Right. 😂😂 My braider put 9 thousand braids in my head so you could see NO scalp not even the slightest. It was so much hair it was heavy and these were knotless.....the ones that are supposed to be light. AND to boot, she did REGULAR box braids on the edges of my hair (the rest were knotless) and needless to say, my edges came out. This was Oct of 2023 and I've finally got some hair back. 😢 I haven't found a braided YET and I'm over it.
@raquelmoore3761 Yup. I'm sorry about your experience and I hope your edges continue to come back. Try massaging them with jojoba oil or ayurvedic oils like amla from time to time.
She did great . Looks like you have soft, fine, low density hair, so it’s difficult for a lot of braiders to give you a full finished look, but she did amazing and you look beautiful both ways!
I’m so tempted!! But I’m a recovering braid addict. For 2yrs straight I went from protective style to protective style. My hair became thin and sparse, my hairline broke due to the constant tension. It has been one year since I’ve been wearing medium twists no added hair and my hair has JUST started thickening again. Your braids look great but I must remember my goals!!
Tension alopecia is a bitch, I'm glad your hair is recovering. All the girls in my year started getting it when super tight slicked back buns and ponytails were in fashion in back in school. The one time my autism came in handy, I couldn't stand the feeling of that much tension on my hair so my hairline remained intact. My mum was a hairdresser and always lecturing girls to stop pulling their hair back so tight lol.
I only get my braids when I’m in London now, burned too many times. I hit up my girl as soon as I arrive and sit right down in the kitchen, gossiping drinking tea and watching cartoons with the little one. A good braider is hard to find and she’s *that* girl. 😂 🙏🏽
They look so cute! Keep in mind those braids will be too heavy for your natural hair to support and that can cause breakage. Also ensure your braider isn’t braiding too tight, at the roots or down the length of the braid, because tension also causes breakage.
Black women spending so much time with people touching their head amaze me because I'd be getting overstimulated and overwhelmed 45 minutes in and you sit through it for hours. You look so gorgeous both with and without the braids I love your hair both ways and those braids look so awesome especially in comparison to how dirty you were done before lol. You're just stunning.
Girl I’ve been to millions of braiders but there all African braiders and dang she says it’s painless I’m gonna have 2 WEEKS of sleepless nights cause of how painful they are like even my mom is an African braider
They look SO good
❤
It’s okay calm down
I’m your 1000th like 😊
@@Wishbone2334let her be excited
I love how we all generally need that marination period

@@raquelmoore3761 I don't go to the salon anymore because they really play in your hair. I do crochet box braids using pre-braided boho extensions
@@Cindy99765 : that might be the move girl. I might start doing that too.

The moment she said “semedium” was a no go zone😂
LMFAOOOO
Finding the right braider is like finding the love of your love. Someone you can trust and depend on. Through thick or thin hair.
No wait actually
I thought i found her until she took me for granted and started playing on my head 😭😭
Made me buy a mannequin head so I can learn to do it myself 😭
She did great . Looks like you have soft, fine, low density hair, so it’s difficult for a lot of braiders to give you a full finished look, but she did amazing and you look beautiful both ways!
A "smiddle" part is crazy 😭😭😭
Not “stealing my hair” 😂❤
It is always magical when you find THE braider for you ❤

I remember getting “boho” braids in 2018, when most braiders didn’t even understand what I wanted. I only had zoey kravitz pics to refer to
