It's crazy how easily a bias can be built based on pictures used and bits and pieces of stories. For example, the pictures used of Nicki Minaj are colorful and tacky-looking. She has many facets of her style but they chose to use those ones for a reason. Also, "Hell Yeah" is a fucking amazing song. And it wasn't ever a single so not sure where Barbara came up with that one. The lyrics, if read in their full context are actually brilliant and the sound is unexplainable.

Her last album in 2009 Memoirs went Gold (500,000) here in the states and double platinum Worldwide. Those are sells of 3 million albums worldwide. If you combine Pink Friday, Reloaded and the Re-Up the sells equal to 2.5 million.
She didn't want to be the only female. she was promised to be the only female, if I was promised to be the only female then at the start of the show, some other female showed up, I'd be angry too. Both Mariah and Nicki have NO music career nowadays. Having a #1 album anywhere doesn't really mean anything since it will fly down the charts the following weeks. Mariah's music career died in around 2008 and every single release she has released after that flopped hard.
Nicki's career is on the verge of dying since her music has been getting increasingly worse (not that is was ever even great to begin with).
In my opinion Mariah is the greatest singer off all time, but I have lost respect for her. If you follow her closely, you know she is a diva. And to have a little fit because you're not the only female judge on the show? How old are you again? Then to lie on Nicki saying she threatened to shoot her?! Come on Mariah. What was American Idol thinking when they decided to hire Nicki Minaj? Gherian, Her people set the rate. The terms are negotiated before she accepts the contract. I didn't say anything about the salary of the judges because the story only mentions her salary. That being said, yes, they are probably all over paid. I find it particularly humorous that my point is still being missed. I am simply stating that if you are receiving such a high pay scale, you should be able to rise above the drama. If she can get paid that much, more power to her...

old people? no a lot of Mariah's fans are not 12 year old girls (althoug she does have many young fans check out the audience at her latest tour) they range from 4-death. Nicki among other artist have just been exposed buying viewing figures on their videos. Mariah's own videos have been a victim of being reset every few months so her stats are so low. Mariah has also topped EVERY Idol poll as the most popular judge.

Let's be objective as we can in this situation. Some may not like Nicki. Some may not like Mariah. We have to understand, fallouts like these happen EVERYDAY, this was way overexposed just because they're celebrities. Some say Nicki was outta hand for disrespecting an elder, a legend, but that doesn't mean Mariah is right for disrespecting Nicki either (before that tape). They were both wrong in different ways and let's just move the fuck on please. It's pointless.
The Bottom line is that Mariah deserves all the respect and Nicki still needs to tumble and fall to see how irrelevant she is. We'll never know what truly happened but, i truly believe something happened.
