"He's rhyming it perfectly. I can hear every word."
Those were the good, old days.
well let's talk about them good old days
Yes lol
💯💯💯
Man these are big facts
@@Melancthon7332 Can it be that it was all so simple then?
It genuinely hurts my heart the think you have lived this long without experiencing the wu tang clan
Thankfully I have, that was abysmal.
Patrick opinions are like arseholes though..
@@patrick1234 You’d have to know what it’s like to live in the hood to relate and appreciate the struggle expressed in this song. With a name like Patrick, I doubt you ever could, hence why you feel it’s abysmal. Doesn’t matter what u think though, Wu-Tang is 4ever.
I felt the same thing. Love seeing Jay savor and enjoy each new experience with music. My sister and I gave our kids a rap education (age appropriate obviously), but they had to know that this crap today is NOT rap.
@@patrick1234 I remember I was broke as hell sleeping on the mattress
My husband has passed but he introduced me to the Wu! Thank you 😘
Wu-Tang forever! 👐
So glad someone from your generation finally heard this. C.R.E.A.M is so fun to drive to. Triumph is so fun to run to.
Triumph hits different. That's my favorite
TBH most of his generation heard this song, assuming he’s in his mid-late 20’s
Uzi pinky ring is fun to run to too
Yes !!! now we doing old school hip hop???
Please react to Pete Rock, i know you'll love both for different reasons.

Wu Tang isn't old school bruv. Wu tang is golden era. Old school is Melle Mel, Grandmaster Flash, Spoonie G etc. Also like public enemy, run dmc, nwa, ice t, schooly d them kinda heads. Few of them crossed into the golden era days.
@@boombaporiginal3359 in 2021 this is considered old school and I can admit that as a 35 year old.
Case and point, when you turn on the radio they even have bands like Nirvana playing on classic rock stations and that’s 90’s. I know it’s the golden era but CREAM is damn near 30 years old now and a classic
@@Ant-bm1qk yeah but it's not old school just because radio and internet say so. I can admit that as a 34 year old.
@@boombaporiginal3359 it’s old school
NAS - New York State of Mind.
Wu tang clan 36 champers better than nas illmatic
Its a classic. Even here in Denmark/Europe. Wu are HUGE. They set totally new standards in Hip-Hop when they dropped their debut album in 93, where this track is from. Even to this day they headline festivals all over the world.
What they were rapping about was genuine life for many in the poor black communities. This was common all across America.
90’s classic. When Rappers actually rap about real stuff and their struggles growing up.
This song is SO RELEVANT TODAY
Woops, looks like you misspelled _TIMELESS._
I didn’t write timeless
Wu-Tang Clan always delivers.
I love when you say "Let's run it back!" You look like a DJ!!❤
I don’t know why it stands out to me so much, but I really love how they used the phrase “alive on arrival,” as a twist on “dead on arrival” (DOA). Great song!
For Real 😆
Man the next one should be Protect Ya Neck by the Wu Tang.
🔥👊🏽👏🏽
My fav Wu track off all time!
Yes!!!
Best song!
@@brucenadeau5920 it isnt better than cream
Man, I've been listening to Wu-Tang for a quarter of a century!
Me too
Still have my daily dose of 36 Chambers
Same! Wu-tang all day every day
Still listening tday 👐👐👐👐😜
I was thinking the same.
Check out the Pharcyde "runnin" I think you would dig it
Passin Me By too!
@@gabone324 Definitely Passin Me By
And 'Drop' and 'Ya Mamma'.
Thanks man!! I’m from The Bronx!! Wu Tang are legends in NY!! ✊💯
Wu Tang are legends all over the world. Take it from me living in Denmark/Europe
🙌 YES!! Grew up in NYC (Hells Kitchen) but Moved to NJ and now I got my teenage daughters rocking Wu Tang too now ❤️
React to Shook Ones part2 by Mobb Deep.
Yessir 🔥
My heart is hard rock metal, BUT my friend introduced me to the Wu back in 1995 or 96 and it blew my mind. This is hip hop at its finest. That keyboard hooked me.
I was blessed enough to see Wu Tang in concert with Rage against the Machine. Hands down my favorite concert
Check out the different members solo work. It’s crazy how they took such different approaches to their styles but on when they came together it meshed so well. Old Dirty Bastard was super creative.
This whole album is knockin still almost 30 years later
You’re just learning of the Wu now?
You should check out more of their earlier solo albums. Liquid Swords by GZA is one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.
