      Yes, I hear you. I may just stick with rebag and fashionphile - at least I can return (as long as it's not final sale) and they are in the United States...

    I purchased a new Fendi bag with tags etc from eBay. It went to be authenticated, and a couple of days ago eBay emailed me. The bag was authentic, but there were discrepancies between the listing and what the authenticators got. They attached some photos of the bag. There were scuffs on it that you couldn’t see on the eBay listing, so I’m assuming the seller used some clever angles, or edited them out. Thankfully eBay was on top of it, and they started a return straightaway.

      I had that happen with a gucci with ebay - excellent service! I have an LV on the way they just authenticated and I have a lot of confidence in their new process🥰

      That’s good to know. I recently purchased a bag from ebay and it’s going thru the authentication process. Happy to hear they are reliable.

    I hope you get your money back! It’s so unfortunate when stuff like this happens and it’s definitely super frustrating. That strap would have been so cute as the top handle! Don’t give up! I hope you find another bag that is similar that will go with the top handle strap!

    I’m sorry that happened to you. I’ve also considered buying from Vestiaire Collective as they sent me a discount as well for signing up. However, I’ve hesitated as I keep hearing of all the fakes sold on there. Hope you get your money back soon!

      oh, thank you so much… I have had many successful purchases with them, but the two unsuccessful ones have ended me wanting to buy from them ever again… Since they have banned me, I can't anyway!

    Awww so sorry to hear that happened. Hopefully it will work out. Maybe hold on to the strap until you are pretty sure you won't use it. You never know you might see a fabulous bag to go with it.

      I think it will, it's just stressful. They allowed me to print a return label so that is a good sign, but the item has to pass their reinspection and they have to determine it did not meet the description.

    Oh you know they made sure to take pictures at certain angles so that would not show! Just like I know to take selfies at certain angles to maybe hide signs of age lol! Good luck with it!!

    How awful!! At one point of the video it looked like scratches on one of the buckles too which is definitely used!

      yes, there were fine scratches on all the hardware...which I would have been ok with...the part that really sucked the most was that they polished the gold off the buckle and did everything they could to disguise it in photos:(..thank u♥️

    Was it worth $30 to violate the TOS and now have this headache? I have no experience with this reseller- I will stay far far away. Sorry you had this experience.

      prob not...but I always seemed to miss their 10% off sales and with the amount I was spending it didn't seem like it would be a big deal to them...it truly is their loss - I've spent thousands with them in the last 2 years. Other youtubers actually recommend signing up for farfetch to get a discount with a new email, I've never experienced an issue doing something like this in my whole life - oh well.

    Ive heard horror stories about people getting bricks in boxes. I would never buy from them because they don't have bags in their possession and can't authenticate.

    Ugh sorry this happened! I bought a YSL niki bag from VC a couple years ago that was “new” however it was clearly used and the corners were scuffed. VC was supposed to have looked the bag over to ensure the listing was accurate when they authenticated it but they didn’t…they refused a return also. Not cool-and I’ll never buy from them again.

    First off, let me say hopefully you get your money back on this but I have never trusted Vestiaire Collective. As for your Fendi bag… I have two and I will tell you, their hardware is highly susceptible to scratching and tarnishing. I have been told that even with the same bag, some on the production line get the gold hardware, some get silver. If it’s as old as you say that would be considered a vintage piece, that issue with the strap is 100% possible just sitting in someone’s closet over the years. However, knowing all of this, they should have disclosed this all to you before purchase. I have an older piece, myself, and use a different strap all together and I love my bag. Sometimes you just have to adjust these older pieces to work today. Best of luck to you!

      Awe thank u - I tried in the video to acknowledge that the glazing issue could have been missed, but I am certain that the front hardware was "polished" to remove scratches and they accidentally removed a fair amount of the plating:(....that was something that I believe should have been disclosed. I paid way to much to overlook this - if it was $500 instead of $1700, it may have been a different story....thanks so much for watching and commenting - I appreciate you!♥️

    So sad, because it’s such a beautiful bag.
    I haven’t had a great experience with Vestiaire collective. I know you’re ultimately dealing with individual sellers on that site, but I hate that they’ve eliminated any feature to allow shoppers to flag fakes. It just doesn’t give me a lot of faith in their integrity.

      It is sad...I could have fixed or lived with it if they hadn't polished the gold off the front FF. It is much more noticeable in person in natural light:(...that stinks they eliminated that feature - I had no idea - thanks for sharing♥️

      @@thehandbaghousewife - I feel like the hardware issue moves the whole thing into the category of intentional deception, which is very hard to swallow! Even if the seller somehow didn’t notice it, IMO, Vestiaire’s alleged inspection process should have caught the undisclosed damage.

    Hope they do you right this time. They probably see it that you frauded them, and they are under no obligation to make it right. We'll see how upstanding they are. I would stay a long ways away from them in the future.

    VC is all about taking the commision money but doesn't care about customer service. Even the site itself is not particularly user friendly. I was lucky with my two purchases off them, but now I stay away. I don't trust their authentication and refund processes.

    I’m actually surprised that they objected to multiple email addresses associated with one payment method: I thought that most retail businesses actually would prefer multiple email addresses because it adds to their email list (and potential customer) numbers, which is valuable to the business.
    That condition is atrocious. So sorry that happened to you.

      I've never had a business complain about the multiple emails, let alone ban me. I've done this before - some youtubers regularly recommend doing it for sites like farfetch. I am very disappointed in the bag… They have provided a label by reinstating my account at least for the time being, but I'm never buying anything from them again.♥️

    I’m always afraid to order from Vestiaire lately. Their getting worse. I just ordered something and the shipper has over a WEEK to ship the product 😤🤦‍♀️🤬🤬🤯. Why sell something if your not ready to ship it off??? Then I sent them a message and they never answered 🫣🤦‍♀️😤🤯😩
