Thank you for your insights, sir. I appreciate your work and the discussions you've sparked regarding Ismaili theology. While you label their practices as 'shirk,' Ismailis have their own theology and arguments supporting their beliefs.
It's unfair to claim they don't engage with the Quran, as many Sunnis in our region also struggle to understand its teachings. Accusing them of taqiya stems from a history of persecution by Muslim rulers, who wrongly targeted them.
As someone born into the Hanafi tradition, I too have significant disagreements with Sunni theology, reflected in the lack of unity among Muslim countries, especially evident in situations like Gaza.
I find Sunni beliefs about awaiting a Mahdi simplistic, given the controversial history of caliph appointment. These are just some of my disagreements. Peace.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. Let me “challenge” you on this here. Anyone doing acts of worship that associate partners with Allah swt is doing shirk. The Ismailis as you are aware, calls upon an imam that is living somewhere in the west and asking him for help, in their doa. This is attributing the qualities of “all hearing” that only should be given to Allah. This is also shirk.
In addition, there are protocols to observe during one’s Solah. There has to be ruku’ and sajdah in accordance to the teachings of the prophet Muhammad saw. This is also not performed in the jamatkhanahs. Moreover, calling upon Ali ra for help is shirk. Al Fatiha is clear on this. Only Allah’s help should be invoked during acts of worship.
The Ismailis don’t engage in the Qur’an in the right understanding of the companions of the prophet saw. And just because one struggles to understand any of the 4 school of thoughts, that does not proof anything. Instead, one should study using reliable sources.
The ithna ashariyya too don’t regard the Ismailis as Muslims. But I have no authority to declare anyone who believes in Allah and the prophets as a munafiq. Which is why I mentioned that their practices are “shirky.”
