Speaking from personal experience don’t underestimate the strength required of the K-Frame for the Pacer. I found out the hard way that because of the design of the “frame horns” and the front suspension what looks like a way overbuilt K-Frame on the car was actually really not. That said engine plates help but the key word is help. If you can find a cheap manual Pinto rack you will be much better off.

With it's center of gravity lowered as much as Brent wants it to be the dam thing is going to be like an angry turtle! It being a unibody you might want to add some body stiffeners like a tunnel plate and some shock tower brace's. *Also in honor of it being a 1976 Bicentennial car, she need's a Founding Fathers Flag 76 Bennington Vintage Flag flying from a mast in the rear!!!

Javelin or the AMX make badass drag cars I have seen both cars with a BBC in them go pretty damn fast and the AMX if it weren't for the wheelie bars those cars stand on the bumper
I'm already pumped the V2 of this build. Supercharger+zummies= smiles for miles! And already motor-plating it and ditching conventional mounts! Smart move thinking ahead like that, cause we all know you'd eventually need it for this build. Lol! This is awesome

HI Brent , Some of the Aussie cars add a Water tank , Basically holds an extra 10L of water , so the car takes longer to over heat , meaning a longer skid if needed .. Mind you we usually have a time limit of 1 to 2 mins to get the tires off in competition !!

Naturally people expect this to be a drag car, but, I think with some lightening techniques and some decent suspension fabbed up with quality dampers and sways…this could make a killer sleeper road race car. I’ve always wanted to build one of these into a sleeper.

yep i had this problem with a 350sb swapped chevette. it would pop the windshield out on launch. And Gordo should be in a cage anyway. We've all seen crazy shit happen, cars up on the barriers n shit... would not put it past Gordo to flip a Pacer on the burnout pad. Definitely cage it up. there's no good reason not to.
Gordo is doing his best to provide additional commentary and pull comments out of the guys and I definitely appreciate the effort.

they will find out soon enough they will need baffles in the pan anyway, it's gonna need lots of little tweaks in order to be perfect.

The Pacer is a unibody car. Need to strengthen so all that HP doesn't twist the body.

Look into the Holley conversion pan. It’s a lot shallower and you don’t have to cut stuff up
