This is the problem with being sports entertainment, when you want the boys to be pro wrestling? Vince wants to be a entertainment company yet still runs it like the carnival days
Before I defended JBL due to people, myself included at one time, NOT being able to tell when he was 'working' and when he was being serious. That was BEFORE I found out about what has happened with Mauro Ranallo. WWE likes to tout that they are a publicly traded company, using that as clout when it suits their agendas - as a publicly traded company, I wonder how their investors like the idea of them covering up for an employee that Vince McMahon likes over the harassment of someone with a mental health issue, which is a MEDICAL ISSUE, not a character flaw or a sign of weakness? Harassment that has lead to a man giving up a 6 figure yearly salary rather than endure the evidently on-going abuse he's been receiving, not to mention any very real health repercussions which may have resulted or might in the future... Instead of bitching on Twitter or RUclips comments, supporters of Mauro Ranallo need to notify THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA/PRESS and even more importantly, THE SPONSORS, about WWE's attempt to sweep this under the rug!
I spit out my coffee in laughter when Jim said Joey styles punched Bradshaw in the face and you hear Brian last say "knocked him out". 🤣🤣🤣🤣 His tone sounded so satisfied to say that. I can't stand JBL.
Different schools of thought between Cornette and Brian Last. Fair. I was bullied and it took time to get over it, and then I became friends with the "bullies", and it wasn't Stockholm Syndrome either. Then the "bullies" caught someone speaking ill of me, and they were ready to take the tools to them.
What if standing up might cost you your job? What if the company encourages the bully and provides him that atmosphere? What if the bully got knocked out like a bitch but just moved on to a new person? How about we don't have any bullies in a company who backs an anti bully campaign? How about we realize it's fucking 2018
When i was in school this one guy bullied me for months and one day i punched him out. I got mad respect from everybody at school and the bully was afraid of me for years after. So it does pay to stand up. You gotta stand up and fight doesnt't matter what year we are living in.
Brian seems to be taking it more seriously than Jim ... Jim's idea of sorting it is to assault the bully with an iron bar or threaten to ... that's good and well for a lot of people, but a lot of bully victim's it's not in their nature to even make a threat like that, that sort of confrontation they aren't capable of and a lot of the bullies know this - hence why they do what they do.
Jimmy - "Just commit a felony! If someone is being a bully just assault them at work." Brian - "So when Dynamite did it..." Jimmy - "OH THAT WAS WAY OVER THE LINE! SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE STOPPED THAT!"
Alice leaving is the best thing to happen to Jim Cornettes podcast and his partnership with Brian is why he's so successful at this. They are perfect together. Complete opposite of Alice
Anybody who thinks that this doesn't happen in the real world is living in a pretty sheltered world. Where anyone has power over anyone else there is always going to be things like this happening
JBL is a POS. Further, any company that publicizes itself as being anti-bullying should keep to that. Brian right. Ribbing is one thing. Bullying and making it your mission to make people are unacceptable and how the WWE didn't get into deep $#!+ after they didn't fire JBL for months after his bullying someone afflicted with bi-polar is shocking to me. And Jim's right: How it went as far as it did without the the WWE stepping in is also a big question. Plus, as the WWE showed with Del Rio slapping that idiot who made the off color comment to him, there's a problem with taking matters into your own hands.
I think it's pretty simple. JBL is a well documented bully. Steve Blackmon whooped his ass for it. Joey Styles knocked him tf out for it. The shit with Blue Meanie is literally on tape. Now the stuff with this guy, i don't know how to spell his name. Jim is having a hard time understanding that his friend is an asshole. Edit* how about JBL not being an asshole
JBL is the kind of guy that would get other guys to do horrible shit for him, like the time he said “Wouldnt it be funny if someone broke off toothpicks in the locks of his rental car?” Can’t remember what guys he got to do that and to whom...
that "old school" excuse only works when it goes both ways. in the real old school the promoter wouldnt protect a bully from a receipt just cause he was a stooge. and that appears to be the situation in the wwe. i have a feeling that jbl's behavior has been brought to the attention of the front office more than once, but jbl's relationship with vince killed any complaint or corrective action. and brian is right, hawk/bradshaw/jbl came up in the 90s, when there were only two promotions in the US. there is nothing old school about his experience. i could never imagine lance russell treating anyone this way, much less dave brown.
given when Joey put JBL flat on his ass he didn't face any repercussions it seems the WWE still allows you handle this like a man when reason and logic fail tell him once stop of I am gonna hit you if he doesn't listen follow through either with a weapon or your bare hands at that point the bully usually stops.
