What I love about this mod is that, unlike in master mode, you never feel like you’re wasting your weapons, since you’ll just be getting back more ancient gear to replace it. Meanwhile in master mode, enemies have too much health and the weapons aren’t worth it in the slightest... Very good job on the mod devs.
Really? I always found Master mode to be the best for me, it made me be more careful and taught me to be more creative, like learning how to sneak strike chain and find other ways to kill enemies.
@@crutonman1547 yeah, that is true, but it’s generally better to just avoid combat altogether since the weapons you’ll get are not worth the 3-4 good weapons you wasted on killing the enemy. Also I once had waterblight teleport 3 times in a row and use his invincibility to heal a lot, so that was really not thought out
@Thim Paul I get what you mean but it always feels like you’ll give up more weapons than you’ll gain. Also what other ways? Bombs take too long and they regen, stasis takes to long and they regen... only thing I could think of is magnesis or knocking them into the water, but standing there for like 2 minutes whittling down a gold moblin with a box sounds boring as hell
@Thim Paul I think it’s definitely a difference in play style and where the challenge is-managing items and choosing when to go into a fight is a different type of play style than wanting more engaging and difficult combat. The former is centered on the exploration/open world aspect of the game, while the latter is specifically combat oriented. It’s like the difference between a Pokémon game’s storyline gameplay vs the battle tower/battle subway/etc gameplay

As someone who has spent over 40 hours total on only practicing my parry against guardians and being successful only once against a stationary guardian, this mod is absolutely terrifying to me.
The onion part. How did you, eat it so well??? I literally tried to take a couple bites out of one for a performance art piece and it was horrifying! My eyes were stinging and I only got a couple bites in before I had to call it and move on to biting an orange with the peel still on (which is far worse than biting an onion btw). Please give me your onion secrets. I need them for my Art.
I think it’s really cool that the new yiga clan member acts like the blade masters inside the hide out, a one shot every time. And mipha’s grace can’t save you
There's also a mod called Nightmare Mode, it's modular so you can only apply it to what you want but I have the player & lynel parts in my save, it's fun. The player part basically makes timings tighter, but makes the flurry rush more consistent. It also only lets you have 1 charge of the Champion abilities, but they recharge a little faster. Your shield also doesn't guard as much, the angle is smaller so it doesn't block side attacks. To balance out this stuff, you have poise, you get up faster, and you regen half a heart every 30 seconds (there's a version without that if you think it's OP). Large weapons also swing faster, but spin slower. Basically, the player side of the mod is a rebalance to make the game move faster, and a little more difficult. The Lynel part basically makes their attacks stupid fast, like, the charge attack happens in a few frames. There's less delay between their attacks, including the fireball, meaning I'm pretty sure you can't just run to the side to dodge the fireballs anymore. I mean, I've tried dodging them every way I could, but it's tough lol, pretty sure you have to parry them. To compensate for how ridiculous they are though, the creator brought down their health by 1000, 1500 for golds. So I guess overall, it's less of a "nightmare mode", and more just a reworking mod.

Bro, I remember when my dad was cutting onions, and let me tell you... It was the most stinkiest onion of all fricken time. once he cut the onion Open, I’m not joking. The whole house AND I mean the WHOLE house was Intoxicated by that ONE onion, the smell even made its way upstairs and While I was in my bedroom making videos, I couldn’t breath, eventually The smell was SO TENSE that I litterally left my room and went outside to breath Fresh air. Which is pretty much impossible for someone like me. eventually I came back up, blocked the vents, locked the door, opened the windows, And turned on the fan all the way TO HIGH. When I first watched the other video I thought the mod was going to turn bokoblins and moblins and other enemies into half monster and half guardian hybrids, so like a lynel instead of it breathing fire it shoots guardian beams and one of it's arms is a ancient bladesaw.
I think that bit in 9:25 is really funny in a scary way because despite the amount of guardian beams going off, Link isn't even taking any damage because he keeps getting knocked around before getting a chance to get back up...
I was Literally playing RELICS when you released this video. Its so insane... Even getting the phantom armor is next to impossible. Majora's mask is guarded by 3 Guardians.
I started a fresh Master mode but turned on unlimited arrows and turned off durability. Its hard enough to have to farm for arrows, I just don't abuse it by using ancient Arrows on everything that wouldn't be fun.
Oh so you played Relics of the Past? Now play it with Permadeath, No repeat weapons, No Master Sword, All Divine Beasts, Master Mode, No Pants except for Gerudo Town, No sneaking past Yiga Guards, you have to fight all of them, and No Majora's Mask.
7:20 the sky watchers are technically a flying turret guardian so they have multishot constantly. this mod just makes it shoot more than the normal 3-5 times (at least from my knowledge)

I think that bit in 9:25 is really funny in a scary way because despite the amount of guardian beams going off, Link isn't even taking any damage because he keeps getting knocked around before getting a chance to get back up...

I started a fresh Master mode but turned on unlimited arrows and turned off durability. Its hard enough to have to farm for arrows, I just don't abuse it by using ancient Arrows on everything that wouldn't be fun.

Now play it with Permadeath, No repeat weapons, No Master Sword, All Divine Beasts, Master Mode, No Pants except for Gerudo Town, No sneaking past Yiga Guards, you have to fight all of them, and No Majora's Mask.

Im pretty sure you can get motion controls in botw but im not completely sure bout dat
If you played this on console and not an emulator then you could have motion controls
You can get motion controls in cemu. I don't know if all gamepads are supported, but dualshock 4 works fine

7:20 the sky watchers are technically a flying turret guardian so they have multishot constantly. this mod just makes it shoot more than the normal 3-5 times
(at least from my knowledge)
When you’re fighting multiple guardians at once, even in normal game, once you’re down *you are not getting back up.*
