Simply inexcusable honestly. Liberty may not be a bad team at all, but we are in the SEC. We don't have 5 points midway through the 4th quarter against a school like that. This is all on Pittman and Briles. Playing KJ even though he was hurt really hindered us from being good offensively today. That and the O line didn't show up at all

One of my concerns is being beat by Liberty is the effect it’s going to be on the current commitments and future recruits.
Fax. If anybody thinks a loss like this doesn’t effect recruiting they’re insane. Players won’t wanna go to a program that can’t beat GO5 schools.
Teams like Tenn and Ole Miss are just way sexier and more exciting than Ark to recruits

Agree with everything you said, Trey. I’m furious. I’m glad people are mad. I’m sick of it. You nailed it: after the Texass win, I thought this crap was over. This is Chad Morris era bad. This is Bert’s loss to Toledo. The Chad’s loss to WKU. Whatever inspiration Sam brought to this program is clearly gone. He’s not inspiring these guys to play from the opening kickoff and even HE knows it. He said as much in his press conference. This isn’t the same team, but it’s a more experienced offensive line and the head coach is purportedly the best offensive line coach in the business and it’s the offensive line that got manhandled today. Liberty beat us with a third string quarterback and we don’t even have a second string quarterback that we have confidence in.

This is one of the least inspired efforts I’ve seen from this team in a while. I felt like it was a Chad Morris era game when I was embarrassed to say I was an Arkansas fan.

I like Sam. I like my wife too, but i dont want her as our football coach. Ive been of the opinion that Sam was the man for the job. The reason we all felt that way is because of the product he put on the field. Now look at the product being put on the field. Poorly cosched. Poorly motivated. KJ may have been hurt but how hurt can he be? He played pretty dang good last week. Left the game feeling good as far as everyone could tell. Even when KJ is healthy he doesnt read defenses very well. Nor does he find open receivers very well. It was an 8 man box on the 2 point play to tie the game and we run right into it. I cant imagine any SEC OC wants to run that play against an 8 man box. We had one timeout and the game on the line. But we took that joker right into the locker room with us along with the L that we deserved. We havent played worth a crap all year and this was the worst yet. Something has to change. No way we should ever in a million years lose to freeking liberty at home on homecoming. I have 4 ole miss tickets. What would i have to pay someone to take them?

I'm frustrated for many different reason but KJ is not even close to being one of them. The kid plays with all heart..has 23 total touchdowns vs 3 interceptions, He completes 67% of his passes with over 2,400 yards of offense in the 8 games he's played. Pay attention please sir.
@@JustinClough76 i pay very close attention. Is KJ a decent QB?. Yes. Has he bailed out kendall time and time again? Yes. Is he the best we have? Yes. Does he make bad reads often? Yes. Does he miss open recievers often? Yes. Last year he was able to just throw it up to 16 and let him beat his man. KJ is the reason we have won some games. Not the reason we lost this one. Im not saying that. But ive stated before after seeing him make bad reads that he has trouble at times. Example...last play of the game. 8 man box. Real good QBs count the box and get the O into the right play. Sometimes your in the right play and the other team beats you somehwere and makes a play. I get that. But there are pre snap reads and post snap reads. Pre snap should be fairlly easy. Post snap is tough. i get it. Im meaning to come down hard on the coaches. Not the players. Its kendalls job to teach and prepare the QBs for pre and post snap. If they fail its because he failed. Im glad KJ is our QB. Just wish kendall did a better job. I mean we just went a whole game of him getting schooled. If it werent for a few miraculous 4th down plays we wouldnt have even had a shot.

I said after the loss to Texas A&M, they'll never get over it. That loss will ruin them for the rest of the year. I think it haunts Pittmann. It was the beginning of the end.

Hard to recruit when we’re incredibly terrible. This loss hurts. It wasn’t a fluke loss, it wasn’t turnovers, it was strictly being out played and out coached.

@@LankyWx I watched the whole game. Everyone played uncharacteristically. But we are sitting here acting like we just lost to a 1-7 FCS team when we really just lost to a 7-1 top 25, best independent school with a top 20 overall defense squad. Yes it’s inexcusable and we 100% should have won. But let’s not over blow this loss because some fans want to be whiney because we have to battle to get to 6 wins on a yearly basis.
Newsflash, that’s just who we are. Historically we are a 6-6, 7-5 team with an occasional 8 to 10 win season. Always have been.

This is exactly how I feel about the game and the program.
This game just felt like classic Arkansas. Playing like trash against scrub teams. We 100% play at our opponents level and that’s just the way it is.

