@@dongaetano3687 as a Canadian, I can empathize with what is going on. With our over burdening carbon taxing added on it’s the Great Steal and the Great Replacement. Thankfully I live in Alberta and our new Premier is fighting tooth and nail. But even the media (mainstream) paint her as a cancer to society. No wonder the kids today are so messed up.

Not only that. Try to find out any lab experiment with 100% concentration. All I have seen so far did not show more warming than few degrees. It is 2500 times higher with such small effect.

I wish we would have some climate warming in Germany. It's late May and the coldest I have ever known... However, I am sure someone will have taken temperature readings at an airport runway after a jet has taken off. Thus proving warn temperatures!!!
Global warming certainly has not made it here to the middle of Michigan yet either, sure could us a little.
We, as a species have bigger problems than a fluctuating weather cycle. Stopping pollution from plastics, and products that are known to be harmful to all life, and that do not occur naturally and do not break down. Reduction of waste, recycling of produced materials and elimination of non recyclable materials is the way forward. Renewable energy is fantastic, but it needs to be introduced at a sustainable pace and employed in the correct applications first. Electrification of cars and trucks is a waste of resources and infrastructure, when the majority of homes and businesses are 100% relying exclusively on the grid, with no storage batteries or solar capabilities. Materials earmarked for electric transportation would be better used in buildings/homes.
