WFDL DISSAPOINTED IN GOD MATTHEW 11 1 When Jesus had finished giving these instructions to his twelve disciples, he went out to teach and preach in towns throughout the region. 2 John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, 3 “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting,[a] or should we keep looking for someone else?” 4 Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen- 5 the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.” 6 And he added, “God blesses those who do not fall away because of me. John the Baptist is at a very low point in life due to the way things have turned out. He has given up the comforts of life, lived in the wilderness, worn camels hair for clothing eaten wild honey and locusts and faithfully preached the message that was given to him. Yet he finds himself in prison despite his faithful obedience. To top it all off Jesus has not restored the Kingdom to Israel as he expected. Jesus sends word to John that although things have not turned out as you expected, I want you to know that I am still at work. In this time of disappointment over the election trust that God is at work still and blessed are those who do not fall away because of disappointment. Jesus didn't rebuke John he comforted him in his confusion and disappointment. It is OK to express your confusion and disappointment to the Lord. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5
I totally agree. I am glad you are responding biblically with this entire situation. Jesus Christ is our savior. We can pray for our leaders that they will do the right thing especially if they can align it biblically. Thanks Allen!
He says that now, about a month ago he was all but telling individuals to vote for DJT (the 34 count convicted felon). DJT was concerned about himself and only himself....but hopefully prayers by all can CHANGE WHO HE ACTUALLY is and put Country over Party and Self since individuals like Allen Parr thought that that wasn't important and got hung up on one thing and one thing only! I pray that no woman or immigrant (which WE ALL ARE) will have to be displaced or die because of DJT.

Understand, it's not because I hoped in one or the other. It's because I've seen who Trump is as a person. Yes, I used his name. I learned about his character as a man a long time ago, and he never sat right with me. I simply have to set my faith in God and live in my calling as a Christian, to love God, love self, and love my neighbor. There are no qualifications as to who my neighbor is, and it is not my place to say. Everyone is my neighbor, and I am called only to love them. Thank you for keeping your response biblical and reinforcing that God is our God and politics is just of the world.

This was edifying. @@storm-shadow1237To suggest that it is not God's will implies He is not in control. That is utterly false. Everything is in God's will. Always remember situations like this there are people who do not think or feel like you guys do. And every time I go on Christian media sites all I see is gloating and people saying people like me are evil. And for that reason I will no longer be going on these sites anymore. Perfect timing. Hours before I saw this, I posted on my facebook, “welp, as a Christ follower. I will continue toto pray for our leaders. As well as for our Country.” I left it at that. My focus will stay on God🙏🏽.
You don't care? Did God not appoint us (in a democratic republic society, as voting citizens) to govern through our vote? After all, He is the one who appoints leaders. Elected officials are not the leaders. They are representatives of us, the voter. We are called to lead through voting. We should absolutely care.
I just finished Judges and this morning, my bible study covered 1 Samuel. In particular Chapter 8 caught my attention. 6 But when they said, "Give us a king to lead us," this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD. 7 And the LORD told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do." 10 Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who were asking him for a king. 47 told us who he is. Praying for our leadership but will not be surprised if we go into a dark time for our country, I know it is God’s will to bring us back to Him. I would appreciate any feedback because I sense that we just chose Barabbas.
I agree with you. 47 told us and showed us exactly who he is, yet we wanted him anyway. So God delivered him to us. I fear we may now learn a lesson the hard way.
I agree, too. I was telling someone the same scriptures this morning. I think it's the evangelical churches who have traded Jesus for Trump. He is allowing them to have him. They may soon regret it. You can't call out the democrats for sin and then ignore Trump and the republican party for theirs. God isn't choosing sides. He is taking over.
Yes, sometimes God will give people what they ask for...and then the people will be begging for deliverance. There are seven things that God hates and Trump was ALL of those things. His supporters have no idea what they've done... judgement will be upon us...smh
You are the only Christian RUclipsr that I follow who has presented a response to this election in a strictly biblical way and I greatly appreciate it. The political idolatry that has been observed from the church on both sides of the fence has been disturbing. Thank you for your faithful biblical support. Don't gloat is very wise advice. Gal 5:26...we need to have a heart of gentleness and since we are in the flesh we must cling to the spirit. Good reminder, let's not be used as a tool of satan.

