seems like you are now posting videos just for the sake of it. No disrespects to Mr. Johnson, but many bowlers throughout history have had great series. Moreover, I do not see anything so "changing" about this. Probably you should have made a video on "the fearsome foursome". Thoroughly disappointed.
The series that Johnson had doesn't just make for good reading. It literally ended careers. Matthew Prior 's career was left at crossroads at only the age of 31. Graeme Swann left halfway through the series, prompting his granny to accuse the Australian's as being 'mean'. And we can't forget the worst case, Jonathan Trott, who left after one Test citing mental health, which prompted the end of a talented cricketer's career. Not to mention Kevin Pieterson, however that's another story. Four of the most instrumental figures in the England dressing room. Gone. The team was decimated purely by Mitchell Johnson. Looking at the numbers, they don't stand out like some other bowling performances, but Johnson's series had never been seen before, and likely never will. That's how he changed cricket.
@@conradbutler-bowdon634 But again, even that is not the same as changing cricket. Yes, it was a damaging series for England, but it didn't change cricket as a whole. It didn't have any lasting impact on the game as whole overall. Some of the other videos in this series genuinely changed cricket completely.
@@nikunjdixit3225 And that's why it's number 20. Of course there are more influential moments in the past 25 years. But this the best series from a bowler that the cricketing world had ever seen. He almost single-handedly burnt the England team to the ground, whilst bringing Australia to the number 1 test ranking (and lets remember, that Australian team was fairly ordinary). Also, that sort of unplayable fast bowling is what teams search for now. England hope Jofra Archer can become that, same goes for South Africa and Rabada, and once upon a time Mitch Starc looked like becoming an unplayable controlled fast bowler. So there. That's how he changed cricket. Maybe not in the traditional sense, but his effect is still being felt.
Conrad Butler-Bowdon Well, I disagree. There are more moments that fundamentally changed cricket as a whole. And that series, while influential to Australia and England, did not change cricket as a whole. Teams have always looked to have quick bowlers, even before Johnson. He didn’t change team’s perspectives on that. If anything, Jofra Archer’s inclusion is more due to the advent of limited over quick bowling from people like Starc and Bumrah. In any case, I am not judging Johnson’s performance in this series. He was obviously outstanding but when you are counting 25 moments that changed cricket, this doesn’t count as one of them for me because it didn’t change cricket as a whole.
@@nikunjdixit3225 If we want to go down this track then most of the list 'doesn't change cricket as a whole'. The Edgbaston Test match, Dhoni's Six, Warne's Ball of the Century and many others would not be counted as they didn't change cricket according to your parameters. Yes Johnson's series didn't change cricket "as a whole" as much as, say, Phillip Hughes death, or Mohummad Amir's no ball, but it sure as shit changed it more so than most of the list, for the aforementioned reasons.
I think he enjoyed clarky letting him just go for it... not worrying bout runs etc... so the pay off was no fear of the result- just bowl fast and at em... i dont care how many you go for, just whack the batsmen please

This Mitchell Johnson was top 5 all time Aussie fast bowler. Imagine him with Lillee and Thompson or Warne and McGrath. No batting order would survive. Harris wasn't to bad either.
Pure, extreme, brutish, fast bowling.. Only three guys post 2000 had the aura of lethal fast bowling Mitch Johnson, Dale Steyn & Shoaib Akhtar.
Others would argue about, Lee, Tait, Starc but those guys never intimated like the three in their prime.
just hours away from the start of the second test match between India and Australia in Perth, they release such a video eh? Oz mind games- they are leaving no holes barred boys!
I like Cricket very much when bowlers take wicket in wholesale
At his best he was great to watch but some days the ground gave him his best conditions to bowl and that meant swing now you are watching a bowler who can take a wicket with every ball.
How England's exit from 2015 world cup changed cricket
It's obvious india exit at 2015.
They are winless in all. Overseas matches from October 2014 - October 2016 not a single ODI series win excluding Zimbabwe.
Even lost Bangladesh during thay period
@@Praveen9790 what's your point?
@@pranayshinde3
There is nothing to make a video about it. Its just a normal thing that India got exit.
India faced one strong team SA and won. Rest all Weak Teams. Faced a strong Australia and went clueless on both bat and ball.