Those were the days. This new shit out now is mostly trash.
Jayvee: I guess the cream stands for something.
ME: CASH RULES EVERYTHING AROUND ME - CREAM, DOLLA DOLLA BILL YAAAALLLL
Damn, I feel like such an idiot. I know this song but never made the connection of what C.R.E.A.M. stood for.
I mean, I'm aging myself here lol... Love it. NY's finest.
Naughty by Nature "Everything's gonna be alright". It has a message.
no words needed. Wu Tang Clan...
I’ve been binging your videos the last couple of hours and was hoping you did some WU!! Your life is better with WU in it right?! It brings me joy to see the appreciation for REAL RAP!! Killa bee’s y’all!!! You need to get with Public Enemy.
Wow your new to WU TANG where u been lad 😂
This was friggin awesome - it’s going on my playlist immediately. TY for introducing me, I missed it somehow.
The boom bap is coming back with an axe to mumble rap
@JayveeTV The song that most referenced C.R.E.A.M. was Wyclef Jean's Sweetest Girl, but you can find Wu references all across hip-hop to this day.
36 chambers rules. No skip album right there.
From 1st to last song EVERY day ❤️
@@MsAnP1 Yes ♥️
"Cash Rules Everything Around Me" (C.R.E.A.M.).
Yeah. Saying it as it is ❤️
You broke down this song beautifully, JayveeTV 👌😘✌️
Damn man this was the jam in every skateboard park back in the day.
My favorite wu tang song
WU TANG! WU TANG! Check out “Protect Ya Neck” and “Method Men”. Soooooooo!!
You should check out "Bring the Pain" by Method Man, the one who keeps saying "Cash Rules Everything Around Me." He also played the character Cheese on The Wire.
Method Man is in Wu-Tang and has a great song with Mary J. Blige “I’ll be there for you/ All I need to get by”. You’ll also like Mary J. Blige’s song “Family Affair”
Legendary song right here.i was there in 1993 when this masterpiece came.word up son
Thses guys spoke how it was.
Modern poetry
Wu Tang!! Now that's 90's hip hop at it's best! Your music discovery jas really grown Jay.
Completely different from anything today
One shocking thing about this song imho is the whole part about being depressed. I mean, guys from Wu grew up in "the hood" and it was the early 90s. Rapper openly talking about mental health in a song considering those circumstances is seriously amazing. Its 25+ years later and there is still a pretty big stigma when it comes to talking about mental health.
If you're into dope 90's hip hop, I highly recommend Jeru the Damaja's first album, The Sun Rises In The East.
For a video to react to, check out Ya Playin' Yaself.
I kinda like it 🎧🎶 I’m glad you are interpreting
I'm in this video. I was a teenager. Parts of this video was recorded in Stapleton projects. Shalion babyyyyyy
Wu-Tang is for the kids!
No wu-tang for everyone👐
This song was top of the charts back in the day.
NEW YORK was a VERY TOUGH place to be.
I would take 2024 any day over the 80s and 90s.
These guys like WU-TANG, NAUGHTY BY NATURE, BUSTA RYHMES, and so.... on!! HARDEN VETERANS!!!!!
This song is iconic 👐
Real music 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥😎😎WU TANG For life😎
I had the chance to see Wu Tang a few years ago. Damn... I can’t even describe the energy. Top 3 on most incredible concerts of my life
Handcuffed,
The back of a bus,
40 of us....
Life as a shorty shouldn't be so tough
Krs-1 You need to check them out
My favorite rapper ever!!!
Him... You need to check “him” out.
The man is a legend.
Growing up on Staten Island I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Wu-Tang at a young age, I can’t remember the first time I’ve heard it but I’ve never stopped!
Raekwon and Inspectah Deck killed this! Im glad you got the mesaage loud and clear , a lot of folk ignore the verses and focus on the chorus
Listen to triumph... that one is so dope
You spoke the truth!
Check out their song Protect Ya Neck
I'll never not watch someone's reaction to this song because I remember when I first heard it.. Chills. The beat is hard af and that piano.. Your reaction seems like one of the most genuine/ not over reacted and I like that!
WuTang is forever
These 3 words tho!!!!
Dude, yer killin' me. So cool that people are recommending such a perfect variety of music for you. Truly fun channel, one of the best on YT.
