  • Skeletal treatment of third class malocclusions can be done age 6-9, not later, literature suggests.
    There is no evidence of sagittal skeletal changes using a palatal expander associated with a face mask after that age. You usually just end up protruding upper teeth.
    Can braces be a good alternative in third class cases who have arrived late at the office?

    He's 12 yrs age..so maxilla will develop?!

      The maxillary bone is almost completely developed by that age. On the other hand, the mandible, which follows a diferrent growth pattern, will still grow a lot. So from hereafter...things could only get worse.
