I've been following the news about Xinjiang and Uyghur for years. I've noticed that all these accusations of genocides and slave labors are "personal testimonials", just words and stories, from witnesses who may or may not be reliable, who may or may not have an agenda (like claiming asylum,) who may or may not have a personal axe to grind with Chinese. So far, I have NOT seen actual video footage or proofs, NOT a single video of actual genocide or slave labor.

Anyway, if it is a lie, then the truth will ultimately come out down the road... when the living standard, income level, education, health and other indexes in Xinjiang and Uyghur improve in a few years. Then it will be another blow to the credibility of the US media. This particular lie (if it's a lie) is difficult to maintain over a long period of time -- because China says it is trying to improve lives in Xinjiang, while America and the West are claiming China is committing genocide. Time is the best way to expose a lie. In a few years, we shall see if the life of Uyghur in Xinjiang have really improved by looking at various measuring indexes. Then the truth will come out... China just has to be patient. I suppose then the US media will just move on to other smears and pretend this has never happened.

Australia would be wise not to interfere into China’s internal affairs. Xinjiang was called Xiyu during Han Dynasty when Emperor Hanwudi conquered it after Xiyu constantly attacked Zhong Guo (China) & Emperor Han’s grandfather & father had failed to pacify it. This happened in 206 BC. Don’t ever think US is buddy with Australia as most of the Australian products left vacant in China’s markets hv bn fully taken up by the American suppliers. Australia’s natural gas is the latest victim China has just added. New Zealand is wise to stay away from trouble. Your bad luck is US’s good luck. PM Morrison for his selfish political ends choses to be anti China and that will invariably hurt many Australians most unnecessary.

There are some westerns living in China who have investigated the claim of genocide and forced labor in Xinjing by themselves. This video (ruclips.net/video/67pU0Ybovnc/видео.html) is the episode 2 of a series of videos in which a guy named Raz visited a cotton field in Xinjing and interviewed the Uyghurs working in this cotton field. In other episodes, Raz visited 3 Uyghur families and interviewed 10 random Xinjing locals. If you are interested in knowing the crux of this accusation and see how large the holes in the evidence of genocide or forced labor, you can watch this video (ruclips.net/video/WU3cpoodpIg/видео.html) which was also made by a western living in China. If after watching such solid evidence of our disinformation against China, someone doesn’t know how to deny. Don’t worry because our traditional tactics always work! Just claim that all these videos are Chinese propaganda.

    • @Fre3r

    • @vocnotvoa7707
      @vocnotvoa7707 2 года назад +1

@@Fre3r How do u know that they are paid by the Chinese government? Can you answer following questions? (1) Why even China’s president could have only one child due to the strictly enforced one child per family policy from 1979 to 2016 but all the “persecuted” Uyghurs and Tibetans were not subject to this policy and allowed to have multiple kids? Due to this imparity, most recent census shows that in Xinjiang, Uyghur population has grown from 8.34 million in 2000 to 11.62 million in 2020 which is much faster than that of Han Chinese. Have you seen such “Genocide”? You don’t want to ask why our medias and politicians never told you this so obvious fact that every Chinese knows? Why all minorities including Uyghurs can get vast benefits such as extra free points added to their college admission exam scores to give the minorities better chance to be admitted to colleges, reserved positions in the government, etc.? All these policies are clearly written in their law and every single Chinese knows. If China is to erase Uyghur’s culture, why China seems to be doing a lot of counterproductive things such as Uyghur printed on China’s national banknotes, Uyghur on all the street name signs in Xinjiang, etc.? Can you find any languages other than English printed on any US dollars? (2) Many Uyghur fighters were captured in Afghanistan and detained in Guantanamo and ETIM was also listed as a terrorist organization by the US government. So, Uyghurs used to be repressed by the US as well? Why did major general Hecker of the U.S military announce that they bombed a group of Uyghurs belonging to ETIM on 02/07/2018? Why suddenly ETIM was delisted as a terrorist organization? Simply because ETIM is our enemy’s enemy? (3) Any mass persecutions are always accompanied with refugee crisis much less a genocide which is the uttermost form of persecution. In addition to genocide, our allegations also include incarceration of more than 1 million or about 8% of the entire Uyghur population in concentration camps and forced labor. If our accusations are true, we must have seen a notable refugee crisis like those we have seen in many other regions. Just think about when almost 10 million “repressed” Uyghurs desperately escape from China and how many troops Chinese government needs to deploy! But why our satellites which can read a license plate clearly can’t show us a single image of such humanitarian crisis such as the refugee camps along the border or confrontation between Chinese troops and the Uyghurs flocking to the border? Why are we only given so called satellite photo evidence of “concentration camps”? How do you know that these buildings are concentration camps? Simply because they are enclosed with a wall? In China, I saw all the schools, hospitals, factories, etc. are enclosed with a wall. Why in one such “evidence”, you can even find a big garden in a “concentration camp”? Why CNN needs to blur the date on the passport of a “concentration camp victim” simply because the printed date indicates that her passport was issued and renewed while she was “detained” in the “concentration camp”? (4) If Uyghurs are forced labors why China has been trying its best to make cotton production so highly mechanized which can be easily proved by the American company John Deere’s own sales report? US footwear company Skechers has refuted the allegations of forced labor multiple times with multiple internal audits but why no mainstream western medias dare to share their investigation results with the westerners? Why our medias always treat the skeptical testimonies provided by the Uyghur separatists who want to create an Islamic ethnostate in Xinjiang as solid evidence of forced labor? Can a defendant be convicted by the plaintiff’s testimony only without other evidence? Why Skechers’ investigation must be excluded? What is our evidential standard when it comes to castigating China? (5) Why when China invited independent international investigation, a lot of countries including many Muslim countries accepted except the western nations who claimed to investigate by themselves but if someone files a lawsuit against you, as the defendant, can you accept any investigations conducted by the plaintiff? Can you accept a judge who already believes the narratives of the plaintiff and vows to punish you? (6) Why no Muslim countries join this game of disinformation against China? (7) Why after investigating in Xinjiang, Fariz Mehdawi, Palestine’s ambassador to China wrote “You know, the number of mosques, if you have to calculate it all, it’s something like 2,000 inhabitants for one mosque. This ratio we don’t have it in our country. It’s not available anywhere. Are we diplomates so naïve that we could be maneuvered to believe anything or are we part of a conspiracy that we would justify something against what we had seen? I think this is not respectful. There is no conspiracy here, there is facts. And the fact of the matter is that China is rising and developing everywhere, including Xinjing. Since some people are not happy about that, they would like to stop the rise of China by any means.”

