The iPhone 14 Pro Max has been an amazing phone for the last 8 months with constant updates that have improved the phone experience. It’s especially great for travel which is why I wanted to show you how I use my iPhone for travel, what apps I use, and why I love how versatile the iPhone 14 Pro camera system by showing you a day in the life visiting Tokyo, Japan.

Thanks for the tip. I downloaded the Airalo app, gonna use it when I go back to Australia to visit in October. I also referred 3 relatives and friends 👍🏽
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!! 👑🇯🇲🔥💥🌟⭐💯💎
@@CeeMKE Awesome, hope you enjoy your trip to Australia!
I wish stores like 7eleven offered healthy food like that here in the US I'm so tired of going to corners stores and all they have is junk.
It's one of the hardest parts about coming back here.
Tokyo is not as car dependent as the US. Transit actually works and it’s higher in the government priorities. Really makes a difference in daily life. Hope to be there in a few months. Great video! Really inspires me to go!
It’s also a minuscule island nation? You don’t think that makes any difference?
@@ghost-user559 sure it does. But do you think that’s the only factor that makes a difference?
@@carlospcpro Yes. That’s a massive difference. Literally the entire landmass of Japan fits roughly 26 times into the US, with 200 million more people? The US has vast deserts, vast multiple mountain ranges, rainforest and timberlands and massive lakes and rivers and valleys? Japan is in comparison a small island chain with the majority of the population living in a few cities.
@@ghost-user559 the landmass it’s a relevant factor but it’s not the only thing that dictates what kind of mobility a country will have. That’s where political will, budget and urban planning comes in. The US decided to be a car dependent country.
@@carlospcpro Because the US is actually 50 countries? You understand California is one of the top 5 largest economies on earth? Or that NYC has a larger police force than entire countries have armies?
I really don’t think you understand what the US is or how large it is. 60 million acres alone is Native American reservations no one can build on. Japan itself is only 90 million acres. There are 50 governments with freedom to decide their own state laws. The US is not one giant country but many smaller nations that all work together and get to make their own decisions. And cars make far more sense than centralized transportation to keep an economy and population as large as the US functional.
Please keep doing these , i love this blog learned about the apps and how the phone made your trip safer and better.
Loved the video! Do you have 2 cell numbers? Would love for you to show how you actually travel abroad and use the esim? Do you have to disconnect the American line? Does it toggle? Etc etc Loved seeing you really enjoy yourself, Greg! Congrats on the amazing travel!
Great video Greg!!
Tokyo is such a cool place, keep travelling!! We’d love to see more of your travel vids :) ✌🏽
That’s awesome that you visited Tokyo! I lived in Tokyo from the early 80s to mid 90s. I watched Dragon Ball as a kid when I lived in Tokyo. I miss the kombinis. NYC and Tokyo are my 2 hometown cities. Which transit system did you like better? It’s very fitting for you to go to Akihabara first for the video.I don’t know if you know this but Japan invented the camera phone.
That must have been a really cool time to live there! I'm jealous.
@@GregsGadgets yes it was! I was a kid-teenager when I lived there and have so many fond memories living there. I still keep in touch with my old friends from that time too. My dad got his first cam corder in Akihabara at Bic Camera.
I know AT&T has a plan where you only pay for 10 days of $10 a day for roaming in a billing cycle and the rest are free for roaming(making the total cost $100 a month)
Hello from Tokyo! I truly enjoyed watching your video today, especially towards the end. I've been following your amazing tech reviews, but your travel blog is equally amazing! I wish to see more of your travels :)
Greg, I’m a new subscriber so maybe this has been talked about before, but your usual RUclips angle does not do you justice! I had no idea you were so jacked! 😂
Gotta hide my true power lol.
Hello from Tokyo! 🗼And yes, more of this format! Lifestyle and tech works with ya
Thank you! I want to go back to Tokyo so bad haha.
Damn I was thinking about upgrading from my iPhone 12 for my Japan trip so I have a better camera and battery life and then this video comes up 😂
If you don't upgrade the phone, make sure you bring a battery pack 😅
Thanks for interesting travel app recs and mentioning in passing what a MagSafe battery pack is. I’m just now getting an iPhone 14 Plus and I also miss Japan. It’s exciting that we can highlight text or search parts of photos now.
Enjoyed the day in life Tokyo footage. Was curious about airalo service - do you put phone in airplane mode, turn off cellular so your us service wasn’t billed? How’d that work? Thanks for any details you can share.
Sure, in the sim settings on your phone you can select your data service to be a different E-SIM. It turns off your primary SIM card when you do this, so you don't have to turn on airplane mode and you wont be billed by your wireless carrier.
Loved this So cool 😎 you got to visit Japan. Yes more travel day in the life videos. I really enjoyed watching this.
Have fun Greg
That is a cool video! I enjoyed watching it! Hope you visit Korea someday too!
That's the next country I want to visit!
Seoul was great, so enjoyed the foods and beverages, we miss it and would go back. The theme park in S. Korea was a lot better than HK Disney. At the moment can't remember the name of the theme park. haha
Great video, Greg. I’ve always wanted to visit Japan and this just reinforces that desire. Given how dependent we are on our smartphones, I really appreciated you showing how you navigated a different country. Tons of helpful information here. Thanks for sharing.
im planning to go to japan next year!!! the only thing i will miss is my car
I didn’t miss my car at all. Train in Tokyo is so good.
@@GregsGadgets true! I been to other countries you should check Spain it’s a must list very beautiful hopefully you know Spanish they will understand!
Japan here I come ….. bring out the retro games!!!!!!!!!!
It's paradise.
Google Maps is actually not good at all in telling you which train route to take. Sometimes they show you a major detour. The local apps (there are some in English too) are much better! I am sure there are plenty in the apple store
Thanks for the information on the eSIM. How did I not know about this! Really enjoyed your videos about this amazing country.
so cool
Next visit should definitely be the new Apple Stores in India!
Was i the only one who didn’t know about airalo 😂😂😂 all thosr times without wifi!!!
Great video man, I lived in Tokyo for several years and there is always something to do or something new to discover.
21:40 you really made a good point. I need to start spending time with people more.
I'd love to see more travel videos of anywhere you would like to visit.
Bold Move For Rockn Thee IPhone CaseLess🫣😳😬
Through out Your Whole Trip.
One day I’ll make it to Japan in Gods name 🙏🏽
I like that you switch up your channel standard videos. I appreciate that you did a day in a life in another country. Tokyo is a city I am going to next year. I have friend whose been to Thailand, Cambodia, Korea in the last two years. We are going to Japan next year. Im going to use your suggestions on our trip. My next trip is Las Vegas, followed by New Orleans during Halloween. I can wait for either. Keep up the good work. I personally would like to see more of these videos.
Man I miss Tokyo 😭
sunshine city!!😀
small note, as I live in Japan, more acqurate translation I get from iphone translate rather than google translate
I also went to tokyo on mar 31!
Just came back to Singapore yesterday
Loved the video as going to Tokyo is a dream of mine! Been as close as Hong Kong, which I loved! Keep doing more - maybe India next? A lot happening with tech and 5G in India!
Ace video mate. Really great 👍🏼

