Please check your license first, is it support motion simulation or not? I believe student edition should support all module. If your license support it, maybe when installation you did not select complete installation. Please reinstall NX.

For plastic mould movement, you can use NX Mold Wizard. Use kinetic function. If using NX Motion Simulation, you must define all movement, it's timing, driving force, etc. Difficult.