Hi Allen, I am not an American but we think about other countries. Thankyou for bringing this into perspective and reminding us that what God says is what we should be applying to our lives. God bless you brother in Christ.
I'm confused...where was this message before the election? Many men of the cloth took sides citing various reasons. I withdrew from watching these videos, yours included, because it was clear that pastors were Democrats and Republicans ahead of Christ followers. I may be wrong, but thats what I perceived. May the good Lord continue to bless and keep us and may we look to Him for guidance.
I think the biggest mistake I've seen Christians making is thinking either candidate or party perfectly represents Christ. I so often hear people say "Jesus would be a Republican" or "Jesus would be a Democrat", no, Jesus came to bring HIS Kingdom to the world, not to be part of a political party.
Imma be honest…. This is the approach I would take. However, I have MANY Christian friends that are gloating and don’t care to be compassionate to those who are hurting. I’ve been a bit devastated by this election and haven’t had one Christian brother or sister check up on me. I ain’t saying I trust in politics, I trust in Jesus. But the fact that the compassion is absent speaks volumes. So,it is what it is.
There is a lot of hurt on the conservative side, too. For the past year, we've been called fascists, racists, misogynistic, nazis, garbage, etc. People feel its their right to gloat a bit. I'm not saying it's ok, but I get it. I certainly am not rubbing it in anyone's face, but I am joyful in my heart and thankful to the Lord.
@@adriantristan764 Y'all Call it gloating and with not. Because you are opposite of the results from the election. But alot of the Christians I saw praised God immediately. This video says nothing of the other type of Christian that cheered and praised God for the outcome. I see what God is doing THROUGH this man just as I see God working THROUGH the IMPERFECT people of the Bible.
@@Walt80Dude, gloating is gloating and brother Allen just talked about what God says about it in the Bible. No one is talking about praising God for outcomes. That’s a different topic entirely and I never opposed that. So I’m not sure if you’re packaging me into some other perspective you’ve observed but that wasn’t my stance at all. As a Christian and legal immigrant I have to say that the Christianity in this society is the craziest I have ever seen. Now pastor are saying that they have to pray for who ever is in power but before the election they manipulated their congregation to pick a candidate. Complete contradiction. I’ve been attending American church for many years but I decided to go back to my Hispanic church because they are more focus in seek Jesus than politics.
@@jamavestergaard6745 that’s ok, I don’t have any problem with that. My argument is about pastor talking politics in the pulpit or social media. I saw pastors kicking their democrats members out of church through their sermons. My own pastor said, there’s people that I have to teach them how to vote. In my opinion, this country is the country of freedom of religion. it says in the constitution so I don’t understand why we have to try to push Christianity in the people through politic or government. During Democrats administration, no guns were taken or Christian churches were prohibited nor communism implemented. Homosexuality exists since the old testament history. In conclusion I think that a hysteria was created among evangelicals with no real reason. If we really believe that God is in control, no matter who is president, his word will be fulfilled. We have to vote without fighting between each other because the unbelievers are watching our mess. We caused more division than unity.
Most of the churches I attend don't preach politics and stay neutral. I mostly go to multicultural or Black churches that don't allow politicians in the church speaking to the congregation, so I don't have that problem. If they were too political for either side, I'd leave because I believe Christ Followers are to be independent yet still involved in the political process. 😊
God chose for him to be in power the first term he did he moved in a way no other president has God used him to bring peace rather than war and violence he made sure the country was getting it's dues worldwide and soon as Biden came boom he brought it all down hill quickly and we can see where the country has headed during this term and that is away from God. Due to the fact that they want nothing to do with The Father is why God didn't back the president and this term, it speaks for itself. We are not to trust man but trust God.
I pray this message will be preached from the pulpits around this nation on Sunday. "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ", Ph 3:20
Thank you so much for this message, brother Allen. Really helpful and encouraging reminders! God is so good. It's a comfort and relief that it's all in His mighty, righteous, and immeasurably wise hands.
To late, I've had several Trump supporters attacked me. I said the people voted, and I'm respectful of the outcome because I said my trust, and faith is in God, and I was still attacked, but I'm just praying for all of us. I'm not worried about what no sinful man will do because God has, and will always take care of me. I don't worry, I pray.
Allen, thank you so very much for this particular video. I am in Cameroon in West Africa and I have families in the USA and they're having mixed feelings about these elections. God bless you and my brethren.
Sadly, there will be gloating and so much more. This election has shown the division in America and is the fulfillment of prophecy. What you are saying is correct but we aren't unified as Christians and that it a large part of our problem. My focus is on God and my salvation and standing and believing his Word and my place in his Kingdom.
It's also important for Christians to remember that there's no scripture that says God calls people to institute Biblical teachings into government policy or law. Do what you do, be the light that influences others. The world will hopefully follow suit.
Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
We have a blue print of what a nations laws would look like if God instituted them. Yes we are living in the new testament but we need to use the principles and wisdom from how God set it up so that we also can flourish as a nation.
@@tpham7632 Moses and David imposed laws on THEIR people, the people who where chosen and had likewise oh so chose to follow the Lord. They have never dictated how other nations which they live among or nearby shoud live.