@Christopher Meisner Taiwan is not recognized internationally. The island is a history that followed China. The Chinese Republican Army fled to this island (Taiwan) after the defeat of the socialist forces. The forces that fled tried to regain their power to regain Chinese lands from the Socialist Party, but according to the agreement, the war stopped. There are many people crossing themselves Chinese, and there is a generation of citizens refusing to accept China. This problem is complex. America only cares about this island for the sake of its interests. Whoever controls this island controls the entire region in the China Sea. This island separates America's allies Japan and South Korea from the Philippines. The China Sea has a disputed oil wealth between the two sea states, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia. These three countries have good relations with China and they can find a solution on this issue. America is trying to be close to China’s borders, to pose a strong threat to China. America tried to deploy missiles in South Korea and Japan. When the Soviet Union established a nuclear missile base in Cuba, close to America, a world war was about to break out. Taiwan Island is a historical and national security question for China. America is currently trying to fight the Chinese supremacy over it in every way. If America is concerned with international law and the United Nations, it would go to regain Palestinian lands in the West Bank from Israel, in which all war crimes are practiced, and if it was stronger, it would go to seize the Crimean peninsula that Russia took from Ukraine by force without Nato doing anything.Or to go to take back the island of Socotra, which the UAE took from Yemen, or the Emirates islands that Iran took. Everything that America does double standards only. Only America is trying to maintain its economic position, and the press and the media are part of this war.

@@gw3327 Almost Every Chinese knows the so-called 'Xinjing genocide' is a lie. This is why the western 'Xijing cotton boycott' movement trigger enormous dislike from Chinese normal citizens. If the US just criticize the Chinese government is not democratic enough (such as universal suffrage), I don't think Chinese people will say anything (because that criticism is reasonable on some level)

