I saw this when it originally aired, but for some reason I thought it was just two of the Pythons. Also, I recognize the rest of the guests: Neil Sedaka, Gabe Kaplan, Ben Vereen, and David Soul. Thanks for posting this, and thank-you RUclips search for making it easy to find!
Thanks for posting this. The clip from "The New Gas Cooker Sketch" is very strange. The opening part ('Ooh, that must be the man about the gas cooker') isn't from the Python show from the second series but is instead from the special 1971 Montreux Special Show! However the second part (the line of gas officials in brown overcoats) isn't from the Montreux Show but is from the Python second series. However the soundtrack of the officials muttering to each other has been changed! All very odd!
Wow, they showed two of the most famous and most quotable scenes from that movie. I wonder how much everyone laughed when they saw this in theaters for the first time.
For what it's worth; the fuzzy haired mustachiod gent is Gabe Kaplan, star of tv series "Welcome Back, Kotter" (John Travolta also starred). Host is Mike Douglas. (NOT the actor "Michael"; different guy.)
I remember Margaux Hemingway came out and said she was some kind of arm wrestling champion. All of the Pythons chickened out leaving Carol Cleveland to take on Hemingway. Carol did pretty well, but Margaux won. The Pythons went over very big on the Mike Douglas Show compared to their unfortunate appearance on the Tonight Show a bit earlier.
Awww, I miss Terry Jones, may he rest in peace..........my favourite Python ❤️
LMAO @ the way Terry and then Michael sit on Carol! Great interview!!
Time stamp?

Wow, the quality was hardly bearable to watch. It quite revealed to me how spoiled I am living in this age of BluRay and HD.
omg poor carol

Sorry to comment so late, but this is lovely. I would love to see the entire episode.

this was so awkward, haha
Beth does not approve of Mike's hair. Makes his ears look big. Terry G, however? He may be the 5th hottest Python (imo), but dayum!! He sexy here!
yes!

Sorry I"m late, but I never imagined I'd be shipping David Soul and Terry J. Maybe that's why David moved to Blighty?
Hmm, something I never considered! Lol
Hands down, Terry J is my favourite Python
yeah, why graham never did interviews?? he's my fav. python...sigh
Lo que le hacen a Carol hoy hubiera sido un escándalo. Patriarcales! !!!!😈😃😨👀☝

Oh I hadn't noticed that at all! Strange!
Oh yes, it was me who cut out the middle part, to make it fit.
I remember being disappointed-no Chapman,Idle or Cleese -Mike Douglas had a cool show with good guests
Any chance of posting the whole of the sketch as a separate RUclips clip. Be interesting to see who whole version of that sketch!