Bro. Allan, I’ve now heard you speak on the current political situation in our country several times in the past weeks . One thing missing in your talks has consistently been the issue of character as it pertains to leadership for our country, especially since the Republican party is greatly backed by a multitude of evangelical leaders . When was moral character taken off the Christians’ list of qualifications for leadership? Did I miss something? If there is scriptural basis for this topic, please provide. I find it interesting that in this recent post as you speak to the conduct of how we should treat one another as Christians you have no comment on what we should expect from people and a person who has been selected to lead our charge and our country. I truly do want to understand your perspective on not commenting this topic of character as a pertains to the now president elect’s character. as the young people say please make it make sense.
Great question, however it’s assuming that the character of the other individual is any better than the president elect. How does a Christian equate good character with a person that runs a campaign based on the elimination and disfigurement of children? I would argue that the character of that individual is not better and in fact is far worse.
@@joelb1If this is how Christianity and the church shape your reasoning and logical thinking, then I pray that none of my descendants become Christians, because the reasoning and logic coming from Christians on some issues indicate a religion impinging upon a sound mind. There are thousands of issues in a country beyond just abortion. Supporting abortion does not force a Christian to commit abortion, and banning it does not make people holy. If you compare the lifestyles of Harris and Trump and conclude that Trump is morally superior to Harris, then I want no part in a religion that promotes that kind of thinking. The love for Trump has consumed Christians to the point of idolatry; their obsession with him is mind-boggling. If you wouldn’t accept someone like Trump as your husband, father, pastor, or religious counselor, then it is morally inconsistent to accept him as the leader of your country. I spent 40 years of my life in the church as a Bible teacher, usher, and 'holy police' member, and the standards of Christianity in these modern days astonish me. We now have Christians who respond emotionally, basing their views on feelings rather than alignment with the word of God. In the morally upright days of American politics, someone like Trump wouldn’t even win a primary. But standards have dropped so low now that anyone could become president in the future. Christians have lost the moral standing to criticize any future candidates for political office on the grounds of character.
Trying to talk common sense to Christians today is a waste of time. The devil has taken full control of their minds. What you see is just an empty shell making the most noise. When it comes to rational thinking and sound biblical understanding, this generation of Christians is not the kind of group to engage in meaningful conversations. Of course, they cannot discuss the issue of character because, despite the noise they make about salvation and Jesus, the majority of them struggle with morality and character. As a former evangelical myself, I saw it every day during my 40 years in the church. Many Christians struggle with addiction (gambling, drugs), relationship crises (fornication, adultery), deception, and more. That's why it’s easy for them to align with someone of questionable and glaringly poor moral character.
@@elifern2642 exactly. When Christians pretend we’re voting for righteous people when we vote for a particular candidate, we’re fooling ourselves. When it comes down to it, we have to vote based on policy, not person. Both options will NEVER fill the shoes of our one true King, Jesus. One day, no voting will be needed and we’ll have our great King with us in glory. And we’ll have safe and secure borders with our born again brothers and sisters in Christ, a renewed and restored earth, and no more death to witness or see promoted. What a day that will be!
“First of all, then, I exhort that petitions and prayers, requests and thanksgivings, be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 LSB
God is not surprised! There is nothing that happens that He does not allow. Please don't complain when things change. If you don't know the Lord, now is the time. Jesus is definitely coming back soon.
There is no cause to gloat or rejoice at the outcome of this election. Proverbs 6:16-19 says "There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush to evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers." Unfortunately, a majority of us have elected a man who exhibits all six and even the seventh that the LORD detests - stirring up dissension among us. However, I remain comforted knowing that it is in God's hands.
Yawn* Do you think the bible is saying you can never be proud about anything??? Trump is at best a hyperbole master. Trump is certainly far more truthful than your average politicians. You think trump exhibits all of these?? Holy crap get your TDS checked. Did jesus not create dissension between those who are with him and those who are against him? When christians have completely opposing worldviews that is going to create dissension. Especially when there are christians who actually think they are justified to vote for the democrat party
One of the biggest issue I have with the evangelicals is their strong desire to save America for God. God is in the soul saving business, He don’t care about a piece of land he spoke into existence.
2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Many, many more faith leaders would do well to take Allen's tone and perspective on this. Instead of acting like a cheerleader for particular candidates.
Thank you, and I thank God for you. I was spinning out, but you sharing the Word helped me to regain my focus. ❤ My faith never waned but my focus was off.
I have never felt the need to talk about elections in the past and don't feel the need to discuss it now. I have spoken privately with some people and friends but I have chosen to use these moments to share Jesus. I just keep my opinions and voting leanings to myself. I only discuss it with my husband and now my adult son to help him learn to make his own descions. The night of the election, I went to bed before the results and I prayed that night that regardless of who won the election, I don't serve them I serve the Holy God of heaven. And I have security in the future because my faith and vision is on the Lord and not what is happening in the world. ❤ Jesus is my security, not a flawed human presidential candidate.

