Hands down your best vlog of the year! Classic Lizzy, mooching around at home in London. It felt like I was on FaceTime to a dear friend. Please do more vlogs like this xx
Lizzy ! I used to not be the type of person to do small tasks/things quickly and I'd let everything accumulate in clutter until I started following this rule : if it takes less than a minute, do it now, otherwise procrastinate it (a bit). Initially it helped with smaller tasks but now I kind of do every small or medium task asap, just clears up so much headspace in the long run
Loved this video, this combination of showing pieces (from a brand I also love and am so glad they now deliver to where I live) and puttering around is the type of thing I remember about your channel from when I first found it. The cropped length of some of the knitwear is so flattering...I have that cable-knit one and love how it goes with high-waisted pleated trousers. I think for the sequin trousers actually a size up would look really chic and maybe the size bigger would end up a tiny bit longer too (which works well with the flare/boot silhouette). That white suit is so good, I have been mulling it over and it really helps to see the pieces on you. Hope your nesting is restful and restorative. xo
Hi Lizzy, always appreciate your classic laid back style. Like the truth in your persona too. *Just a side note about watering plants in the tub. I would occasionally do that to give them a nice natural rain I only did it maybe once a month or so. My drain started getting really slow within a year and the handyman discovered the dirt had accumulated in the pipes. It slowly had built up. It's like coffee grinds, sand or soil in pipes that cause the same issues of course. It was a small amount but it really built up in the pipe curves. Just thought I'd mention it so you or maybe others reading may be aware. Best to you ❤️
When I tell my friends to shoot a video or me or take my picture what I mean is "take it in the sublime, insightful, visually engaging, carefully curated casualness, with a tad of romantic tones , muted nostalgia and grounded way that Lizzy does her videos"
You should put the sentimental table from the kitchen in front of the bay windows in the dining room and use it as a desk. Then put the bigger table in the kitchen because you have plenty of space in there. Then move the black chairs and coffee table into the front room! You get to keep everything!
It would be so fun if you did an episode with a RUclips interior designer to discuss your two rooms. The idea of a library and a front living room would be great. Your kitchen is certainly large enough for a dining space when you have guests.
It might be time to switch the rooms back but make the dinning room table your desk and push it against the wall and get rid of the dinning chairs. I think the library wall would make a great backdrop for your office and zoom calls 😊. The front room as the fireplace and that begs for a couch to cozy up with a good book and cup of tea. I died laughing when you said you needed a personality transplant 😂. Me too! Happy holidays, can’t wait to see holiday decor.
seems like you don't need the front dining table set up given the dining table options in the kitchen...I love the idea of a double living room with the front room set up with a lovely desk and chairs by the fire with the coffee table and the cozy interior living room having the couch, bookcase, and maybe something smaller to kick your legs up on when on the couch
really enjoyed the vlog, the frame looks lovely, i was waiting to see how it turned out, really excited for the styling video and more house updates! oh i wanted to say also i really like the low wardrobes with the plants on top, it made me think if you lived in a studio this would be a great practical room divider
the perfect vlog, lovely wholesome feeling was achieved :) I also have been feeling extremely personally victimised by the dreadful darkness, but watching this vlog with a cup of tea and candles burning was a good reminder that it's quite cosy too. will have to make my own winter salad later, sounds delicious!
When you said you decided to do one of the most exciting annual jobs I thought you were going to talk about the minced pies. Really liked this video xx
All three outfits are amazing. But I would have wanted to see how the Vince Camuto backless top would have looked like paired with the sequin pants! Either way, you looked chic in all.
Apparently hanging large items above a bed or sofa is bad for ‘Feng Shui’. I think it’s because subconsciously it’s harder to relax when something big could fall on your head.
interior designer advice you didn't ask for 🙃 if your dining table was closer to the kitchen, you might be more inclined to use it. I'm sure it's tough because that middle room doesn't have much natural light so you probably don't want to spend as much time In there. As for your art piece with your dad's things, I like the idea of it being in the kitchen (the hearth of the home) and I like it being closer to you throughout the day since you spend the most time in there! I definitely love the way it looks with your sofa but I understand that if you keep switching your sofa back and forth then you'd had to keep moving the art piece (hassle!). At the end of the day, go with what feels good in your heart, don't worry too much about it making perfect sense! Be sure to share what you decide!!
Oh no no no, Westfield is hell so that was too relatable, as was your inability to put things back in a bag after using them! Endless. Appreciate the cosiness of this vlog and the outfits. Just buy a smaller coffee table and your mum will be happy with your glass one 😆 Until you're ready for the double living room.
If i were to rearrange: sofa in the 1st room ,2 black chairs against 2 large mirrors, coffee table in the middle. Sentimental table in the reading room, chest of drawers on the right corner facing to the front of the house with the lamp next to it . Floating table in the dining area
really related to the chat about struggling to put things away even though they've been bothering for a while. that's quite a typical adhd thing 😀. also really loved this vlog it definitely incorporated the theme of nesting and you managed to make it feel like such a cosy watch. it really didn't feel forced, not saying that your other videos are, but this one really felt like *you* wanted to do it and not because of a job
Hi Lizzy! I’ve been watching your channel for years and you provide a reliable source of humour, comfort and honesty! I was wondering if you’d consider creating a video based around your life as a single 20 something-year-old in London. I’m from Australia and considering living & working in London / UK for a few months next year. Would love to have some insight from you! I hope to be half as cool as you! Thank you in advance - Zoe 🤍
Ohh as a fellow gamer (sometimes occasional sometimes completely addicted) I loved the game talk 😄 Really enjoyed Stray. Had the same thoughts you had at the beginning but then got so hooked. It gets really interesting, challenging and just love the story and world design. How good are those sequin pants?!
what do you think about a new desk, leaning in front of the window and this way you would habe enough room in front of it to make a double sitting room :) you could then do the two chairs facing the second room and the sofa and all would be more open
i would put a desk and reading chair / lounge chair across from you bookcases, and put the coach in the front room facing the fire place. just 1 dining table in the kitchen
Lizzy, I would switch the dining room with the living room. I would add linen tablecloth or napkins or placemats in yellow to match your framed letters. I think it would have a better flow.
lizzy, why dont you put your couch and the coffee table in the kitchen, and take that table with your old self out? You can always do a sitting room in the front area later like you were saying and keep your table in the middle section. Thinking that you can always keep the table against the wall most of the time and when you have guests then you can pull it away from the wall.
Why not get the nostalgic smaller table made into a small desk that will be more practical and put in the front room, then keep the bigger table for the kitchen for entertaining/dining?

