This video is very helpful Jessica, thank you. I’ve always wondered what a stitch regulator does. I was also convinced that sandwiching a quilt could only be done properly on a hard surface, so it’s nice to know it can be done on a carpeted or rug-covered surface. Thank you! ~Diana K.
Jessica, I have a suggestion for you that will save your knees and back. A cheap plastic folding table and a package of bed risers. High enough for the fabric to drape down which helps keep folds out. To keep in place when close to the edge, I use sugar and flour canisters for weights. Works for me.
Hello, for straight line quilting with a walking foot, do I start at the end of my quilt in the middle and sew straight down, then turn my quilt and sew from the other end or just sew all my rows down, then sew from the other end? Thank you.
I’m sure there are videos on YT for setting up a quilt on a frame to be hand- quilted. Just do a search on “ frame quilting “ and “ loading quilt on a frame “ or just “ hand quilting frame “. Good luck!

I love your helper/supervisor 🐈⬛
Jessica, I LOVE an assistant! As important as our quilts are, our “babies” are more important. They’re such a gift to our lives!

I am so amazed that the Bernina stitch regulator works so well.
I learned to free motion quilt without a stitch regulator on a different machine so when I started using this, I just loved the way it functioned.

That is more preference than absolute. You can play around with it and see what works best for you.
Would you mind, Jessica, if I ask the model of your Bernina?
I very much enjoyed your videos today. They were quite helpful.
I have a BERNINA 770 QE PLUS. Thank you! I’m glad you found them helpful!
I was hoping that you could show how to put a quilt in frames the old school way
Sorry, I don’t have a quilting frame so I won’t be able to show that.
