I lost my mom in August, so Christmas is going to be hard, but I WILL find the joy in it. I look forward to crafting and decorating for the holidays in the coming months. Crafting is my therapy, and I truly need daily therapy! I also let people know when I have made something that they admire. And I always give myself away as to how much of a bargain I got at a thrift store or on clearance. I am looking forward to more videos from you and hearing more about your baby and finding out your baby's name. That is exciting! Your videos bring are uplifting, inspirational, informative, and fun to watch. I love your personality. I'm wanting to go to Pinners next year and hope to get to meet you if you are there.

It can be good to create something for yourself, too - perhaps including something you might have of your mom’s, like a swatch of fabric from a garment or a piece of jewelry or a letter or card. Above all, don’t let anyone tell you how to grieve - it’s all so personal even for people grieving the loss of the same loved person.
I've been meaning to make one of the decor piece with a Christmas tree, a rocking chair and the poem about thinking about family now are in heaven. Got me to tear up just writing heaven. 💔💔

My favorite thing about Chrisymas is remembering decorating the tree. When I was little, my brother was in charge of buying the tree. It was always too big and we had to wire it to the walls so it didn't fall over...good times!!
Looking forward to the quiet family time. It is harder / different now that my kids are in their twenties but it is still a special time to gather and have our traditions. Enjoy your new family time!

Our favorite tradition is to wrap ourselves up good and warm and light a small pit fire when it is lightly snowing outside. Roast marshmallows for our cocoa. We live in the old, family farmhouse built in 1911. We have huge oak trees and one lost a giant limb. I asked and the nice tree guy and he cut it into 1-1 1/2 " rounds and they have 12-14" diameter. I'm making trays for my husbands siblings (7) and my kids with the name of farm and when it was established! Lots of sanding, sealing and stenciling to do. I hope they like them! Beautiful projects!

Well my grand children are finally both old enough to craft with me for Christmas so this year it will be candy land Christmas for us with faux bakery and drinks also. We starting in about 2 weeks and so excited!😊
My son and (daughter) in law, will come to Florida for Christmas. Since they moved to Philly we don’t see them very often because they are busy with their careers. We FaceTime often but it isn’t enough for me. Sooo can’t wait to spend time with them!
I love everything about the Christmas. The music the smells decorating my home looking at Christmas items in the stores . All these things just make me happy and gives me a huge case of the “feels”.
My daughter & I have a tradition of baking Santa's cookies on Christmas Eve then attending church w/family & friends. Tho we all are a bit scattered now, we enjoy when we can be together. Also, we always watch certain movies together & it's such fun to spontaneously erupt w/the script or Christmas song. Lastly, when she was young I'd take her to the Sunday Matinee of the Nutcracker Ballet. So fun to dress her up in a new velvet dress & black patent leather shoes. She's grown now & I'm thinking this year might be a good time to go again, maybe those hair bows could be exchanged for some earrings like your bow ones you wore in the video in TX. ❤

Fifty some odd years ago, I had a Baby on December 9. It was great. Since Christmas was so close to her birthday, we made sure that we did not ignore the day of her birth. My December birthday girl is a grandma now (making me a great-grandma!!!)

Loving this video, I am most excited this Christmas to see the holidays through the eyes of my 1 year old grandson. I know he will probably like the boxes bows and wrapping paper better than the gifts inside but that is fine with me. Whitney you are by far my favorite You Tube creator. Fifty some odd years ago, I had a Baby on December 9. It was great. Since Christmas was so close to her birthday, we made sure that we did not ignore the day of her birth. My December birthday girl is a grandma now (making me a great-grandma!!!)

I sooo loved being pregnant at Christmas! So special to be thinking of the Baby Jesus when carrying a little one. Also, it's the only year I ever got my Christmas shopping done early. Hahahaha!

I love this video. The only suggestion I would make, and that may be my personal taste, the nativity set, paint the star, either white or gold, so it stands out. Because it is the wayfinder to the Nativity.

Ok. I have to admit, I was not thrilled to see this video in early October. I’m not a Christmas person. But Whitney, you really inspired me and gave some beautiful and easy Christmas Projects. I will be heading out with a list of course, to get some supplies to make these items as gifts for co-workers and such. Thank you for the inspiration and giving me some faith.

Whitney, I would try a piece of wire or pipe cleaner inside the handle of your cups made out of felt and tp rolls. It might help keep the handles shape better. Love your ideas. ❤ Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love to give but hate to receive gifts. My favorite part are the lights. So calming and peaceful.

I have copied so many of your christmas vacation ideas and made them. i have also printed all the pritables. i thank you for doing all the hard work and for being so sweet and sharing your files and printable with us. We start the christmas season by watching christmas vacation. how can you not be in the mood after watcching that? 😂😂 my favorite thing about christmas is everyone comes home for christmas and we get to spend time together making memories, no work, no stress, just happy times and memories. Of couse, I would stay for the end If someone gives me a compliment and I got it on sale, I definitely say it was on sale, how much I paid and where I got it at. 😂