I'm totally with Brian here. JBL is a punk who thinks he's a tough guy. He was a mid card tag wrestler who got a world title run because they had a lack of options at the time and glass jaw Leftfield kissed the right ass. If a legit tough guy like Harley Race or Orndorff or Haku had got in this idiots face he would have wet his pants I'm a huge cornette fan but he often excuses people's bad behaviour because they're friends of his. I've heard him defend someone he likes for doing the same crap that someone he doesn't like does
Somebody tell Jim Cornette that it's not 30 fucking years ago. It's called being a PROFESSIONAL, and maybe tell him, that JBL probably never fucked with him because he knew Corny would have fired back if it bothered him. Because as we all know, bullies don't screw with people who aren't soft targets. If anyone is not an easy mark, it's Jim Cornette.
JBL may or may not be a bully, but I 100% agree with Cornette on this. If you are going to quit, or feel you have nothing to lose, hurt the son of a bitch on the way out.
"I can only judge people by how they treat me and my friends, and, you, I've never had a crossed word with Bradshaw." - Meanwhile, Cornette now hates Glen Jacobs, one of the nicest people in wrestling, because he's a republican. Bit hypocritical.
I’m surprised they didn’t talk about him beating the piss out of The Blue Meanie. After what JBL did to the Blue Meanie, WWE should have done something. Meanie must have been nice not to fuck him up after that, because as soon as I got up from the surprise attack. It’d JBLs ass.
If you are creative with your revenge ribs or stand up for yourself it will help you. I remember replacing a bully’s license plate with an old one and eventually he got pulled over and arrested for weed. To this day I laugh about it.
My question is this .Where are is Vince and other managment when JBL or others are constantly bullying? Triple H should be stepping in and saying to the repeat offender ,"cut that shit out or lose your job". I am sure JBL would think twice if HHH looked him straight in the eye, JBL wouldn`t talk back, He sure wouldn`t try to menace HHH .
Bruce flashback Nowhere to be found. It's rumored that JBL won't be punished at all for this recent incident. Like Justin Roberts said, Vince pretty much allows this to happen all the time.
Like most things the issue between JBL and Renallo was overblown by the self-righteous casually offended fanboys online. Celebrity Gossip is a favorite thing with so many, especially wrestling fanboys who like to think they got all the secret juicy stuff backstage and that the greats are all total scumbags in real life, and Brian Last is in that group too, he may know a lot about wrestling history but he's never worked with the WWE or any promotion that I know of or even met Leyfield, mostly right here he's going by what he's heard from other people who heard it from other people. Renallo's issue with JBL was a minor issue blown way out of proportion in the online gossip pool, and Renallo hadn't taken time off because of Bradshaw, he took time off because his bipolar issues needed attending to. And no, Joey Styles did not knock out Bradshaw with one punch, that's just ridiculous on the face of it. Was Leyfield a saint? No, but he wasn't a monster either
I like Jim but WTF is he talking about here? He has no argument other then grabbing a baseball bat or running a guy over, he just doesn't get it. Mauro is a professional and you don't solve issues like this in the workplace with violence especially if you're not a violent guy which Mauro doesn't seem to be. A company this huge and as corporate as its become should not be run on prison yard rules backstage its a joke! It's not the 70's anymore
There's a video where JBL is making fun of Mauro telling that he tweets a lot and making fun of his "Mama Mia". Sounds like nonsense hatred to the poor dude.
Oh for Christs sake, he was playing "heel announcer" on a television show. Since when is that "bullying". You know that professional wrestling has good guys ("babyfaces") and bad guys ("heels"), and that the bad guys make fun of the good guys, right? Every heel announcer makes fun of the babyface announcers they work with. Listen to Corey Graves on RAW for fucks sake. He does it every week. They're actors playing roles on a television show. Wrestling isn't real. Do I really have to explain this to you? Mauro should have shot back if it hurt his sensitive feelings. I'm sure JBL would respect him a lot more if he stood up for himself. I know Vince McMahon would respect Mauro a lot more if he stood up for himself, because it's well known that Vince likes people who stand up for themself.
ccmanize Mauro was punked by Mirko Cro Cop in an interview a long time ago and there's a real sad moment when he told his crew "no one stood up for me". I know is easy to say to him to have balls but he can't take that stand because depression is so, so ruthless when you don't have control over things. I don't think JBL or WWE are wrong in making fun of him because he can't live in a bubble, but when someone does not understand a mental sickness it can turn ugly.
