Shoot the wrong shell on the wrong setting and it will slam the piston into the adjustable choke. Let someone borrow it and they did that. Now i cant find the part.
I bought the Turkish bullpup imported by century arms. I paid $200 at psa last October and it runs amazing. It jammed a bunch at first and now it cycles 1oz reliably. It does come with a different piston for heavy magnums, but I haven’t tried it yet.
The original JTS AK12 seems to have been the most reliable, the T1 seems to be the worst. The T2 is questionable but does allow the fitment of Saga 12 drum magazines WITHOUT any modifications. There are no known drum magazines to fit the original JTS AK 12 and the T1 version without extensive modification to the magazine well. I hope your T1 version proves different. I believe you are supposed to break it on setting 3.
Good deal!!! Now if I could only find some FRAG-12 rounds 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. My neighbor purchased the original model and followed advice and dismantled the gas plug and piston assembly and found a lot of grease and metal shavings, so a good cleaning was needed before the first rounds. If not, the particles of carbon from the fired shells will become captured in the grease and the gas plug/regulator will become seized.
Honestly I'd save up and get ether the Kalashnikov USA saiga or look for an sds lynx. There's a guy at the range I work at who uses a lynx for sporting clays and I've seen him shoot 25's on trap and a 24 on five stand.
Well, it seems to run good with the proper gas settings for the chosen round. Weird how the recoil was unseating the mag while it was touching the shooting bench.
I bought one of these online, when it arrived there was rust all up in the receiver and gas block. If you get one, make sure its well oiled when you store it! Runs reliably tho
I shoot thousands of shotgun rounds a year defending our orchards and that could be good with ten rounder , run it and figure it out and get any bugs out, I like 10 rds and the Chinese can make rugged great guns like Norinco ect...
What velocity where those rounds Per factory rep run 200-300 rounds of 1350fps rounds and higher to break it in then she should run anything you want..... still dont completely believe it but thats what they say.
This seems like a nice shotgun. I have never owned a semi auto mag fed shotgun before, and something like this would probably scratch that itch, at a good pricepoint. Maybe you should try authentic 10 round Saiga 12 mags to see if they do not have the issue of falling out? That being said I have a few questions - 1: Do you think this JTS MK12AK is worth getting over a $1K K-USA Saiga 12 copy value & reliability wise, AKA "Just As Good"? 2: Are you eventually going to test the JTS M12AR 12 Gauge AR shotgun (at PSA's website it is $250)? 2.5: If you do test the JTS AR12 can you show what modifications are possible to the gun, like ability to change the buffer tube to allow regular AR stocks? Wonderful video btw!
Thanks! 1) I've not tried the Saiga. I will say that I'd rather have the Fostech ORIGIN . That Shotgun is awesome. 2) I have no intentions to buy the AR 12 Gauge. If you buy one and live in Alaska, I'll bring the ammo and we can make a video.
@@AlaskanBallistics Sadly, my expenses & earnings are not quite to the area where I can go out and purchase a $3K Origin 12 shotgun outright, and same on my credit card (I mean, I probably could? But I would have to do minimum payments for 6 months on my credit card, and thats probably not a wise decision 😆). I also don't live in Alaska sadly, or I would probably take you up on that offer. Knowing my luck, by the time I order a semi auto mag fed shotgun and have it shipped to my FFL, they will be banned because of "destructive assault features" by the "RINO" GOP & currupt Democrat representatives in my state. They already made it a felony to do private transfers of firearms, made harsh red flag laws, and is trying to ban lead ammo.
@AlaskanBallistics, Mine was great for a little while, then it started being very unreliable. Of course, any time I say that, I get bombarded by people saying that I didn't break it in right, that I don't know how the gas adjustment works, ect.... rest assured I had done everything they said I needed to do and I still had problems. It's a $250 semi auto shotgun, no surprise there are some lemons out there and some good ones. But people defend this thing more viciously than any gun I've seen. I had one guy tell me he had 4 and was planning on getting a few more and that his friend had 11 of them and all were 100% flawless. I would assume it was a joke but he seemed quite serious and made several long posts about how good they were.
@@AlaskanBallistics For one with me. I have a loose temper when it comes to guns. All firearms, will malfunction regardless of the make and model. I would have lost it quick after 5 rounds of feed jams or improper loading 😠 😡 🤬. Plus being in a hostile, situation wouldn't do my nerves any good. Only positive about this gun is the price. But I would grab a Mossberg quick if it was twice the price 🤝🏾
I like that. I had a molot 12g around 2yrs ago, traded it for a glock gen3 10mm & 1,ooo bucks lol
Nice
Looks like I might need one.
It's fun for sure.
Outstanding presentation as always Chuck! Thanks for the info.
No problem. Thanks

The choke is inside the barrel... how did it fly into the barrel?
@@AlaskanBallistics the gas block sorry idk why I eveb said that I'm half asleep up with my new born.
@fie.56 I understand completely. 👍 that being said i very he accidentally turned it to the take of for cleaning setting
@@AlaskanBallistics not will never loan another gun out I know that. Couldn't find the part. Thankfully it was a cheap gun.

Yeah i cleaned mine first too
👍👍thanks Chuck, seems pretty good once you learned what gas setting to use for different brands and types of ammo.
Yep!

I agree with you 💯.
I have the KUSA saiga clone and my friend got the JTS and the JTS won’t accept any of the saiga mags even tho it claims to on the website
@stevesmith5457 interesting
Well, it seems to run good with the proper gas settings for the chosen round. Weird how the recoil was unseating the mag while it was touching the shooting bench.
It was above the shooting bench

I'm sorry that happened to you. Thank you for the information. Godspeed and good hunting my friend
AB. Good video and gun review. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Thanks Bobcat!
The only failures I had with the 1301 was with Winchester military grade buckshot. All of the hornady loads worked perfectly.
Cool info, good to know. Thanks!
once Iran puts their flag on Antarctica and call it home (which Iran claim is already theirs ) shit is going down
Lol their navy can't make it there
@AlaskanBallistics
look into man, Iran is more serious about Antarctica than attacking Israel.
@GoodGodwin I'll check that out thanks

Yeah it would be good for that for sure!
I love mine runs damn well, I’ve heard the bolt is cast
I don't think so.
I am curious about the Mossberg 590m especially if they made a factory sbs or a shockwave version I could form 1.
Cool Cool
Black aces semi auto half metal tac 00 runs real well

@CreasyEQ or you could set the gas settings properly and run it just fine.
SORRY STAYING WITH MY M-4, ARE REMINGTON 870 OR 1100.
ARE?
These shotguns have a break in period. A couple hundred rounds and it should run fine.
Thanks
All three huh man dont let chuke teach you math brother
🤦♂️
Mine runs flawless but is extremely inaccurate.
Yeah I'm going to get a better sight on it before patterning it
Are those low recoil slugs. If so, that’s probably your problem. Most semi autos need the full power stuff.
Do you not know about black magic magnums? Most powerful slug made

You're so fast

Lol everyone's got to eat
That gun looks cool but functioned like horrible garbage!
Only because you have to match the gas settings to the load. That's the same as any semi auto gas gun
They need to be broke in. People said the same about saga at first but later on they run fine and then they went from $500 to $1000.
