I'm AWC(AW/NAC) Townsend, USN-Retired, and I approve this message! I'm also happy to report that throughout 20 years of active duty and close to 5,000 hours of flight in the P-3 Orion, I never needed a pickup from a helo. But knowing they would be out there searching for me if I needed them was a comforting thought. Go Navy! Fly Navy! Beat Army!

Im a P3 AW. I gotta give a shout out to them them SAR swimmers. No joke they are badasses. To any SAR stud out there reading this, just remember if you're ever rescuing a downed VP crew, rescue the guy tapping his helmet first. That means he's the AW. Pick him up first. Cheers!

Want to thank the United States 🇺🇸 Navy making this video.
I use to watch the Navy Seal’s all the time running up and down the beach 🏝️ in Coronado California and Silver Strand.
I grew up in the ship 🚢 yard at NASCO watching my Dad in his Crain build Navy ships and take rides all the time😉
Watching the Seals train the dolphins 🐬 and patrol San Diego Bay.
Use to bounce my fishing weight off of the Nuclear ☢️ subs pissing off the Captains😂😂😂😂😂
Kicking me off there piers LOL
Got into a little trouble joy riding in someone else’s sailing ⛵️ boat cruising it across the bay to J street pier in Chula Vista.
Should have joined the Navy and went through Buds.
Instead I joined the Marine Corps