MATTHEW 11
1 When Jesus had finished giving these instructions to his twelve disciples, he went out to teach and preach in towns throughout the region.
2 John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, 3 “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting,[a] or should we keep looking for someone else?”
4 Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen- 5 the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.” 6 And he added, “God blesses those who do not fall away because of me.
James 1:5

Biblical? This guy? Anyone can quote verses out of context.
@ChelseyKenesky, exactly! That post by Allen was totally unnecessary and divisive!
Yes our country needs a lot of prayers

Some of us are on the other side, mourning.
This is truly one of the best responses to the election I’ve seen. I have many friends and family on all sides of the political spectrum. And this is wisdom that we need to share.

This was edifying. I didn't know what to expect when I read the title, but I appreciate that you stayed focus on scripture and reminded us of how we should behave and not behave based on that and not based on opinion. You made very good points and used great scriptures to support your points. Thank you.

You don't care? Did God not appoint us (in a democratic republic society, as voting citizens) to govern through our vote? After all, He is the one who appoints leaders. Elected officials are not the leaders. They are representatives of us, the voter. We are called to lead through voting. We should absolutely care.
Jesus is our leader & King !
Jesus is Lord, and Trump is my president! These are not mutually exclusive statements.
I just finished Judges and this morning, my bible study covered 1 Samuel. In particular Chapter 8 caught my attention.
6
But when they said, "Give us a king to lead us," this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD.
7
And the LORD told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.
8
As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you.
9
Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do."
10
Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who were asking him for a king.
Wow this is what a friend at work said also.
Both the right and the left want a sovereign monarch to rule over us. The right is the new left.
I pray we all place our eyes on Christ and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to help us navigate through the times to come in manner that brings glory to God and God alone.
Thank you for your faithful biblical support. Don't gloat is very wise advice. Gal 5:26...we need to have a heart of gentleness and since we are in the flesh we must cling to the spirit. Good reminder, let's not be used as a tool of satan.

@@lowellervin5729 I was surprised when I heard that churches were giving Harris a platform to speak. There’s no place for that in the church.
Its certainly a false dichotomy, but in a hypothetical of one or the other, Jesus would undeniably be republicans

Actually Jesus was more liberal when it comes to dealing with people, compared to the legalistic practices of the pharisees and Sadducees.
This video says nothing of the other type of Christian that cheered and praised God for the outcome.
I personally vote policies that are closest to what the Bible says about issues
@jamavestergaard6745 which are ?
Well you can’t put ALL US churches in the same category
Most of the churches I attend don't preach politics and stay neutral. I mostly go to multicultural or Black churches that don't allow politicians in the church speaking to the congregation, so I don't have that problem. If they were too political for either side, I'd leave because I believe Christ Followers are to be independent yet still involved in the political process. 😊
Thank you for this video. I’m a young voter who voted differently than most people I know, who are also Christians.
May God guide him. I don't have to like him as a candidate, but I certainly want him to prove me wrong and improve this country.

Amen. I will pray for President Trump and the USA

We voted for the best candidate to lead our country, not a future spouse or pastor of our Church.

Im just glad this election is over. So much division in the body of Christ and so many Christians sliding from righteousness is disheartening. Now I'm just waiting for the trolling to stop cause the gloating started immediately on my social media. 😒
Thank you Allen! Timely, straightforward and scripture based!
Thank you. I really needed to hear this to refocus. ❤
They asked for a king and they got it. 1 Samuel 8
@@BigEasySlots In what way?
He said he’ll be a dictator and if Christians voted this time, they won’t have to do it again. Obviously, they were looking for a king
Amen!
This was a good video. ❤
This is how to respond in general
Thank you Allen for this, we definitely needed to hear this. We need to remember that we serve God, not Trump or Harris. Regardless of how anyone votes, ethnicity, age, or income status, we are called to live by example and love one another as Christ loved us.
White evangelical do not believe this
We did not need this. It’s extremely useless for him to tell us all after this entire election cycle that none of it truly matters. News flash, it does.
One of your best video's, I can only pray that what you have shared makes a difference in the lives of Christians as well as non-Christians.
Thank you for your words of Wisdom. God bless you.
Trust the Lord in all aspects.
Man this is such sound advice to navigate this election year! No matter who you voted for
This doesn't change our mission.
thank you brother for using your platform and influence to share this because it is very tempting to sin after the election results.
Allen, you are such a BLESSING to the Body of Christ. Your gift of a Teacher is so easy to understand. I thank God for your gift.
I want to encourage you to keep teaching truth and don't turn back. I live all the way in the Caribbean and I listen to you often. Be encouraged my Brother in Christ. I love you my brother.
