Professor, growing up I did not like George or much country at all.. but now that I’m old.. I really vibe to it! His song about being a troubadour! Your comment about the syllables.. yessssssss
Muich like The Mighty Van Halen were King's in their genre, George Strait IS the King of Country Music...those of us in the San Antonio/South Texas scene take pride that George was born, raised and still resides in the area...
He’s looking for 8 when they pull that gate and I hope that judge ain’t blind. He’s riding a horse in the rodeo. And you have to be able to stay on the horse for 8 seconds.
This song is about a rodeo cowboy. He travels the rodeo circuit. These guys are often single because the wives/girlfriends rarely travel with them. They also take a lot of abuse from the bulls/broncs they ride. Broken bones are common. But when they win, they win big. Sometimes, Country music is hard for people to grasp when they arent familiar with the lifestyle.
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 One of my favorite George Strait songs is 🎶🎵 Give it all we got tonight 🎵🎶 (The official video) Really like to see your reaction to it Keep the good work my friend 👍👌💪🏻
The reference of "8", Is how long he has to stay on a bucking bull or bronc...You gotta stay on 8 seconds for the judge to give you points...That's why he says "I hope the judge aint blind"....
You have to stay on the bucking horse for 8 seconds and you have to rake the horse. That means when the horse's front legs go down, your feet should be on his chest, then bring your feet back. You are judged on that and how hard the horse bucks for a score. Watch the songs video.
This song is much better with the original video featuring rodeo riders getting abused by thousand pound bulls. The song was released with the video to erase any doubt as to the meaning of the song.
Great Reaction...... "Lost a Wife and Girlfriend, Somewhere along the way"...... Doesn't mean he had both at the same time, It implies the length of time he has been Rodeoing, And his Focus on the Sport....
You can never go wrong with King George.
Amarillo by Morning is one of my favorites and George Strait is the King of Country!
IMHO, best country song ever!
I'm an Amarillo girl, and enjoyed this reaction SO much! Amarillo has the world's largest stock yards . Amarillo IS beef.
🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 George Straight= King of Country!

Yeah, I am really discovering some talented writers in the genre.

Straight George all the way! Nobody can beats gentleman George Strait. He should be a 'sir'.

Somebody in the chat mentioned that in the video and then it all came together for me lol
Or a bull?
This is my favorite George strait song
Look up the video for this song. It’s a good video.
Now we need to hear "8 second ride"

Gentleman George. Beautiful song. When you're riding the rodeo circuit it's a bit lonely.
I LOVE HIM

You should look at the live from Texas stadium video so nice.
Great 2 step song ❤
Live versions are even better - more energy and more fun. Check out the one with Alan Jackson.

🤠🔥🤠
🔥🔥♥️
Okay, I searched, and I don't see it.
Can you do "A Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Williams, Jr.?
PLEASE
Check out the most clever country song (lyrically), "Overnight Male." You should listen to it even if you don't do a reaction video.
This song is much better with the original video featuring rodeo riders getting abused by thousand pound bulls. The song was released with the video to erase any doubt as to the meaning of the song.

It's a fiddle, not a violin. You can tell because a violin has 4 strings, and a fiddle has 4 strangs.
Watch the video
Not violins bro they called fiddles lol no hate all love homie ✌️
He is talking about rodeo horse riding you don’t put a saddle on a bull only a horse
BTW that wasn't a violin, that was a fiddle, the difference is that a violin has strings a fiddle has "strangs".😂
And, no one cares if you spill beer on a fiddle. 😂