Do you use Screen protector on iPhone?
Would like to know where to get the wallpaper you’ve been using.😂😂😊
how to download your wallpaper
The phone looks so big in his hands. I wish my iPhone 14 plus looked this big.
DO you normally not rock a case on your phone?
Please come to India in June and shoot a video like this
The reason you use the iPhone is
IT IS A RELIABLE AND RELUABLY CONSISTENT POINT AND SHOOT DEVICE
And the general software is optimized better than any other Smartphone on earth 🌎

Japan is good country u r travel in good counrty .
Nice video
Anyone else notice during the junk section he said hard on and not hard off?! Lol
They dont use cards in Japan??? *gasp*
East or West samsung is the best 👌 👍
I’m so glad I don’t live anywhere that only has esim Australia has physical sim & esim option way easier & Apple Maps is trash no accurate & always takes the longest route but Google maps is better & more direct
The battery life on the 14pro max just sucks, it is one of the worst iPhone that I ve ever had when it come to battery life.
I get two days out of mine, you must be on it 24/7....
@@defiant888 he probably is. I'm an S23+ user and my friend's 14 pro max outlasts mine for several hours more when we are playing a coop game.
massacre, too many people xD How can you even live there. Ant nest...
You're a apple maps user 😂😂 I petty you bruh Google maps saved you from getting lost in Tokyo and yet you prefer apple ??
Apple Maps was pretty good in Tokyo, sometimes better than Google.
Apple maps is better than Google's in Japan. Google maps will even detour you on the Train route which is unsmart, to be honest.
Yeah and so is an android phone.
Wht i feel is S23 ultra is much more better than this
Flat screen all the way. I used to be a curve screen user (no choice cos S series and Notes were curved screens and I only trust Samsung in Android space after I was forced to switch from iOS) when Samsung introduced a flat option, I went straight to the S plus model and never looked back.