Xinjiang is actually open for foreign tourists and visitors, some of whom have uploaded their personal journeys and trips to Xinjiang to RUclips. You can also find on RUclips many video uploads -- i.e., "vblogs" -- from actual Uyghur girls living in Xinjiang (or other cities -- e.g., one pretty Uyghur girl started making videos in Xinjiang a few years ago before all these genocide and slave labor allegations started, and she is now living and attending a university in another city but continues to blog.) Those videos made by actual Uyghur are in Chinese, (meaning they are meant for domestic audience and NOT foreign/Western audiences.) However, their vblogs and videos are available on RUclips if you look for them. If you want to know if this news is real, fake or a propaganda, just look for those video on RUclips.
I suppose American and Western audiences would simply dismiss those vlogs as communist propaganda by Uyghur who are being pressured by the Chinese government; HOWEVER, the travel vblogs and videos of foreign tourists and visitors (especially those who have already left China) are harder to dismiss, as they have no reason to lie, (unlike the US news and press, which DO have reasons to lie.) Their travel blogs and videos paint a very different picture of Xinjiang and how Uyghur are being treated in China.
Also, I've noticed that all these accusations of genocides are "personal testimonials", just words and stories, from witnesses who may or may not be reliable, who may or may not have an agenda and a personal grudge against Chinese. At the very least, they certainly have a motivation to claim ethnic, political or religious prosecution to get asylum in America and the West. So far, I have NOT seen any actual video footage or proof, NOT a single video that shows a genocide or slave labor working, (have you?) If the genocide or slave labor is so widespread in Xinjing as they claimed, then I'd expect to see some leak videos or at least photographic proofs. It is extremely difficult to NOT have a leaked video in these days of smartphones. Just look at how videose of Israel slaughtering Palestinians has been leaking left and right even though America does not want them to leak and the US media refuses to cover/report those videos -- i.e., there are actual video proofs of Israeli soldiers shootings and bombing Palestinians civilians; yet you NEVER see US mainstream media show those video footage.) So, until I see some ACTUAL video footage and video/photographic proofs of Uyghur slaves laboring in CCP-run factory or being "genocided", I have my doubts.
My point being: if genocides and slave labors have actually been occurring in China, where are the leaked video footage?
I Ignore all these news from all these so-called "journalist" and "reporters", because nowadays ALL these so-called professional journalists and reporters have political agendas, whether they are on the left, right, US State Department payroll, Chinese bot farms, or whatever. Many if not the majority of them actually work for/with one or another government agency or political party, (for example: Fox News, a major mainstream news in America, is just a propaganda network for the Trump Party.) As I remember it, back in 2002 and 2003 all the US mainstream media (including Fox News) also reported that Iraq had "weapons of mass destruction" back in 2002 and 2003. We all know how those news turned how: LIES. Yet, the US news and press, journalists and reporters, have NEVER admitted and apologized for lying, lying and lying the country into two decades of war and occupation. Today, after losing their credibility on reporting anything in the Middle East, US journalists, reporters and talking heads -- whether they are on CNN, MSNBC or Fox News -- continue to push for narratives for US troops to invade, stay in and occupy countries in Middle East. I despise Trump, but he has made a good when he called out the US media and press for making up "fake news". Trump did not invent the "fake news" label. Trump is incompetence, BUT he is very astute, and he knows what people are already feeling about -- or against -- the US media and press, and he uses that public sentiment to his advantage for personal gains. (i.e., people already know that mainstream news and media are too often biased and dishonest, and Trump merely uses it to his own advantage.)

