I liked the last system. I think it was really good for a healthy casual userbase as 10 wins before was simply too hard. You basically need to play slightly more than twice as good as the average player which obviously means beginners need 20+ games to get their first win. Most people are just going to give up before they get there. If I wasn’t the type of person to watch people better than me play games I suck at I definitely wouldve given up
not sure if you have done the math but you are spot on with that 20 figure. in the current live system, someone with a 50% ww each round is expected to win 1 in 20 games.
@@moomoocow526 damn! and I feel like you actually need a bit of practice to win 50% of your rounds so new players might take longer! I didn’t do any math, I kind of just spitballed based off what I remember seeing on the SAP subreddit from people who started playing and hadnt gotten a win yet, my own experience, and my gfs experience. Honestly I think it most cases it was much more than 20 games (i really don’t remember how long it took me either, just a vague sense) and I figured it was better to be on the conservative side. Anyway yeah, I think with a 50% round w/l, it should be more like 1 in 10 or 1 in 5 matches won per round. I get around 1 in 5 and if it was less than that I don’t think I’d be able to see the game as a “relaxing” game like it’s supposed to be

@@moomoocow526honestly when I heard of people that had 40% win rates I thought they were just lying. I thought there was to much rng to win that consistently but no… some people are just that good lol. the dudes on coconut mall discord do not fuck around lol. lately they’ve had a lot of sway over how the game is balanced actually. But I guess thats a whole nother topic. Ultimately I do think its good they have the sway they do; just maybe not for things outside pet balance and versus changes.
I kind of like the way it worked with losing lives based on the remaining pets, but I could take it or leave it. This system, on the other hand, makes absolutely no sense to me

How, its literally just lose 1 life per match, you gain 1 back if you lost at i think its tier 2 / 4/5? only get 2 back
@Pdawg I understand the mechanic, I'm just trying to wrap my head around the reasoning behind it. All things considered it's not too dissimilar to the current mechanic (where earlier losses have less impact than later losses), but I feel like it makes the first few rounds meaningless if losses essentially have no impact on your lives. And for example, if I win round 1, there's literally 0 incentive to win round 2
@@cowabunghole that's not true as winning round two gives you a win and means you don't need to win the last round that you would have to win without it. I think it's fine to restore a lost life early as the first couple of rounds really are quite random as you are so dependent on which pets show up in your first or second shop. Only one gold to reroll in the first round without being down a pet.
If you have a lvl 2 Alpaca with no charges, but you have an empty space, you can combine the lvl 2 on top of a newly purchased level 1 and it refreshes your lvl 2 charges (as opposed to buying the lvl 1 directly onto the lvl2)

@@gravy3858 as far as I know yes, works with most pets with triggers too (Buffalo, hamster, brontosaurus, etc.)

A-to-z foods. Grab the featured food everytime it appears on the shop. See 2 pills at once? But both. Not enough gold? Freeze for next turn. Already have plans for your gold? Then too bad, you have to buy it now.

Pita is no longer an armour item. It boosts hp instead of preventing damage now.

Just wanted to say that I actually agree with the canned food nerf. I was mad at first too, but it made sense when I thought about it. Canned food isn't something that you would buy unless you had a build for it. And when you do have a build for it, it was overpowered. Think about this, imagine having a squirrel, cat, and fox. The squirrel would make it cheaper, the cat would multiply it's effect and so would the fox. Imagine you have a level 2 squirrel and a level 3 cat. You buy two cans for 1 gold each. The cat would quadruple the +2/+2 to +8/+8. Make that squirrel a level three and add a Sauropod and you would get the +8/+8 and two gold for it. And that's in one turn and that's only if you only get two canned foods. Now imagine having a level 3 cat and fox and you can see how it could get out of hand.

@@dipperz sealion in position 2 gives 1 attack to the frount onea 1 one health to 3,4,5 sealino in position 4 gives 1 health to the 1 in the back and 1 attack to position 1,2,3 so the frst 1 would get more atak and the back on would get more health

Looks like you can only lose one heart at a time now, something like that
The new health system in the test server starts you with 4 hearts and you only lose 1 heart at a time. You also gain +1 heart on turns 3 and 5 if you've lost any, but you can never get more than 4 hearts.

What I think the heart system should be:
Start with 4 lives, if you lose a battle you lose a life, if you lose 4 times in a row (due to bad luck or your build takes too long too start), you get a redemption life which gets you back in the running and basically you have to win the rest
The whole point is to give a last chance for players behind, like in Mario kart with the bullet bills and stars. Or in cup pong when the opposing team makes the last cup
New life system looks bad, basically just the current system on public servers but worse.

I don't understand why they keep changing the art! What was wrong with the melon or glass of milk, pill, cupcake, etc.? I understand they're trying to make the game better but how is that helping? Just a waste of time.
The prior art was all from the android emojis I believe. However these are now all independently designed and owned.
because a lot of food (and animals) were just a copy of emojis on android and they are trying to move away from that by making them original arts