Tokyo is hands down the best metropolis to live in the world. The quality of life one can get there is simply not possible in any other city at that size.
Tokyo + iPhone 14 Pro Max? This HAS to be great 👍🏻🇯🇵
Hi Greg! Welcome to Japan, Tokyo❤
I’m Japanese and I was born and raised in Tokyo near the TOKYO TOWER.
SUPER POTATE is one of the greatest place for retro gamers.
I hope your trip was great and enjoyed Japan.
FYI:Japanese tech geek also love HARD OFF😆
I love it here! Tokyo tower and Tokyo Skytree were really cool to see. I also loved spending time in Shibuya!
Is the first 7/11 shown in the video the one in shibuya?
@@samlui3591 Ikebukuro
I want to go to 🇯🇵 with my brother and sister (kind like a family trip) only because they’re different and unique culture and manners
As always I love your detailed vid. And you helped me to know a little more on this country ❤from 🇮🇱
I think you should visit our country as well you will find a lot things here in Israel
It’s a really cool place and I have a ton of respect for the culture. I’d love to visit one day! I want to travel more often lol.
Great video I have been to Tokyo a few times love the Ginza area.
Love this video! Great to see you outside the studio and using tech on the other side of the world! Also, I can see that you’re a MacBreak Weekly fan! Thanks, Greg!
Android is always better than ios 👍
Beautiful vlog with so pretty shots of Tokyo. Also your app use cases seems realistic and not for the sake of the vlog. Keep this style is very very interesting for us tech nerds too. And someone is hitting the gym and it shows 🔥🔥
Great video Greg... Definitely do more video like this one, you nailed it.. Very entertaining and informative..!
Thank you 🙏
very nice vedio bro
Thank you
LOVING THIS SO MUCH !!! So fun and relaxing to watch.
Appreciate that
“Hard on locations” okay then 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Greg! I’m traveling to Japan next month and I have a iphone 14 pro max any tips or places to visit to put my phone to good use ?

Excellent!!! I love these types of videos ❤
Do you always use light mode on your phone?
Love your wallpaper. Can you please share? 😊
What if you need truly unlimited international data?
You’d probably have to go through a carrier for more money, but again you can keep buying data through airalo. A 20gb plan was only $26 and then you can add more when you need it.
@@GregsGadgets It seems AT&T is the only carrier offering it with their International Day Passes ($10/day up to $100/month). However, I have T-Mobile. Should I sign up for AT&T for one month to travel with? I live in Hudson County and T-Mobile is much faster here.
@@davidempire4874 I would suggest searching online for telecom's in that country you are traveling to. Also some airports will have kiosks where you can buy mobile plans for a day up to a month, depends on the country and the airport you are going to. It will be a lot less money sometimes than buying a plan from one of the USA telecom. It would be the same if you were from another country going to the USA. Some people have bought a portable Wifi device then use their mobiles to connect everyone to it. That has so many problems and its great for multiple people and devices but speed is a lot slower its shared bandwidth and battery power is not long lasting like a smartphone.
DB for life 🙌🏿

Very cool video!! Writing from a 14 Pro Max 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Yeah do another trip!!
Great video
Why don’t you wear a mask when outside there considering how bad COVID is out there. SMH come on Greg. Having it on sparingly is risky af.
Liked this video so much i watched it twice in a row! More travel videos ftw!
Glad you had a great time.Great video as usual.
Looking at the blue bird twitter app 🥲 memories
Oh I wish I could get the 14 pro max. Being sensitive to the PWM of OLED screens sucks 🫤
