We got the baby version e43 AMG and that’s is hair raising enough for us old folks, we test drove the e63 but it was too fast for us. It’s a lovely car and I’m still clueless on 95% of the functions !

Best Wagon for sale at the moment. BMW have such a big mistake not building a touring version of the M5 and even the M3. an M XDrive touring version of the M3 would hit Audi RS4 sales where it hurts.

The problem with Mercedes is they never can make some normal and good looking headlights. The problem with this car is that they are not a sports car company so none of their “sports” models will give people that feeling. Doesn’t even look like one. It’s not a Porsche after all. Hopefully they stop drifting to this direction. And with the new A class sedan I really don’t know what kind of cars they’re trying to make nowadays. It’s also strange how they are putting most of their focus on these odd four door/two door sports sedan (in this case wagon lol) cars instead of their actual iconic SL/SLC coupes.

I agree with you. But the thing is all of these car companies are heading in a direction where the demands are. As a result, the cars they make are going in a different direction than what their "heritage" originally represented. That's why BMW's (which used to be all about driving) are now focused on making their car luxurious and Mercedes (which used to be all about luxury) are now focused on making their cars sporty due to people wanting a combined sporty and luxury feel to their cars. I love some of the past iconic cars just like you but unfortunately, that's not where these manufactures can make good profit.
