Get behind this amazing band at Eurovision. Vote for them, get them into the Grand Final. They deserve to be there, they deserve to take home the trophy. The entire world can vote this year, here’s your chance to make it happen.
Not really djent, it's more 80's inspired (especially duran duran / killing joke / depeche mode) progressive metal. If you love this then the band Haken is also recommended. If you really want to listen to djent, periphery is a really good example@@jezpeep538
Texas guitar nerd here, been adoring this band since V, so prog, so good, delicious melodies, such a fun band to listen to, and I have loved the progression to powerpop prog...or whatever you wanna call it...don't care,, this song is the pinnacle of all they have pushed for. Love the whole damn band, don't change a fn thing folks.
@Steveregutis9237 Don’t hate on the song some people love this I love this whole band and a lot of others do and you don’t need to like it but don’t hate on it because of that.
Don't let an award loss determine how great a band is. Consider when Rage Against The Machine won the Hall of Fame over Iron Maiden. This really proves that those awards mean toilet paper :(
I am ashamed that I am an Australian who didn’t know of your work until Eurovision. Your sound is the kind of thing that makes my ears and heart happy. I am definitely going to have a good time exploring your back catalogue!
I am IN LOVE with your sound! So glad you entered the ESC this year. You‘ve surely made lots of fans in Europe; I am one of them. 😊 See you in Hamburg!
Not robbed. Many things have to come together for a ESC win, and this time the stars did not align to Voyager. Top 10 is a solid performance and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Even our Käärijä was not robbed of anything. We knew perfectly well, that he is not a singer, but an entertainer and a rap artist. It was a tall order to ask him to win Loreen in a competition with a jury on your singing ability. He really managed to capture the audience and it gave him full 12 points from 18 countries, which is a feat on its own rigth. But unfortunately this had to also be the year when Loreen decided to compete again. Voyager made a such an impression winning their semi-final and giving a solid performance in the final, that they will get much new audience for their music.
For a song with a 7-string djent breakdown it's already kind of a miracle that they even ended in the top 10. Definitely the winner though for me even though I'm a LOTL fan (I just think Blood and Glitter was a weaker song by their standards).
Teenage late-80s metal fan me would have lost his tiny mind knowing that (1) something as crushing as this was possible and (2) the band that created it would release it a week before they appear at Eurovision Song Contest. Amazing work once more, Voyager❤️
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. You see, we all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God in flesh, to pay the penalty for us by dying on the cross and resurrecting, so that we may have everlasting life. Now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and Bible says that His Blood will cover all of your sins, you will be forgiven, saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read the Bible, pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless.
Thank you Eurovision for introducing me and many more to your wonderful music! Love from Finland 🇫🇮, and side note, I used to live in Australia for one year, love your country!
This is the reason I watch Eurovision every year. Every now and then an incredible act comes along that's more than just an enjoyable performance on the night. I'm almost glad I missed out on them for the last 20 years so I can listen to all of their stuff now 😂
Totally, most years have that one act I love so much I actually want to dig into their other releases. Not often there's an actual back catalogue to check, Voyager is my favourite Eurovision discovery ever!
Have they been singing for 20 years already? And they haven't acquired the fame they deserve? That is pathetic 😤 as this group is a-ma-zing!!! 👏👏👏 I ❤ed them more than words can tell!!!
My friend who got me into these guys told me recently that Danny is a lawyer/part of a law firm and although I looked it up and found it to be true, it's still so interesting to me that he has such a great side job lol.
There's a new genre of music - VOYAGERESQ! Time for these West Aussie wonders to go and own Eurovision! See you in Sydney in July team ... look for your oldest groupie!
You remind me of the times when I was a teenager, in the mid-eighties, and I was excited to hear every new song from my favorite bands; Dokken, Stryper, Megadeth, etc. Thank you guys for this new youth.
I knew you are not who you seemed to be from the first notes' sound of the chorus of Promise. All the rock/metal bands on Eurovision so far were rather wanna be a rock star. I knew you were real and you know prog metal sound. I have checked your old songs. They are great! And this one is also amazing! I am happy you have showed up on Eurovision, otherwise I wouldn't have heard of you. Greeting from Poland!
Well Germany's are not a wannabe. They've been around in the Gothic rock genre and have many great songs. Greater than their entry to Eurovision, but i wish all good luck.
They had to play it safe for Eurovision since it's primarily a pop music contest. The rest of their catalogue, especially the last 2 albums and these new singles, are way more musically interesting than Promise, but even with that song, Voyager wins Eurovision based on musical ingenuity alone.
@Boska I absolutely agree. And I agree with "true Rock/Metal band", their older songs are really good too, and the band indeed is kinda proggy too, what I love
Guys, I got to know your band after watching Eurovision. For some reason, I have been watching this contest for years considering it as a freak show and you are the only participants ever that really grabbed my attention. After that I checked out your albums and they truly blew me away. I even feel some kind of guilty pleasure because of being a Eurovision band fan. However, you are definitely the main 2023 musical discovery for me. All the best to you.
I've been a fan of Voyager for over a decade, they easiy became my favourite band yet they're criminally, massively underrated. They should be way bigger! Best of luck at Eurovision.
@@SceneSprout Don't worry! the rest of the world has pretty much heard them now! What a great Eurovision introduction to those that did not know of them.
Thanks for introducing me to this awesome band through Eurovision! Love love love this song! Sad they didn’t do it but they came 9th which is something to be proud of! X
My favourite band since 2018 when I discovered the Ghost Mile album. Typical Voyager to put out a really catchy number like Promise then follow it with an absolutely raging complex beast of a track, right when everyones eyes are on them for Eurovision. Well played! This is a belter.
I want to thank you for your dedication to progressive metal and rock. I feared that you made a drastic and dramatic turn to pop music, you walked on razor's edge but stayed true to heavy sound. Cheers!
I love progressive Metal since my youth..I remember Vanishing Point as my first aussie prog band... Australia is full of metal wonders (Parkway Drive is one of my favs) ! All the best for Eurovision - you got my vote! Love from Austria!
I was watching the Eurovision semifinal and I was like "WAIT!? What!? Voyager is here?" They're gonna call me a traitor now because of course every Finn should be like "Käärijä FTW!" But I know my vote is going to Australia now