Thank you.
Not sure how I understood as our team.
Your comment is a good one.
2015 England group exit.
2019 won world cup.
Not only world cup. Consistent No1 and so dominant with the bat. That they are only team to have a overall economy rate of 6+
ODI 2015-2021 with 36 300+ scores.
So, how did it change cricket?
37 wickets. The most in a single test Series
Ian Chappell the great under-arm bowler
Ian did not agree with what his little brothers got up to
The pitch helped so much tho, the cracks in the pitch were ridiculous
if only Anderson, Broad and co. could bowl on the pitch. oh... wait a min...
Also, cracks on the pitch causing sideways deviation RARELY get wickets. Definitely the exception than the rule, which is why wickets like Ambrose v Blewett Perth 97, and Starc v NZ 2019?? are such standouts. It may cause some consternation, but for a test level batsman should not be of any great concern
What about the Adelaide pitch then?
Brutal, cruel, furious etc these types of needed to describe Johnson's bowling
Pace🔥🔥
Virat Kohli in 2014-15 test series brought Johnson's merry ride to an end.
Absolutely 💯💯
The same Johnson dismissed VK for a score of 1 in the WC semi final that year too
"You hit me once,I hit you back
You gave a kick,I gave a slap
You smashed a plate over my head
Then I set fire to our bed🔥🔥"
johnson throws fireballs in ashes 13-14
that’s why 13 is unlucky for english folks
Yeah guys he wasn't unstoppable.Johnson was a extreme bull fighter and his streching action was unpredictable.
Johnson is best bowler
How sachin arrival to the international cricket changed cricket
I don't remember the date, but a few series back the barmy army has said something bad of sorts to mitch. Guess what, he comes on to bowl the next over, hits garry ballance flush in the helmet and silences the entire crowd
Coming to this series, in the 1st innings at brisbane, he has started an actual casual spell against michael carberry, that black faced man when one of his rather slow bouncers had brought serious scare in his eyes
A few deliveries later, carberry was dismissed of a bouncer by mitch himself
Even after being an indian, its great to see the aussie attack dismantle the english batting line up for fun one series after the other. For the englishman can hardly do anything other than criticising pitches in test cricket, and yet, can't make batting friendly wickets like india and australia
But how could it change cricket
@Leeroy C it didn't change anything as we don't have brutal bowlers even now, it was just a master class from Johnson, I don't think it changed much
You should make how summer of ben stokes changed cricket
What about the worldcup final
Was he on juice? Must have been tested after the series or during
Harbhajan Singh took 32 wickets in 3 tests verses a much more intimidating Australian team. Why is that any lesser achievement and how that didn't change cricket. Johnson took 37 wickets in 5 test. If you compare the series situation, the opposition and quality of bowlers at the other end, Harbhajan's achievement is much more significant. Johnson bowled good no doubt. But it was not any cricket changing bowling. PLEASE STOP SPREADING THIS FALSE PROPAGANDA GLORIFYING SOME PLAYERS MORE THAN THEY DESERVE TO.
Harbhajhan Singh is one of the most hated cricketers of all time, an absolute tossbag
Do u fear for your life facing spin??? No .Johnson instilled a literal fear of life.
Your videos are Rubbish.. How did this Changed Cricket ? Guy had one good season and the very next season got smacked by Kohli.. Few videos Were Good like That 400+ match , IPL , Invention of T20 Because they genuinely Changed Cricket

Venky Wank just that it was a momentous and pivotal event in cricket
Why aus vs newz match underarm incident is not in 25 greatest moment in history of cricket.
Couldn't help yourself hey?
Indicate to me exactly in this particular video where Johnson changes cricket
Clearly yal just ran out of ideas for this series
Nope real fast bowling was dying at that time ..most bowlers started shortening their run up and bowled medium fast so that they could prevent injuries and they could play more years . Fast bowling was getting boring and that's when Johnson came .
Brought fast bowling back. Since the late 90s, Akhtar and Lee were the only two fast bowlers with some form of longevity till Johnson and Steyn came along.
@@rushpan93 yea but in 2013 steyn was not a fearful bowler anymore. He was just consistent. So actually johnson brought back raw fast bowling that destroys opponents.
He was so dangerous, the poms had to get ready for a broken fucken arm.
Why is his nose red ????
Someone punched him coz he lies a lot😂
How did Johnson 'change' Cricket again?
Come on, this clearly doesn't deserve to be in the 25.
He revived the art of fast bowling. The kind of bowling that intimidates batsmen.
World cricket was clearly going through a period of pussy bowling before this. I think he reminded everyone that regardless of whatever helnets u may have, a fast rising bouncer is still intimidating
Aravind tgs
You clearly didn't watch the series it was captivating
Then u give one ?
seems like you are now posting videos just for the sake of it.
And then the 2015 World Cup came and he always got hit for 11 runs in his first over
Who won that world cup again?
He isn’t Australia he is just one bowler who always got hit for 11 runs in his first over.