And the Problem is??? Mauro is tweeting half the show (what's highly unprofessional) can't get Matchtypes right (Hell in a Cell/ Elimination Chamber) and the Mamma Mia is just the most annoying thing ever.
I think the real issue is the massive hypocrisy - they run those Be A Star ads constantly. It's not about ON-SCREEN dynamics between faces and heels, it's about backstage, real world, outside of the "WWE Universe" incidents. This is not performance, it's hypocrisy on a massive scale - "Hey kids, don't be bullies, but some of our top employees got where they are by bullying their way up the ladder!"
Meanwhile JBL made more money from JUST wrestling (nevermind the $ he actually made in the stocks- that part was real marks) than Brian Last has or will ever make about talking about it 😂
What wrestlers took baseball bats to each other? Id love to hear those stories. Cornette kinda makes me think sometimes that incidents similar to the Bruiser Brody stabbing could happen too easily.
The difference between Bradshaw and someone like Bob Holly, who has had claims of bullying against him, which frankly are bullshit, is that Holly didn’t bully he wanted to make sure that you were ready physically for some of the tougher situations that could happen.
And don’t even get me started on “Ribbing”. There are great ribbers, that pranked to make people laugh, Hennig, and Owen come to mind. This fool wanted to make himself laugh.
Your right Jim, JBL should of been told, "hey, I'm fixin to bust your head if you keep up the yap son" I bet any money it would of stopped. This is the first episode IV thought the co host here is actually a wet ham sandwich in dire need of a few tablespoons of cement!
I get it, you don’t want to have an environment where assault is the only solution, or is a solution that is on the table, but at the same time, when you have this shit happening with the same guy, it’s time to get him out. Either before someone grabs a tire iron or baseball bat, or there’s a lawsuit because of the work environment.
i agree w/ both. I had ppl bother me at jobs and told them to stop. If they didnt leave me be, I'd go to the office and it would stop. If things got physical, i would defend myself without hesitation. But thats just me

Well said about Bradshaw, Brian
The random Terry Funk impersonation at 15:07 was fucking gold!
I actually agree with both parties here but the problem is, today's Laws wouldn't agree with Jim.
I blame the WWE more than I blame JBL for this. JBL does this shit because he knows he can get away with it and there'll never be any repercussions for him. Jim himself has mentioned on a number of occasions the way that Vince McMahon has bullied Howard Finkel with tasteless ribs over the years. And of course there's the number of times that JR was publicly humiliated on WWE TV with stuff that crossed the line between entertainment and bullying (See Dr Hiney). Yeah I would love to see more people take the approach that Joey Styles took and smack Bradshaw right in the face but the it won't be JBL that gets punished for it by the WWE it'll be the person who stood up to JBL. At the end of the day people are concerned not just for their jobs but for their future careers after WWE. Getting fired for punching a coworker (Even if that coworker deserves it) is not going to look good on anyone's CV.
.
MrMetalover666 .....if there are people who can testify to jbl's bullying ways, then there shouldn't be any problems with Mauro taking a frying pan and installing a few knots on jbl's head
In an ideal world maybe but it doesn't always work like that. Any Mauro Ranallo is still an in demand announcer for boxing and MMA so I don't think he's going to have any problems.
If Undertaker Were There JBL Would Be Fucked Cause You Don't Fuck With Undertaker In Any Circumstances At All
Well it’s obvious that JBL won’t stop overall. Styles smacking the shit out of him is proof of that.
Technically, 'Palmer Cannon' was a trained wrestler who was put in a non-wrestling role.

Generational difference is very polite way of saying what i am thinking and if i wrote what i actually felt it would fill page after page. If I could give advice to anyone under 25 The reality is you probably wont get your dream job/income there is a reason its called the top 1 percent but that doesnt mean you shouldnt try. Side note how depressing is it that the number one icon for women in the states and probably the world is fucking Kim Khardshian a woman from a wealthy family that became even more wealthy and a style icon by "leaking" a video of her being fucked by two rappers. 10/15 years ago it would of killed her career not elevated it.