It is alarming how many times we've seen Coach Pittman out-coached. He's even admitted it. Poor calls, being out-smarted, not having the players ready.
Petrino exposed us but we were lucky to get the W there. Real lucky. Not this time. At what point do we start looking at the coach and these clowns for a staff? An all too familiar feeling. What Trey said though: "You beat Liberty." Especially in Fayetteville. This is not good.
Petrino in Fayetteville is water under the bridge. But damn... it sucks. He should still be here. Smh. Good coaches win games they're not suppose to win because they have their teams prepared regardless of size, strength or speed. Sure all those attributes help win games. But you have to also be a damn good coach too who motivates and calls the right plays.
Petrino can win on the big stage or small stage. To these kind of coaches it's like a game of chess. They're thinkers. Smart af. This Liberty coach is right up there with that kind of coach. Hell, even Nutt could motivate and had ENERGY. But I digress. This season is pure 💩

Somethin different every week, but the o-line? That’s our strong suit. Can’t put together a complete game, just can’t. What’s it next week? Big fan of Pittman, but man we needed this win. Starting to get the Morris-syndrome where I watch a couple quarters and can already see how the game’s gonna play out. Tough loss
Liberty dominated Arkansas on every level. That 21-19 score is no reflection of the total dominance they had over us. It was an embarrassing event.
What game were you watching? We had 428-315 in yards. 284 to 224 in passing yards. 144 to 91 rushing yards. 5.4 to 5.0 yards per play. 22 to 17 first downs. 79 to 63 in total plays. WE WON EVERY SINGLE STAT except the score board.

Good job as always Trey. The offense simply stunk. No blocking from an O line that should have handled these chumps. To compound the problem 2 players acted real stupid afterward and got arrested. Lockerroom problems. Dammit is right. You ended this one with the way we all feel. Dammit this season may go off the rails. LSU has regrouped and are ready. Ole Miss and us is always a knife fight. Mizzou has a decent defense. We could easily go 5 and 7 and be a trainwreck. Let's get it together guys, no more stupid stuff!
Liberty had a bye week to rest and prepare for us. Freeze was a SEC coach. We got out-coached and out-played today. Our O line was terrible. I haven't seen Coach's press interview yet but he won't throw anyone under the bus or admit how injured that we really are. It sucks but we can hope lessons were learned and apply to the rest of the season.
Don't forget about how painful the walk and talks were when Morris was coaching. We're in a way better situation with Coach P.

All season long I have watched KJ not lead his recievers ... he is good, but are they clicking?
Watching the players post-game told me everything I needed to see about our offense. Zero accountability and zero fire. I didn’t see players crushed because of this loss. I saw players saying just enough to make it sound like they’ll get better, but zero leadership. At time Haselwood almost defended that performance. Unacceptable.

The A&M loss and this one, both by inches and one or two points is what has hurt me as an old Razorback. After that last win, I really believed we were gonna win out. Hummm? Now what, Mr. Sam?

It feels like at practice the coaches said "we need to really work defense and special teams. Offense, get some rest."
I’m convinced they just figured the offense would do good because of the last two games.
They didn't say that at practice. They said it at the game.
Pittman pretty much admitted that he has no control over the offense, he wanted to pull KJ and Briles “told him what he needed to hear, that KJ was their guy and they should stick with him”. That just doesn’t sit well with me. He is the head coach, that is his decision to make if he feels it is right, and instead he’s getting overruled by a coordinator? Come on man.

The players also said in the press conference they practiced with Malik all week in the passing game. How are you going to have the team practice with different QB all week then put in another on game day? That does not sound smart at all.
Couldn't agree with you more trey. It's terrible, the best thing for this team and the coaches to keep their jobs is to win out and go 8-4. I don't see it happening personally but it's not my Job and fan base on the line. Love the work keep it up.
My issue with KJ and it has happened all year long and last year. When he panics he gets destroyed. To many times he has ran it and it has worked here and there but so many times he throws it and it is puzzling why he threw it or ran it.
For what it’s worth, similar conversations are going on in Lincoln NE, College Station TX, Norman OK, Manhattan KS, Stillwater OK, and many other college towns across America. NCAA football is very competitive, and no team is significantly better, or worse, than any other. A handful of plays often determine the outcome.
What no one is talking about is KJ didn't throw in last week practice and even the receiver didn't know who would start the game at QB. In the interview with one of the receiver you could tell they were let down by Malik not getting to start. Malik was the one that pass to the receiver all week in practice. Pittman in the game talk to Briles about putting Malik in and Briles talk Pittman out of putting Malik in. All I can say KJ came around in the fourth quarter, but it was too little too late. That were I think the let down and slow start came from.
Do I think KJ the better QB yes, I do when he's 100%, but I don't think he was 100% and coaches don't either if they had he would been throwing in practice last week.
That's my 2 cents for what it's worth.
If I didn't word this right forgive me. I think I was having a real heart attack for the third time Saturday night and I had to take 3 nitroglycerin 15 minute apart. Yes I have been to my heart Dr. and have go again Wednesday for more test.
I bought a new Razorback hat and hoodie the week of the Texas A & M game. Haven't worn either of them because they quit after KJ tried to play Superman and gave up 7 points that ended up being the difference in that game. The team relies far too much on 1 good player at key positions and if that player gets hurt or isn't playing well we lose. The companies that spent money on these players for NIL rights should get a refund or at least a tax write off for a bad investment.
The KJ fumble wasn't a loss of 7 points. It was a 13 point turnaround.

