Celesteela is indeed based on "Kaguya-hime no monogatari" who is ACTUALLY unveiled that is part of the Moon kingdom and Moon people, parting the day before her wedding in a GIANT FLYING BOAT to the satellite. That is the origin of Celesteela rocket desing and the spacecraft japanese nickname.
I love that two of my favorite video game series (Pokemon and Touhou Project) have characters that are based on the same thing. Celesteela/Kaguya isn't even the only example.
7:47 Also there was a sign in the wreckage with some letters missing but if you look closely you can see it is the same sign as the Hau oli city hall sign.
It really bugs me that so many ultra beasts have the exact same Pokédex entries. I could infer that it’s a common organism in the world it normally lives. I want to know more about what they can do! (Yes, I’m aware that Rotom is just saying what he can because they’re newly discovered, but at least sun and moon included witness reports.)
It would've been neat if the shared entries in one game were for the Ultra Beasts that were exclusive to the opposite game, like "we don't know enough about this one to say anything unique because you can't meet it here", but it doesn't seem like that's the case.
Not saying I want to know how many metric tons of concrete Buzzwole can bench press, but “somebody said they saw it pulverize a dump truck in one punch” is better than “its common where it lives. Here it’s alien.”
guzzlord does live in a parralel world, that was what was showed in 2 episodes of the sun and moon anime. with zeroara vs guzzlord. but guzzlord was send back to it's original world at the end, so my guess is that that is exactly was the game lets us see. a parralel world that's been invaded by guzzlord, guzzlord beiing on melemele island, demolishing haoli city
The ultra beasts aren't really dangerous, with the exception of Guzzlord. It is surprising that they are able to live more than 10 minutes in the pokemon world.
spoiler about the anime and the ultra ruins: it was introduced in the anime in japan that parallel universes exist. i forgot the episode number but yes
As a lot of people have already mentioned, the anime's already confirmed the Ultra Ruin thing, as in the two-part Zerarora saga Ash gets sent to the world Guzzlord is ruining and he visits a ruined Trainer's School, where he realizes he's in a parallel version of his own world. But the anime also had an episode focusing on Celesteela where its lore is essentially the tale of the bamboo cutter but with Celesteela being found instead of Princess Kaguya, and it ends with Celesteela flying back to its home on the moon. And while in the dub it's referred to as "The Celestial Starship", the original Japanese names it "Starship Kaguya". Neat!
Nilego=Mercury Pheromosa=Venus Buzzwhole=Mars Xurketree=Jupiter Kartana=Saturn Celesteela=Uranus Guzzlord=Neptune Necrozma=Pluto Solgaleo=Sun Lunala=Moon Zygarde=Earth But that's just a theory

