Great budget pick up! I'm happy with my purchase. Hooked it up to my 65" Samsung 7 series TU7000. Set up was easy. For the price and performance I have no complaints.
Interesting. I have the Vizio 21-H8R from Best Buy. It seems everything is the same except the remote which has a few different buttons and also has a small digital screen at the top of the remote. I agree though, this sound bar is great! I only have a small one bedroom apt and this is perfect! I use the dialogue setting for movies and the game setting for console gaming. Thank you for taking the time to do this video, I enjoyed it.
Anyone of you guys having this issue where the volume level is not displaying on the tv? It only says “HDMI Reciever”. The volume works but I really want to see the “amount” of volume I have on my tv since I am using HDMI Arc. Do you guys know how to fix this or having this same issue?
@@Josh-ph4te On most TVs the volume will only show if you use the TVs remote to adjust the level. If you use the soundbars remote it will most likely only show the level adjustment on the soundbar LEDs lights. I don’t personally own this soundbar. But most soundbars operate the same way. Unfortunately since this soundbar does not have an actual number/letter display. You have to go by the LED lights. Maybe someone else has a better solution. Hope that helps.
If it doesnt auto connect, then plug the sub woofer in and hold down the power button on it until its flashing then go to the sound bar and do the same thing. It should connect almost instantly
Update: tech support was very helpful. I pried open the cover and added the batts to use until a replacement is received. But of the sound! I am very pleased with my purchase and the help offered by a tech guy in South Dakota.
"I bought a 700 dollar LG dolby atmos soundbar. This is the dolby as well for $119." Very misleading for people who might not know their stuff. You're making it sound like the Vizio sounbar in this video has Dolby Atmos, which it does not. It SUPPORTS dolby audio streams, that's it. It has DTX Virtual X which sounds horrible. The subwoofer sounds like it has a hole in it, and while it's cheap, I went back to my tv speakers because it was so bad.
my sub is more of a rectangle, mine also has mesh on the front and the top[ where the buttons are on the sound bar, it was from walmart? what do you make of it? is yours def 2020? the box on mine says 2020, or is yours 2021?? idk :L i paid 136$ with tax aswell this morning... lmk
@@TheRealReviewz When I push on them nothing happens. Or when I push one and then the volume button up or down, it doesn't affect bass or trouble, only the volume. I'm still looking for my manual! LOL Or maybe I'll eventually figure it out.
Great descriptive video and thanks for the time to make it for us. One thing I didn't hear you mention is TV bracket mounting. I have one of those SANUS mounts that hangs from the TV for the sound bar. Do you know if this bar is capable to use that? I didn't see any mounting options on the back of the bar when you showed it.
@@TheRealReviewz I did plug it into my 80 inch Sony tv on the HDMI 1 and the sound was coming out of the vizio speakers but me and my friend stood there and were shocked she was like return it back to Costco so I did :/ we tried install it in a different way but not to many options with what is included in the package as far as the wires I installed them on my tv where they should go, but we were shocked at how it did not make a difference on the sound.
It’s Bluetooth You need to plug the the subwoofer into a power outlet It should Connect automatically and if not hit the sync button on the back of the subwoofer
I just bought this today, I can't seem to figure out how to connect it to my wifi so I can use the smartcast app... I use that for all my other Vizio devices. It doesn't have an ethernet port either. Should I return this?
It has earc hdmi, optical cable which is square looking and has Bluetooth. It doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi since it’s not internet connected. What are you trying to do with this sound bar.
@@TheRealReviewz I tried that. I connect to it via Bluetooth but it still doesn't find it in the app. The app can only find it when the item is on your network via wifi or ethernet
I still don't understand the fad of placing a tv above a fireplace. A TV should be just a few feet off the floor for best viewing. Plus the heat is bad for elextronics, the flames takes away from an immersive viewing experience if you have a fire going. Experts recommend against this idea yet I see it way too often. I know it's not my setup but I'm allowed to have an opinion to share. Anyway, nice review I just picked this unit up.
@@TheRealReviewz I agree! Watching movies and football games is so much better. The sound is crisp and I have bass now! Going to watch F9 with my son this next weekend and crank it up!
You forgot to say: PUT YOUR SUNGLASSES TO WATCH THIS !!!

great review! why not connect with the HDMI to eARC?
The cord is thicker and wanted to keep it minimal behind it. But your right for the best sound go hdmi
I agree with Rekd. You’re not going to get the best sound quality from optical.

Does it have 3 speakers or 2 on the actual bar?
i got this for 80 bucks at best buy no tax
Why didn't you connect to the HDMI connector? Did your TV not have HDMI Arc? You won't be able to get DTS.
My thoughts as well. Not getting the experience with optical.

How do you pair the soundbar to the subwoofer? & when you shut off the soundbar, do you have to pair up again? Thanks 😊
You only pair it once. Typically what I did was plug it in and connected automatically.
If it doesnt auto connect, then plug the sub woofer in and hold down the power button on it until its flashing then go to the sound bar and do the same thing. It should connect almost instantly
Volume number has to be above 50 level to start to sound descend
A great product for anyone who has a foot fetish
If you use the hdmi cable the sound is superb
Thanks I’ll try it.
Got this v series this weekend and will say for the price it’s excellent
Frustrated just trying to open the remote to install the batteries. It will not slide open under gentle or non gentle sliding.

guessing the virtual dts x sucks
Do you know how to pair this soundbar with a cable remote control, particularly a Spectrum remote?
You just have to connect the sound bar to your tv using the ARC port, then you should be able to! Hope this helps
