Honestly Its not challenging if you have equally op gear being just given to you.
Silent Cricket Gaming it seems like it wouldn't change difficulty if everyone just has higher damage stuff, but since the health of Link & the enemies hasn't been changed it means that every hit you take could be deadly, and every hit on an enemy counts a lot more.

You’d think with all his experience playing BotW, Eric would know that a dead Guardian with one or more legs will never activate. The only dark-legged Guardians that ever activate are the two in the Lomei Labyrinth Island basement and a few in Castle Town.

There’s one near wasteland tower
Honestly, my favorite thing about this video is the endless cycle of "This is way too good for this area, must be something really hard nearby", followed by general dread/suspicion of everything, followed by encountering something deadly and probably dying to it, followed (eventually) by "YES WE DID IT!", immediately followed by either a really good reward that initiates the Looming Dread phase again, or "OH NO" as the Something Deadly phase escalates and repeats.
It's just hilarious to me that every time it looks like the mod has finally stopped getting deadlier, it finds something new to throw at you.

I like to think this is what it was like 50 years after link went too sleep and things slowly fell apart and decayed so in the original some of it is gone. And the monsters moved around or decided some things weren’t worth protecting so much.
The fact that he doesn't really bother keeping his health up gives me great anxiety.

I really like this mod because it gives you the weapons you need to take down the higher level enemies, instead of, like master mode, just increasing the enemies difficulty
Then there will be no benefit of making master mode if there will be no difference between normal mode and master mode.
I mean they should have upgraded the weapons in master mode because, at the beginning of the game it is really hard to take down enemies and even if you can you will have used up all your weapons durability.

that mode is master mode because it is for those who can beat normal mode easily, and want to take a challenge for themselves to beat a harder version of normal mode.
Also, the super shield surfing gives Link quite a bit more mobility and allows pretty unorthodox strategies for playing the game. And using Unorthodox strategies for playing the game is kinda the definition of a great game.
Personally, I don't think this mod is much better than the original game, but I'm really glad it exists alongside it.

Barbarian or Phantom armor (full set) increases damage by 50%.
110 + (110 x .50) = 165.
Spinning attacks double damage (stated early on, don't remember when).
165 x 2 = 330.
If he used a spin attack with the Bladesaw and Barbarian/Phantom armor equipped, he would do 330 damage *per hit*.

It's lovely and endearing but honestly, if my eyes are away from the screen for a minute I'm like "why is he not talking? Oh because he died 🤣" but anyway...