Also we all know that Pheromosa is Lusamine ;)
SPARTAcross29 I have a theory of how the ultra beast are made. I think that Necrozma used the power of fusion to make these beast. For example, Buzzwole is a combination of ledyba, Gladion, some sort of fighting type, and Cutiefly. UC stands for ultra chimera, which further proves my point.
Pierroteknik will ALWAYS be the coolest pokemon name to me. I love that I can understand the pun of it even if English is my first language, and it just plain out sounds awesome.
I have a theory with basically nothing to support it which is that what if somehow Guzzlord in some way is the Zygarde equivalent of the universe the Ultra Beasts come from? I came up with it while watching the video.
Honestly, I can completely and totally agree. Like what Pikmints said, one wants to destroy and the other wants to protect. They're both black with a bright accent color, really angular, and look totally evil. You also can't really tell that they're an actual organism at first glance. That's in my opinion at least XD
A prime power is just a number that equals to a prime number multiplied by itself a number of times (ex : 32 = 2*2*2*2*2 is a prime power, 121 = 11*11 is one too, but 6 = 2*3 isn't)
Xurkitree is called Eclair in French because Eclair is literally the French word for "Lightning" or "Flash". I think the move "Flash" is even called "Eclair" in French. The Pastry is called Eclair because it's meant to be eaten very quickly, "in a flash".
8:02 Actually, it was confirmed in SM100 and SM101, and it’s even been stated on Bulbapedia’s article regarding the Ultra Ruin. Just to point that out, sorry. EDIT: Also, does anyone know how the crew that created the cries made that “unique sound effect” mentioned at about 2:00? It sounds like a cross between a whoosh noise and a light grinding. Necrozma also have prime number base stats and move learning levels. However, It does have two exceptions: It learns Photon Geyser at lv 50 and has a base speed of 129 as ultra Necrozma. Everything else is 1 or a prime number
Allow me to explain the significations of Xurkitree and Kartana's name in French... "Eclair" can be a pastry, but most of the time, it simply means "lightning" And "Lame" is french for "blade". That's it ! Nice video, though :)
I wanted to mention that the Japanese space craft is named Selene, and Selene is the default name of the girl protagonist in Sun, Moon, and USUM. Maybe there's a correlation? Or it's just a common name idk. I also wanted to mention that, in USUM, some things happen separately from the originals. The Ultra Recon, more UBs, changed canon, etc. Perhaps the Hau'oli City that Guzzlord is tearing up is the Hau'oli city from the originals, and in the Ultra games you encounter Guzzlord in that version of Hau'oli. I would have greatly enjoyed if the UBs were further expanded and detailed. They're new Pokemon that completely alter timelines and are clearly capable and destructive, the entire plot of the games is centered around them, and we just allow an 11 year old kid to catch them and shrug them off -and let them get a sweet 1M reward for it- ?Come on, there's so much to learn about their habitat and behavior. I'm pretty sure that Let's Go is likely the end of generation 7 so I don't believe the UBs will receive any further information excluding the anime, which is just a wasted opportunity. One of my favorite additions in Pokemon as a whole and it's tossed to the side like a bowl of old rice. What a shame. Really enjoyed your video, looking forward to seeing more content!
I think princess Kaguya from the tale was from the moon and was exiled for her crimes/ran from a war on the moon, depending on what version of the tale you are looking at. Later in the story she returns to space, possibly explaining Celesteela and the name of the satellite.
The one major aspect you forgot to mention about the Tale of The Bamboo Cutter's Kaguya is, that in the tale, she is actually the princess of the Moon. That's why the spacecraft's name aswell, since Kaguya herself is extraterrestrial in that tale.

Celesteela's origin as you said it was based on was confirmed and (Different vid but) the Battle Subway Bosses you love were in the B&W anime, miss able in game but not if one watches the anime in full :) And lastly (Back to this vid) Guzzlord's world IS Hau'oli city (Am sure I mispellt it) as if the player takes the time to examine everything they get tiny bits of info on that world, further more if they go back and talk to the person (Might require exiting the world after catching Guzzlord and going back to it's world) the player character can get extar info on the stuff they examined in the world from the person at the warp point. When doing so these all add up to its that very city indeed.I forget if the hints tell you when/where but, its possible it could be an alternate dimension or a point in the future.
I am expecting a Pokemon based on Pegasus the typing should be like flying and fairy type and it's on my own opinion but I'll love if this Pokemon comes in the future game. I wish gamefreak add it
Celesteela has balanced stats while Kartana has unbalanced stats where its physical side is very good but horrible in special side, and both are counterparts of each !! Is this a coincidence or something that comes with being counterparts?
This is just a tangent comment based off the Ultra Beasts. I've always thought that the UBs were too "mature" or scary, for a game marketed mainly to children.
This has been bugging me for quite some time. Since this video talks about ultra beasts and parallelism between two worlds pokemon's and ultra's. I'll be saying this wither or not this is a theory or not. Think about Kyurem and Necrozma because they can fuse with two of the main legendary Pokemon from the first versions at the later versions that revolves around these to Pokemon. Also Necrozma in theory that it may have created some sort of energy source at respective alters that is designed to evolve cosmeom into Solgaleo or Lunala. Which during the chain reaction of being fractured from ultra Necrozma to Necrozma as some sort of injured/fractured or hollow shell with the light that been released from Necrozma may be Z-Rings. While Kyruem splits itself into reshiam and zekrom rendering it as hollow shell. Also both Kyurem and Necrozma are capable of fusing with them yet Necrozma hasn't completely become it's full self. Since that you are required to have the ultranecrozmium Z-Crystal. See what I'm going here.
When I see Xurkitree I think of Guzma , when I see Nilegho I think of Lillie,When I see pheromosia I think of Luismine, IDK WHY THEY JUST LOOK KINDA THE SAME
"tale of the BAMBOO CUTTER" celesteela is CLEARLY the bamboo and kartana could be the cutter part of the title and also they come from different games COINCIDENCE I THINK NOT!

