I agree with you... I bought one several months ago... This one is perfect for you to get 3 or 4 radios for SHTF situation. During hurricane season I give them to my neighbors... we keep in touch during the hurricane and keep each other informed of fallen trees, or any other issues. I think is a great radio... Thanks for the video.
Dear BSR, do you know by any chance whether Smiley antennas sold on Amazon from "The Tuned Antenna Store" are legit or fake? I found an Amazon link in the video description from the "First United Tactical and Outdoors" channel. What got me interested is that they apparently sell these antennas with neat cone-shaped plastic covers that cover the antenna port on the radio. However, there is something fishy about their product description. For example, they refer to the 465 MHz antenna as a "2 meter Handheld Radio Antenna". Plus poor English. So I was wondering if I could trust them.
@@SK-rj1ti I’m not sure about that store - it does sound fishy. I have someone working on some new cones that fit my radios perfectly and of course I only sell genuine Smiley Antennas. Support small business and give me a shot, and you can always pick up the cones later when they come out. The cones from Smiley aren’t very good IMHO, but mine will be. :)

Trying to decide between this Talkpod model and Tidradio H3. Not that I need another radio, but I sure want one:)
Hang tight the 8w version is enroute.
Try the 8W Version. This is 5W version.
Will do
A decent little radio, but it’s against FCC rules to sell or market it in its current configuration as a “GMRS” radio.

Yeah, don’t know if they are unaware of the part 95 regs, or do and trying to get in the market asap.