Great reaction! If you're going to delve into more Wu Tang I would recommend Ice Cream or Triumph but honestly their entire catalog is good. Method Man and Raekwon are the standouts IMO if you check out the solo emcees within the group. If you're looking for more old school hip hop ( I just watched your Rob Bass reaction :) ) check out anything by A Tribe Called Quest, My Philosophy by KRS One or maybe Passing Me By by The Pharcyde or Luchini by Camp Lo. They're within the late 80's-mid 90's range but you'll definitely enjoy them.
Wow you went all in with this one. You’re gonna love them buddy
Jamaica queens nyc my hometown ..method man and wu tang are legends of Nyc .that 90s flow i was in my teens with this one..never sleep on. South Jamaica queens nyc 🔥🔥🔥
I don't think this was the song you were thinking, but the Transplants have a song called 'D.R.E.A.M" that's a play on this song.
I’m so glad I’m only 12 and my mom got me into old school rap (biggie,2pac,Eazy-e,wutang exc)
Da mystery of chessboxin' - wu tang clan
I remember watching this on yo MTV Raps life, back in the day.
I have that shirt!
Glad you've been introduced to Wu-Tang. They're incredible
you gotta do - protect ya neck by Wu tang and Method man by method man
- also check out Bring da pain by method man , Wu tang - da mystery of chessboxin
wow how can you just now (or 25 nov 2020) listen to Wu-Tang Clan for the first time, have you lived under a rock? I saw em live at Hultsfred Music Festival in -97 ;)
"Living Prof" by Group Home is an underground monster hit that samples this. Would be great to hear your take on it. It's another song about reality.
RZA was also in Gravediggaz and had a similar style to Wu-Tang, check out - Gravediggaz - "1-800 Suicide"
I love the way tang clan! You should react to bring da ruckus, and wu tang clan ain't nothing to f*** with. Also many of the members had very impressive solo careers my personal favorite was ol' dirty bastard's
you gotta do Triumph by Wu-Tang
This song is one of the baddest! 🔥 this beat is just classic
This will always be my favorite wutang song. If you smoke, this is the song to relax to.
Wow, the sound quality on your channel is full-force!
Oooh, where rap crosses over with R & B. Nicely done.
Also, I have just adjusted my settings within my own RUclips settings and I hope that now I will actually get notifications from your channels. Yay! It's not enough to just click the notification button next to the subscribe option....
Wu Tang throws down...love Method Man!
The Song Your Speaking Of Is Pound Cake Drake featuring Jay Z that's where you heard But This Song Was Epic Back 94 glad you liked it great reaction 🙌
"though I don't know why I chose to smoke to excess, I guess that's the time when I'm not depressed..." becomes "...to smoke the cess".
This. Thisssssss is my music. Damn I miss my youth! NYC lyfeeeeeeeee
Ghetto Boys Mind is Playing Tricks on Me
🚨🚨🚨One of the best classic hip hop songs from one of the best rappers ever...
Please listen to KRS One's song Step Into A World!!! It will forever be one of your favorites too! Promise!!
One of my all time faves!
True story: Wu-Tang is beloved across America
And the world 🌎🌍
Wait hold up? He's never heard Wu Tang Cream? How is this possible. This hurts.
Most people I know have never heard of Wu Tang. Most people under 20 havent and loads of ppl under 30.
This is the soundtrack to hip hop this is what it was all about
I knew a girl that got C.R.E.A.M. on her stomach. That's not a joke. She thought it was tough until literally everyone clowned her. Piaso
I've met all these cats cool dudes. Best hip-hop group of all time.. Almost 40yrs old grew up in the dope MCs era. Check out Kool G Rap.
Old Dirty Bastard´s he´s grandfather was a chief in the Shinnecock , Indian Naion. That means a Native Black American, an indigenous black American colored race. So is James Brown, Dr Martin Luther King, his wife Coretta King, Jimi Hendrix, The Jacksons, Rosa Parks, James Earl JOnes (The real voice behind the first Darth Vader ) LL Cool J and others.
Wu-Tang as a game changer, simple as that.
THIS SONG WAS MEDICINE IN THE CANDY. A DOPE SONG WITH A STRONG POSITIVE MESSAGE. THAT WAS WU-TANG FOR YOU.
Wu-Tang is forever!
(Try some more!)
Wu Tang is the BEST and RZA's beats are so insanely awesome!!!!!
The intro always reminds me Changing Faces "Stroke You Up"
React to limp bizkit and method man (speaking of wu-tang clan) - N 2 gether now
"I like songs with a message". That's every rap song in the 90's my man.
Can’t go wrong with the Wu!
Damn these were the days to be alive