Bro hoops (no offense) but your like way over a year late on these theories about the ultra beast from Sun and moon and ultra sun ultra moon games lol .But still at least the 2 new things i heard you talk about is how its impossible to get poipole and Ningalagale in beat balls since you only receive it's pre-evolution poipole from one of the Ultra Recon squad members ,(which btw didn't shiny soft reset for it in ultra moon but i did for ultra sun) Oh and how Xurkitree was based off of a pastry thats new to me .LOL but i have heard about other big poketuber channels talk about the reversal of the Hao'oli city theme is played in reverse in Guzzlord's ultra space area where you catch him .Btw took damn near 8,000 soft resets for me to get that thing in it's shiny form ugh i had so many days and nights last year leaving my 3ds on for almost a month for getting that thing.And if your still reading hoops broski I didn't get ultra sun and ultra moon together like i did in late 2017 when the games first released since i had extra bills irl i had to pay irl but since early this year (since i m way late in completing the after story of ultra sun since january 6th of this month up to now as im posting this comment im at 8,330 soft resets for UB-Burst aka Blachephalon)
1. Team Treble's name is a pun on Treble clef and Trouble 2. Team Treble is based on Hoops' passion for music 3. Team Treble's uniform is based on rock band clothing 4. Most of Team Treble's Pokémon are weak to fighting attacks, this is because in Pokémon, most sound based Pokémon are categorized as Normal type since there is no Sound type Clef Changer facts: 5. With the introduction of Clef Changers, this is the only time when a dual type Pokémon's order of types matter 6. During the final battle, all of Hoops' Pokémon with a type change are weak to ground moves 7. Because of the clef changer, it can create several Pokémon with no weakness, which are any single typed Pokémon with Levitate holding an electric clef changer, and Marill and Azurmarill with Sap Sipper holding a ground clef changer. 8. If a dual type Pokémon holds a clef changer of the same type as its primary type, it would have no effect whatsoever (Hoops please confirm this) 9. Clef changer, like Z crystals and Megastones, cannot be removed whatsoever during a battle. Prior to knowing about the clef changer, Frisk will not activate if the opponent has a clef changer (Confirmation needed) 10. With Clef changers, all type combinations are now possible And that's 10 facts about team Treble which definitely didn't came from the top of my head
@@monkeyseatsbananas3695 Mythicals are pretty much a subset of legendarys. They are all legendarys but not all legendarys are mythicals. Ultra beasts are just their own little catagory.

Other Pokémon with green background are Type Null, Silvally, and the Tapus, which are all legendary Bulbapedia categorized them as Legendary They have stat totals of 570, which rivals the Birds trio, beasts trio, golem trio, lake trio and swords of Justice trio and the Tapu Quartet Points against: In USUM, you now can get an unlimited amount of them in one save file They are common creatures in their dimension, which contradicts the meaning of a Legendary Pokémon Bulbapedia no longer categorize them as Legendary, I have no idea when this was changed Based on the sheer number of Ultra Beasts introduced, it's unlikely that they are intended to be legendary

To Be More Exact:
Nihilego = Envy
Buzzwole = Wrath
Pheromosa = Lust
Xurkitree = Greed
Celesteela = Sloth
Kartana = Pride
Guzzlord = Gluttony
No, buzzswole is pride. Showing off it's muscles is literally it's language. Kartana is wrath.
I always saw Buzzwole as pride. When it is knocked out, it flexes its muscles.

