Our children were in college when ‘Buffy’ was on and they just couldn’t believe how much I really liked the series. Sarah is so very talented. The cast had wonderful chemistry and James Marsters as Spike was superb. It’s still one of my very favorite TV series. Of course, Giles (Anthony Stewart Head was my favorite male character (I’ve liked him since he did those coffee commercials) and also really like his singing voice too.
I grew up watching shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Charmed and many many more in the Scifi/ Fantasy/ Horror generas and I adored every episode. The fact that Sarah impacted so many lives with her dedication, is beyond anything I can thank her for. I think people admire Sarah because she committed to her character's journey through ***so many*** REAL LIFE topics that were not tackled or shown/advocated (on screen at the time). Thank you Sarah, and to all of Buffy's cast and crew. 💖 👑
I love that she mentioned her hair. Buffs hair was literally a character of its own on the show. Haha God she's so iconic and paved the way for so many female stars (cough cough JLaw)
That makes me so happy to Sarah here. She was my childhood and is an inspiration for many people. I hope she'll get more roles in the future. We missed her.
It's so, so good to see her on TV again and doing well. I was only 6 when Buffy aired, and every single morning before school from 2nd grade to 9th, I'd wake up at 5a.m. to watch reruns while I ate breakfast and got ready. Buffy/SMG really helped shape who I became as a person. I was that weird, shy, horror-loving little girl, and having a female main character that was THE badass of the show yet still had warmth and compassion made me feel like I could be a badass too. She was the hero, not the helpless. That exposure at such a tender, impressionable age was everything, and NO ONE else could have played that role as perfectly and with such complexity.
I don't care how long ago the show was, she would still be amazing as Buffy today in a spin off movie or mini series 😍the STANS would go crazy! A girl can dream 🥰
I love Sarah Michelle Gellar, her work on Buffy was iconic,I was in highschool at the time,so Alot of Us connected with the characters and the story's. Gawd she could still play Buffy Now
I've been watching every season of Buffy TVS in order the past 6 months. On my next go round, currently season 3 episode 3 Faith has come to town! I have a picture with a cardboard cut out of Buffy from Disneyworld from 20 years ago. The show is absolutely incredible, even as I almost turn 50. And Graham Norton show is the only show of it's kind I watch. Love Buffy, Love Graham, Love Sarah, love love love.
@TheJason I always counted it 3 times (although they say twice) because she gets drowned again when she's in the tunnel with Faith fighting off vamps. She's dead for a good 30 seconds to a minute, and *SOMEHOW* she comes back to life, and she says, "I hate it when they drown me." Til this day, I don't know *WHY* that was never addressed. But I personally count that as her 2nd time dying and her season 5 death is the 3rd time. BUT in this instance she may be also thinking about season 3's The Wish. And her neck gets snapped by the Master. So with all that said, *TECHNICALLY* she did die "many times" even if the show only said "twice".
Haha, but I don't think she actually died there. Since there was no reanimation. I assume she just played dead so the vampire would let go. The line is just funny that way. But you're certainly right about The Wish. Sarah would count that one, even if Buffy wouldn't.
@@blackdogbrown She flatlined at the end of season six, too. After Dark Willow enters the operating room, we hear the equipment flatline after the doctors clear out, so she died at least 3 times and as many as 6 if we count these times, too!
Fantastic to see Sarah Michelle Gellar make her comeback. Loved her performance as Both Buffy in Buffy the vampire slayer and Daphne in the live action version of Scooby Doo.
I'm watching Buffy for the very first time right now, with my husband. Neither of us have seen it. Sarah and Freddie were my absolute favorite actors when I was a kid, because of The Scooby Doo movie. I was so obsessed. And I lost my mind when I found out they were married in real life!