A little wire mesh basket for the drain would help!

Thank you for the vlog, Lizzy!!So nice to see some bits of your everyday life back in London. Xx

This is such a great suggestion!
That is such a great idea!
This has been suggested by others a few times and I agree but I think Lizzy mentioned she wishes to keep sentimental table in the kitchen.

You already have gorgeous pieces. Definitely switch the rooms back.
The frame looks lovely, I like how it looks near the sofa and how all the colors pop

Be careful about hanging your collage in direct sunlight as the ink and photographs will fade 💕
Ooh i so wanted to see your pair the sequin pants with the white blazer!!! Great vlog...I love it when you're back home in London. X

Love the sequin pants outfit with the oversized sweater and boots!

I laughed a lot watching this video😂 Love your humour! X
I love your Vlog. This was a great one. Please could I have a link for the sequined trousers please.
You could get some bedside drawers for your bedroom. I shove all the crap in mine and hide the wires behind them. Job done 😆
Ah love those intros, fantastic job of you!!
I enjoy this vlog so much, it's the 3rd time I watch it already. It gives me a very very relaxing feeling. 😊

How good are those sequin pants?!
I think you would LOVE Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin - it's a novel about game development and friendship.
what do you think about a new desk, leaning in front of the window and this way you would habe enough room in front of it to make a double sitting room :) you could then do the two chairs facing the second room and the sofa and all would be more open

Sparkly trousers!!!!!! Why not! 🤷🏻♀️Best vlog ever.... But we're waiting for vlogmas!

loved this video.. you made me laugh out loud about being that girl that tidies as she goes 😭 in the same boat lol
I would switch up the rooms and get rid of that massiv Dining Tablet because you really don't need it.
Love the sequin trousers! Do you have a link??? Xxxx
Loved this vlog! Just a question, was trying to find it in older vlogs, but where do u usually get your bedding from?
Tekla I think
Where are you selling your wardrobe?
Lizzy, I would switch the dining room with the living room. I would add linen tablecloth or napkins or placemats in yellow to match your framed letters. I think it would have a better flow.

lizzy, why dont you put your couch and the coffee table in the kitchen, and take that table with your old self out? Your videos are tremendous ❤
Loved this vlog
Loooved the Vlog! ❤️
Lizzy, I just realized you make me think about Kelly Reilly ! You could dress up as Beth Dutton for Halloween :)
Why not get the nostalgic smaller table made into a small desk that will be more practical and put in the front room, then keep the bigger table for the kitchen for entertaining/dining?

@Caroline Winkler or another interior designer needs to help you with the interior dilemma.
Love it
Why don't you just hire a professional interior designer?
Boring

Yes it is
The kind of boring that I want to rewatch...and watch again