If anyone doubts that one bad play in a game can ruin a season, look no further than Arkansas. The season completely changed after the KJ's Superman fumble against Texas AM. It has been down hill ever since. The whole essence of the team changed after that.

This is inexcusable in every way. 5 points halfway through the 4th?! Awful play calling all day, horrible execution on the bad play calls. Bad offensive line play, bad running game. Defense honestly played ok. Macadoo honesty might be a stud for the defense going forward. So disappointed in the offense. Defense gave our offense a chance and the offense didn’t do crap. I still love the hogs but this season is over. We could have a couple more wins this year but we won’t win another game with the coaching calling games like this
Liberty looked like bama on defense with liberty jerseys on.
Liberty has one of the best defenses on the country statistically. That said they aren't the same raw talent level as any SEC team.

Like you said last year they had leaders. This year I can't see anyone on the team I can say is a leader. Not in interviews not on the sidelines. Being a leader behind closed doors doesn't help when your in the field
I don’t even think they were out coached I simply think they were outplayed. The O line from the first snap showed they didn’t want to be there. Kj tried to put the team on his back but couldn’t.
Kendal Briles playbook got us beat. Simple as that. The dude is an ok OC. Let him go and bring in Bobby Petrino. It'll be like he's running the team again. Pittman gives his coordinators full control anyway. So bring back Bobby!

If your content in winning 6-7 games a year than Pittman is your guy. If you strive to be better Pittman needs to step down. He’s in completely over his head, you could hear it in his voice coming out of half. He doesn’t wanna make decisions. You have seen it all season. We’re gonna keep him around, but everyone knows in there heart this isn’t gonna change. Everyone knows that. If we’re short on players that’s the coaches fault. If Pittman wants to run more or do things differently it’s his job to see it done. But this season is gonna end ugly. We should pull the plug now because time isn’t gonna fix this. This isn’t even about expecting greatness. This is about playing with heart and a desire to win against a team you out talented at every position. APATHY is going to set in, and it’s feeling eerily similar to chad morris, beliema end. It shouldn’t take time to beat liberty. And when Pittman inevitably steps down we can look back to this and say we waited to long.

Trey nailed it. Yes coaches are ultimately responsible. The lack of pure player leadership is not there. Grant Morgan lead that defense, as much as I like the play of Sanders, he is not the leader. He is concerned about the draft and what is round is. Pittman is so busy coaching his coaches he can focus on game decisions as well as he should.

I understand being confident and expecting to win but this really comes off as entitlement. When are people going to understand that Liberty is good and should not be scheduled as a homecoming team. They are undersized and don't have superstar talent but they are well coached and fundamentally sound. It's chemistry, not physics.
I think this team lacks leadership, specifically vocal leadership.
Also, too many of our players think they’re better than what they really are. So, they don’t put in maximum effort, because they don’t feel like they need to. There’s a lack of care.
and good offensive play calling that plays to your teams strengths. Hell, how about game plan your offensive to the opponents weaknesses…..now thats a thought! Running the exact same plays every game will not win you games in the SEC or GO5!
Lack of leadership is crazy when you have Bumper Pool in his 5th or 6th year, other 5 year guys in Blair, Slusher & Brini on defense and OL guys that have started for 3 years and on campus for 4 or 5 years it seems. I can't believe it is the lack of leadership with this group.
I don't know what it is thats causing me same mistakes in the secondary that were happening week 1 & 2 to still be happening week 9. Wide open receivers against Cincinnati and South Carolina also were occurring against Liberty. DBs not improving their technique, on the coaching process or the player not grasping it???

