It’s not bad but the book traveling couple don’t add much to the story. This would have been better as the main leads main story on its own. Bc the plot isn’t bad. ML seems bad in the original but as the story unfold, they both are pretty good to each other in their own way. ML was NOT abusive like the book said. FL wasnt weak and also scheming herself. They were working with each other and FL was pretending to work for the mother while helping ML to get resources for her own business. She’s very calculating as well. They had some slight angst but really quickly get over it. The rest of the time they’re pretty much were teaming up and lots of kisses to satisfy us. The concept of two couples with one traveling into another’s story started cute but I was disappointed that the book traveling characters didn’t do much 😅 also the sub isn’t super accurate so some things get lost on the mix. The main lead have fire chemistry as usual though. I wish the traveling pair interacted with the story more and sort of be closer with the main leads. Some girl time would be nice. I would have love for them to actually become close friends and the traveling pair can help clear some misunderstandings or something. That would make the most of the two CPs. But otherwise the main leads real story is pretty good on its own
So love the M/L and F//L to top it up the two comers that helps the F/L is the other two actor and actress is two of my favorites so good to watched them four acting I love it
I like Bai Yan, her acting is great. But, why do i feel like all of her drama nowadays at first (from the bts clip during filming) seems promising, but turn out it's bad, the execution really bad tbh. I don't feel the emotion or where the plot goes on. Her drama with Wang Yiran back then are really good, even though a lot of violence but I can feel the emotion, the plot still smooth. But now, I think she should choose her upcoming drama script wisely, bcs if it's always like this, she will be replaced by other actresses with the same abilities who choose dramas with interesting plots.
