    I also put them on contrast paint lids! I also use a Liquitex matte varnish to seal them up.

      Awesome! And how it looks with varnish? I’m still thinking- should I or not…

  • @arkhamcreed4326
    @arkhamcreed4326 Год назад +1

    Holy White is actually best used on plain white. That's because it's actually a pale grey color that acts like a wash, receding to the low points and leaving the high points nearly unpainted. Because the color you primed your lids was so close to what Holy White actually dries as you can't even see it. The effect is extremely subtle, and using it on anything darker than white tends to screw it up.

      @@virrcraft Indeed, Holy White tends to behave a bit differently than the other speedpaints. I bought it as a single because I tend to paint a lot of white fur with my artic D&D setting, and its fantastic for that. You just have to make sure you're painting on a white base instead of grey.

      @@arkhamcreed4326 I definitely will try it now to better understand how it works 👍🏻
      Thanks, really appreciate.
      I don’t have arctic minis yet, but ave a plan to paint ghost or banshee… so for ghostly white it should work as well

    Hey Virr Craft!! 3 questions:
    1) which speedpaint color is your favorite?
    2) do you apply a sealant or clearcoat after they dry?
    3)will you eventually do a review of the newer speedpaints being released as well?
    -I'm excited for the new metallics!
    💪🎨👍 ❤from🇨🇦

      Hey-hey :)
      Ok, let's go point-by-point:
      1) hard to say, depends on the needs. but in general I really like how Palid Bone and Blood Red looks. Hardened Leather and Orc Skin are nice as well, because I more like medival fantasy style of minis. Almost for all of them I can find some suitable place
      2) yes, I'm using Varnish Matte. Not sure should I or not... I'm new in painting, as I said. But it seems like models are better protected with varnish.
      3) We will see, before your question, I didn’t even know that they were going to release some new colors or speedpaints :)

    • @PaintHandDan
      @PaintHandDan Год назад +1

      @@virrcraft i like plasmatic bolt and pallid bone is a MUST HAVE!!
      I started with clearcoats, but recently I like to let it "remix" itself on the model as I go - it's good both ways!
      If you do review the new ones - I'll be there👍

    Is there somewhere you can go to and buy the heads? Great idea, I just don’t want to have to buy a 3d printer. Thanks for doing the video too!

      I think maybe you missed the point. I think maybe hes showcasing a fun way to demonstrate a practical example of the colors of these paints. I don't think he really actually reviewed the product of the paints at all. The Puck heads have never been released to the public before, so...hes showcasing a new product nobody has ever seen using a new product he's never used before.