Every since Pittman got his raise he has been out coached
Steps to Success:
- Energetic culture. Besides some positions on D, I think we have the key players for a 10 win season, but Sam and the Hogs don’t seem hungry. They haven’t all year.
- Replace Briles with Petrino. We know Petrino will do good and move on after a couple of years, but Pittman can learn better offensive strategies.
- Replace DC & Special Teams coaches. Don’t see any real progression. They need to go.
Although I love the guy, if Pittman is unable to do the necessary tough conversations, then he will need to go, too.
This performance was unacceptable.
Rumor has it the team gave up. Everyone wanted Malik to play. KJ had the flu. Time for a new OC and DC. Pittman is not the answer. Lot of rumors going around.
Man as a Liberty fan I'm going to try real hard not to pick on what you're saying here and let you be upset for your team's performance. But at some point people have to give Liberty credit. And to say that there's no players on liberty's team that arkansas would take from the portal is just silly.
Also liberty's defensive line is one of the best in the country. Take it to the bank
Well, you're wrong twice. Amazing what people hear... I didn't say there's none. I said, "There's maybe a handful of guys on that entire roster Arkansas would even welcome from the transfer portal," which is 100% true. And go to the 7:52 mark, "All due respect to Liberty."
@@HawgSports All right I watched it like an hour ago. Sorry about that. There's more than a handful though. This defensive line is one of the best in the country. And I did see the part of you giving Liberty respect So thanks for that. But some of the early comments frustrated me. But I get it man you're upset. Give it a few years and I think Liberty will be considered on a much higher level than most SEC people consider Liberty now.

We are not finished with this crap. Coach Pitman is a good guy, but he needs to learn fast, as he looks like he is woefully out of his depts. His post-game interviews show he is not comfortable. The Arkansas OC and DC will not get good Head Coaching job offers after this season. The decision that Coache Pittman has to make is if he wants to keep them. LSU just beat Alabama and Missouri looked good against in their loss to Kentucky at home. Ole Miss had a bye this week and they are 8-1. Unless Arkansas rights the ship and in a freaking hurry they will lose the next three games and we will not be bowling in December. Did Coach Pittman hire Chad Morris? Very disappointing season and it could have been avoided.

Hell, I was calling for his head last year! This overrated fool has been riding the coat tails of his great daddy for the last 10 years. He also cost Treylon Burks millions of bucks by not throwing him the ball more last year. Burks could have been the best wide receiver in hog history.
Briles has got to change or leave Arkansas. His play calling is atrocious. He calls the exact same plays every game. He does not make adjustments at half time. It’s flat out terrible and obvious what he is calling. That two point conversion play at the end was a very poor play call. You have to make a better play call than that. I have tried to like Briles but unfortunately every game is more of the same problems. I can call out what we are doing before the ball is snapped…too obvious. Not even playing to Arkansas strengths. Just sad and poor to still have this type of BS happening.
My ole lady tells me to stop watching it if I’m just going to yell “run the damn ball” every single game lol Briles needs to quit the fancy calls and just be simple with it. 2pt play was terrible. We passed it the whole drive, gassed their defense then we’re going to run the ball into and 8 man box with no lead blocker!!!!!

The offensive line performed horribly. We were out played time and time again. Our credibility has been severely damaged, I doubt we can recover this season.

It’s easy to dominate a team when they are running the exact same plays every game all season no matter who they are playing against. Briles is a terrible OC. KJ would be better off with someone else also.

Our window for a successful program is about to close. When Texas and Oklahoma get here, we won’t get another player out of either of those two states. This program’s days are numbered, honestly.
Totally agree. Won't be able to get any players out of Louisiana too because their new football coach (Kelly) is fixin to make them a top 10 team year in and year out. Pittman is not the answer and hog program will suffer greatly for at least 3 more years till he resigns.
Resembles more of Bielema’s Toledo loss than the Morris type losses. Liberty is actually a good team, but you should not lose to a group of 5 team at home. We don’t have a single “good” win on the schedule, maybe Cincinnati? And even they have not been as strong as people thought coming in the year. 6 wins before the season might have been a reasonable projection, but I can’t imagine anyone is going to feel good when we’re 5-6 needing a win against Missouri to be bowl eligible. And that’s looking less like a cakewalk every day.
Nothing says discipline like two players being arrested a few hours after this disaster.
What was the line in the game? I didn't have a chance to catch the game and when someone told me we lost, I thought they were joking.

At 2:55 Trey says offense couldn't get off the field?? What are you meaning, offense punted 5 times, threw a INT and then didn't convert on 4th down. The offense couldn't stay on the field. I'm assuming you are trying to say something about the defense had no time to rest or recover due to the horrible offense and the lack of rest led to 21 points??
