What a sweet video, as an INFP male I loved hearing this obviously. It is relieving that our body language seems to be picked up on so well, I assume INFJs are better at noticing this stuff than most though. It reminds me of how my Dad (an INFJ) still talks about how he learned to decode my facial expressions and eye movements as I got older, and how he could work out what I was thinking without me talking, which I always thought was like a magical ability (since I'm pretty detached from my own expressions and body language unfortunately, like a lot of INFPs). Thanks so much for this video! Love your channel.

I ran into you years ago when I had my first ever crush on an INFJ woman.
I wanted to find out more about her personality.
I liked her personality (and then you) so much that I got over that crush (she got a boyfriend, someone else) but over you I didn't. You are a wonderful example of an INFJ and every time I want to remember what a healthy and attractive INFJ looks like, I watch one of your videos. Sometimes even 10 seconds is enough to fill me with so much positive energy.
I feel very lucky to have an INFJ friend very similar to you and she is wonderful!

Thank you for making this video, this was so sweet! May I ask if you have thoughts on people who can’t tell if they’re ENFP or INFPs? I tested as an ENFP more in childhood but I test more now as an INFP as an adult, plus I’m a 4w5. Thanks!
Great question. All the functions and technicalities aside, I think one of the best ways to differentiate between INFP/ENFP is to ask yourself where you feel most at home. Are you most at home in your own mind or are you most at home expressing yourself outwardly in the world? I've found that even though ENFPs can have their moments of introversion, they often need to physically interact with the outside world to express themselves fully. INFPs seem to be much more at home in their own quiet thoughts, minds, and ideas. However, if you find yourself a mix of both, that's awesome. They're two great types. Cheers. x

When I was younger I was really shy but I was pushed to be outgoing and I was until early adulthood. So I look a lot more introverted now, but I’ve thought a lot about what you said and I realize that I really do rely on the outside world for both expression and understanding, finding the right space has just taken me more time than I expect. So maybe that just makes me an extra soft ENFP?? 😂
This really helped put my mind at ease though and is directing me back toward the writing I need to be doing, so thank you so much again! I know making content can be really taxing, but for what it’s worth I always feel both grounded and positively motivated after watching your videos!

I’m an INFP and my wife is an ENFP. One of the biggest differences we’ve found comes to how we are creative. For me, creativity is an expression of something, a value or concept or story that I want to share or make tangible. For my wife, creativity is spontaneous. It is often also deep and laden with value, but she doesn’t start a project with that in mind like I do. For her, it’s Ne going toward Fi instead of Fi going toward Ne.
Another way to tell is to look at your weak points (function 7 blind spot and function 4/8 stress responses). These are very different for INFPs and ENFPs.

[INFP] i KNOW what you're talking about!! ive been noticing this about myself lately!
i feel like im doing it partly because i want people to feel comfortable to open up by hearing that someone else (me) shares the same experiences as the other person! like i want them to know that there is someone else who *understands* what they are talking about by sharing my honest, insightful take on it, rather than just giving them the pretending-to-feel-connected-to-you conversation that they are likely used to hearing dozens of times from others.
like i want them to know that im not putting on a mask and pretending to have the same interests or beliefs as them, because if i wasn't genuinely intrigued, they would know it. i know that if the other person has an opinion that is poorly developed or is extreme for me or goes against my core values, then im find myself talking a lot less
@@marzzzuq I guess there's more than one way to make another person heard. I'm Fi too so I use personal experience to say I can relate. If I can't relate I try to imagine myself in their shoes... Fe users are very good at putting the spotlight on you and just you though without them having being it about them, and they give some solid Ti advice which is more logical than feeling. Us Fi users can be sensitive to criticism though. Have a look into Types of Empathy and you'll see the difference between Fi and Fe users!
@@MariaM-qq6kv oh yeah im aware of the differences between Fe and Fi. Fe are more responsive to feelings of others around them. they recognize others' emotions easily, regardless of whether or not those emotions match their own. and like you said, Fi are more likely to draw on personal experience, so when my experiences match with the other person's, it's easy to get me talking anyway. and as you said, Fe users know how to put the spotlight on the other person so most of conversation inevitably ends up being about the other person. i've spent so much studying between INFJ and INFP, it's fascinating!
If only I knew I would.