Recently, the former mayor of Floen, Norway, Westerby, the Danish scholar Obery, and the Dutch scholar Dimoulin issued a special report through the Swedish Transnational Peace and Future Research Foundation. The Xinjiang report conducted a "carpet-style refutation."
Based on the analysis of a large number of detailed survey data, the report concluded that the US-Canadian Xinjiang report is entirely based on Cold War thinking, "there is no basic academic basis at all, the content is seriously distorted, and it is impossible to prove the existence of'genocide' in Xinjiang."
In March of this year, the New Line Strategy and Policy Institute of the United States and the Raul Wallenberg Center for Human Rights in Canada released a report: "Uyghur Genocide: A Review of China’s Violation of the 1948 Genocide Convention."
There are many suspicious points in this report, which seem to be pieced together in haste.
The first is the independence of the report. The New Line Strategy and Policy Research Institute is closely related to various U.S. government agencies. In 2020, it established the "Uyghur Scholars Working Group" to "provide assistance to the United States and its allies in responding to China's genocide"; Raul Wallenberg Human Rights Center has long been concerned about "human rights issues in Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia and other countries". The person in charge of the center has tried to urge the Canadian Prime Minister to characterize Xinjiang-related issues as "genocide."
The author of the report claimed to have collected more than 10,000 Uyghur testimonies and "detainees" statements, and negotiated with 50 high-level experts in related fields around the world. However, according to the survey, most of the participants in the US-Canada report have been influenced by Christian fundamentalism and extreme conservatism for a long time. Some experts are notorious for being “extremely anti-China and anti-communist”.
For example, Dr. Adrian Zengzi, a human rights expert who repeatedly appeared in the report, was signed as a senior researcher on China at the "Communist Victims Memorial Foundation". The relevant foundation once claimed that "Communism has killed more than 100 million people." The so-called "reports from independent research institutes and published by independent scholars" are actually not independent at all.
The second is the ideological position of the report. The time for the preparation and release of the US-Canada report is very close to the time when former US Secretary of State Pompeo made the "genocide" remarks in Xinjiang. Pompeo previously publicly admitted that the US Central Intelligence Agency has been engaged in "liying, cheating and stealing activities" for a long time. This report is also hastily fabricated to serve the tough stance of interest groups in the United States towards China.
Judging from the source of the report, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the BBC, the Political Risk Magazine, Radio Free Asia and even unnamed websites have repeatedly appeared in the report as "academic sources". Needless to say, the slightly unfamiliar "Political Risk Magazine" for the first few publishers, Anders, worked for the US Defense Intelligence Agency and the US Pacific Command; as for Radio Free Asia, which has an annual budget of up to 43 million U.S. dollars, for many years He has been committed to "promoting American values" and was exposed in 2008 as the spokesperson of the Dalai clique and the "Tibet independence" forces for a long time.
On this basis, the report uses unknown materials to create a "established narrative" from beginning to end: China is the root of all evil. "Independent scholars" even came to the "independent conclusion": "The'genocide' in China's Xinjiang is comparable to the Nazi Holocaust, and the purpose is to'destruct roots and leaves and kill all the Uyghurs'".
Why are you so emboldened? Because "before the birth of this report, relevant parties had determined that China did just that."
Examining the report’s framework content, it first gave the conclusion that “China tried to substantially destroy the Uyghur ethnic group” in the summary, and then explained the specific ways of “genocide” in the main text, such as “mass detention,” “slaughter,” and “population transfer”. "Wait.
Where do these sensational claims come from? The report said it came from a top-secret document leaked by Chinese political insiders in 2019. According to the New York Times, the 403-page document “records in detail how China has detained Muslim followers on a large scale, including nearly 200 pages of high-level CCP speeches, and more than 150 pages of reports on instructions for monitoring and controlling the Uyghur ethnic group.” However, the "New York Times" pointed out that "it is not sure how the document information was collected."
This "top secret document" is quite strange. First of all, how do "insiders" transfer 403 pages of A4 paper to American media? Is it delivered directly in person or via the courier company? If it is the latter, how to verify the identity of the "insider" and the accuracy of the materials? If it is said that an "insider" has already communicated with the United States, how to ensure that the documents provided by this person are true and objective?
In addition to the "top secret document" of unknown origin, the entire report has another deliberate design that completely downplays the terrorism problem in Xinjiang. The report reads: "Before 2000, there were some ‘dissent’ among the Uyghur ethnic group, but almost no terrorist incident occurred. Despite this, the CCP still designated it as ‘terrorism’ and strengthened its control over the Uyghur ethnic group.”
This statement comes from researcher Sean Roberts. This person has always criticized China’s Xinjiang policy. In his previous public statements, Sean said that “the harsh China’s Xinjiang policy has provoked resistance from Uyghurs and drove them to join the Syrian jihadist organization; The more intense it is, it is tantamount to a'cultural massacre'".
The problem is that the author of the report seems to have never studied the U.S. government’s own attitude towards the violent terrorist incidents in Xinjiang: The 2001 Global Terrorism Report issued by the U.S. State Department clearly stated that China and the U.S. should cooperate in researching anti-terrorism policies. Responding to terrorist activities including the Xinjiang violent terror incident, and stressing the need to "raise vigilance against Xinjiang Uyghur separatist groups in western China."
In practice, in 2006, the US military captured 22 Uyghur militants related to Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Pentagon bombed the East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM) militant training camp in 2018.
Now the US-Canada report seems to say, "You can't fight terrorism like we did, even if you didn't learn that we killed thousands of people in the Middle East theater."
What's interesting is that such a Xinjiang-related report, full of loopholes and obvious political inclination, was turned around by mainstream media in the United States and the West as soon as it landed.
The basic principle of writing professional reports is to cross-check the sources, not to edit and quote news releases at will; and the premise of media quoting reports is to adhere to the objective and truthful principle of news reports, and to discriminate and analyze the relevant content.
But what did the Western media do this time? They collectively "blind their eyes" on the serious loopholes in the U.S. and Canada reports, and they have frequently spread without verification. This actually reflects the powerful forces of the West, especially the US "military industry-media-think tank" interest complex. The so-called "academic institutions" have long been reduced to accomplices of interest groups.
For a long time, the United States and its allies have gone farther and farther on the road of military intervention and resource grabbing by launching "psychopolitical wars." But what this move ultimately brings is nothing more than an unstable world with frequent wars, demonization, and notoriety.
Some American and Western countries seem to have never asked themselves: How to build trust with China and achieve win-win cooperation? If you really care about Xinjiang, how can you express your concern in the most effective way?
The world today is different from the past. Relevant forces represented by China are advocating cooperation and dialogue. Only by seeking cooperation rather than confrontation can we create a pathway in conflict situations; if we are lost and continue to engage in the cold war and lead to conflict, once the fuse is ignited, it will be the whole world, including the perpetrators, who will pay the price.