@The Ghost of Flekk Bone Gnawer yeah just allow people to think bullying is okay. Funny thing is most of the people that says back in my days were pussies back in the day. Jim is a pussy no disrespect but I bet he was bullied and hated it. As he should why would grown men bully another grown men it's so much other things to do
@Flekk Bone Gnawer No the old generation would stand up to it or deal with it, not moan on social media or in the sheets.
So Jim's argument is seriously "Well, why don't you just go bash him with some kind of blunt instrument? Problem solved!"...What??
4:01 that's so funny my side is hurting....

I’m actually surprised no one shot JBL already
Knowing Joey Styles punched JBL in the face just made my day.
If i am not mistaken, it was Matt and Jeff Hardy, and it was to the Jackal
Honestly I agree with both Jim and Brian equally.
I grew up with JR & the king it's just not the same without them on ring side
JBL making a level-headed guy like Brian feel so much heat is exactly why JBL is such a good heel.
Brian is so so so so so worked up here lol
I mean, Jim has a point. Whatever happened to fighting back? If someone was fucking with me, I'd put him in retirement.
I don't disagree. Harsh as it may sound, Jim is speaking the truth. JBL is a prick though, and that bullshit shouldn't be tolerated.
that "old school" excuse only works when it goes both ways. in the real old school the promoter wouldnt protect a bully from a receipt just cause he was a stooge. and that appears to be the situation in the wwe. i have a feeling that jbl's behavior has been brought to the attention of the front office more than once, but jbl's relationship with vince killed any complaint or corrective action. and brian is right, hawk/bradshaw/jbl came up in the 90s, when there were only two promotions in the US. there is nothing old school about his experience. i could never imagine lance russell treating anyone this way, much less dave brown.
given when Joey put JBL flat on his ass he didn't face any repercussions it seems the WWE still allows you handle this like a man when reason and logic fail tell him once stop of I am gonna hit you if he doesn't listen follow through either with a weapon or your bare hands at that point the bully usually stops.
I'm totally with Brian here. JBL is a punk who thinks he's a tough guy. He was a mid card tag wrestler who got a world title run because they had a lack of options at the time and glass jaw Leftfield kissed the right ass. If a legit tough guy like Harley Race or Orndorff or Haku had got in this idiots face he would have wet his pants
I'm a huge cornette fan but he often excuses people's bad behaviour because they're friends of his. I've heard him defend someone he likes for doing the same crap that someone he doesn't like does
Brian says JBL playing pranks is bullying but when Jim was telling him Steiner brother stories he found it hilarious......
“Thrown in a wood chipper”
Classic choice.
Mark
IT'S JOHN O'CLOCK!!!
Enjoy listening to Jim
At a certain point, you've got to put the bully in his place instead of blaming the victim for not standing up for themself.
I love you, Jim but you're dead wrong on this TGBL IS RIGHT! #FireJBL
Jim’s right they should fire JBL
ALL ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LIKE JBL NEEDS TO DO TO GET SOME SATISFACTION IS WATCH BART GUN KNOCK BRADSHAW THE FUCK OUT IN THE "BRAWL FOR ALL"

Like Justin Roberts said, Vince pretty much allows this to happen all the time.
i fuckin LOVE it when cornette starts getting a high ass pitched voice
Cornette is 100% wrong on this.
If I remember correctly, Jim did try and run someone over with a car. He intended to use a baseball bat but ended up going with the car option.
Brian has never been in a locker room, that's why he's whinging about JBL.
This is not performance, it's hypocrisy on a massive scale - "Hey kids, don't be bullies, but some of our top employees got where they are by bullying their way up the ladder!"
ccmanize JBL wasn't a Heel commentator in the 90s/early 2000s. Fire that dildo.
Cornette is in my opinion..a excellent and interesting speaker and story teller.
Meanwhile JBL made more money from JUST wrestling (nevermind the $ he actually made in the stocks- that part was real marks) than Brian Last has or will ever make about talking about it 😂
that's your logic? he has more money so he is in the right? Youre at the extreme low end of intelligence.

JBL would have responded with, "WTF are you going to do about it?" while walking him down.