Isn't a Prime Power simply a prime number times itself (can be by the power of 2, 3, ect.)? I mean, 121 in this case is 11^2.
Do people know that Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala and Necrozma are Legendary Pokémon AND Ultra Beasts?
Edit: you also forgot Stakataka and Blacephalon...
Yeah, 11*11 is too mathematical for me too
It is nag a needle not a Nagana del .
Bro hoops (no offense) but your like way over a year late on these theories about the ultra beast from Sun and moon and ultra sun ultra moon games lol .But still at least the 2 new things i heard you talk about is how its impossible to get poipole and Ningalagale in beat balls since you only receive it's pre-evolution poipole from one of the Ultra Recon squad members ,(which btw didn't shiny soft reset for it in ultra moon but i did for ultra sun) Oh and how Xurkitree was based off of a pastry thats new to me .LOL but i have heard about other big poketuber channels talk about the reversal of the Hao'oli city theme is played in reverse in Guzzlord's ultra space area where you catch him .Btw took damn near 8,000 soft resets for me to get that thing in it's shiny form ugh i had so many days and nights last year leaving my 3ds on for almost a month for getting that thing.And if your still reading hoops broski I didn't get ultra sun and ultra moon together like i did in late 2017 when the games first released since i had extra bills irl i had to pay irl but since early this year (since i m way late in completing the after story of ultra sun since january 6th of this month up to now as im posting this comment im at 8,330 soft resets for UB-Burst aka Blachephalon)
guzlord is crazy 😂😂
actuly you are wrong aboyut eclaire being a pastry eclaire can also mean lightning which is defenitivly more suitting

Could you give us, “10 Odd Facts about Team Treble”?
#TrebleMaker4life!
?
1. Team Treble's name is a pun on Treble clef and Trouble
2. Team Treble is based on Hoops' passion for music
3. Team Treble's uniform is based on rock band clothing
4. Most of Team Treble's Pokémon are weak to fighting attacks, this is because in Pokémon, most sound based Pokémon are categorized as Normal type since there is no Sound type
Clef Changer facts:
5. With the introduction of Clef Changers, this is the only time when a dual type Pokémon's order of types matter
6. During the final battle, all of Hoops' Pokémon with a type change are weak to ground moves
7. Because of the clef changer, it can create several Pokémon with no weakness, which are any single typed Pokémon with Levitate holding an electric clef changer, and Marill and Azurmarill with Sap Sipper holding a ground clef changer.
8. If a dual type Pokémon holds a clef changer of the same type as its primary type, it would have no effect whatsoever (Hoops please confirm this)
9. Clef changer, like Z crystals and Megastones, cannot be removed whatsoever during a battle. Prior to knowing about the clef changer, Frisk will not activate if the opponent has a clef changer (Confirmation needed)
10. With Clef changers, all type combinations are now possible
And that's 10 facts about team Treble which definitely didn't came from the top of my head
Alright let's start a conversation. Are Ultra Beast legendary or a separate category? I say legendary
Is there any legend about them?
Separate category. They aren't dangerous to the pokemon world anyway.
I mean, Mythical Pokémon are in the Legendary category. But in the group Legendary, not actually being Legendary.
@@monkeyseatsbananas3695 Mythicals are pretty much a subset of legendarys. They are all legendarys but not all legendarys are mythicals. Ultra beasts are just their own little catagory.
Points for:
They are static encounters. You also can't get an unlimited number of them in one Sun and Moon save file
They have a green background in Rotom dex, which signifies that they are OU tier legendaries. Other Pokémon with green background are Type Null, Silvally, and the Tapus, which are all legendary
Bulbapedia categorized them as Legendary
They have stat totals of 570, which rivals the Birds trio, beasts trio, golem trio, lake trio and swords of Justice trio and the Tapu Quartet
Points against:
In USUM, you now can get an unlimited amount of them in one save file
They are common creatures in their dimension, which contradicts the meaning of a Legendary Pokémon
Bulbapedia no longer categorize them as Legendary, I have no idea when this was changed
Based on the sheer number of Ultra Beasts introduced, it's unlikely that they are intended to be legendary
