Great job picking flats - really good areas. Happy to see anglers exploring our island DIY. Good tip for Roatan is keep it high and keep it tight! Lots of potential to get cut off during a fight. As soon as you hook up put that rod as high as you can and it can avoid those break offs. Roatan hosts (thankfully) healthy inshore reef habitat. Not good for us anglers but great for the fish. Thanks for posting this. It looks a bit like Grand Cayman, not many sand flats but plenty of coral and grass. Light flies and single mono weedguard.
For sure weedguards and light flies. Bring some green shrimp, and plan on looking for mostly tails! Good luck out there!
