Very much so! I'm late diagnosed ASD and it gave me the guts to come off any psychiatric meds and switch to CBD. Feel more content and calm within myself than I have in decades.
agreed! as an autistic adult, cannabis is has helped bring me into balance, much more so than any of my psychopharmaceuticals have. would love to see more information on diverse populations beyond focusing on young white boys!
@@AutiStoner Exactly! Diverse research needs to be a priority. So glad you found something that works for you. I'm avoiding THC just because of bad experiences other family members have had. So not ready to risk it. But just the CBD alone has been a life saver.
Dr. Bonni thank you for this wonderful information. I can’t thank you enough for helping my son. He did not talk or look at us until we found you and started this wonderful journey of CBD 💚
Amazing, how one the the most valuable pieces of information on CBD THC on RUclips gets so little likes and attention. Took me a while digging into piles of misinformation to find this gold of a presentation.
L1 Autist here, can confirm that low-mid THC doses noticeably reduce irritability and uneasiness, and that may stimulate a natural progress in social engagement.
I am a poor man from India, my son 2y6m is Autistic, for many reasons I came to conclusion to give my child micro dose of Bhang or traditional marijuana edible, I mixed ashwagandha with it , the result was- high sleep, calm down, clean gut , more hunger. I stop after 40 days due to fear of long term adverse effects ,,,, Now I am giving him the Indian MMS the Tulsi or the holly Basile drops,,, It is also working well....
Thank you for this looking into this. I can't comprehend the number of lives that can be improved by this. I'm curious how cannabinoids treat Aspergers, Dyspraxia, ADHD, and Dyslexia.
Subject: Request for PowerPoint or PDF Version of Your Video Hello, I found your video to be very informative and inspiring. I have read your research and I appreciate your work. First of all, congratulations on your efforts. I am a final year pharmacy student. This year, I have chosen my thesis topic and started my research. I was very happy to come across your video. My thesis topic is: "Is the endocannabinoid system a potential target for the development of a new therapy for autism?" Your information and research have been very helpful in preparing my thesis. However, I was wondering if I could request a document version of your video? If you could share a PDF or PowerPoint version with me, I would be very grateful. Thank you for reading my message. Best regards,
Dr. Bonnie, I have a question concerning a person I know that smokes wax which is cannabis oil I guess and he’s got one child with autism and he’s got another child with underdevelopment syndrome and I believe smoking that wax that concentrate is affecting his offspring. Have you any findingsin this field that you could share be most appreciated. Thank you for your videos.
So many of the side effects come not from the medications but from the over purification, over isolation of constituents. My hopes for medical marijuana have been that it would finally teach mankind that plants have balancing properties to help with the side effects that their medications offer but we keep over purifying things and removing those balancing agents because we don't see how they affect the illness that we're trying to treat. The Western medical system is failing us again through over isolation and over purification
My doctor moved the person I take care of ratios from a 10 CBD to one THC to a one to one ratio and I noticed his behaviors got worse. So I'm wondering if we went in the wrong direction, he did really good on the 10 to 1 for several years until around puberty started acting out again. So that's when the change to the one to one was made.
I was very interested in this topic but sadly you shared the incorrect narrative that boys are more likely to be autistic: current research shows that when we stop measuring girls by the ways boys present the numbers even out. That you’re behind on this research undermines anything you have to say about autistic people.
Thank you for your comment. This video is over a year old (I will be updating it in a few months). I disagree that all of the valuable peer-reviewed research about cannabis medicine for autism and my vast clinical experience - 34 years as a pediatrician, with 16 years in the cannabis specialty - is undermined if there is new information that I have not seen yet about prevalence statistics. I treat many different conditions and try to be up-to-date about all of them. I am always open to new information - how could I not be as a cannabis physician taking care of children with some of the most difficult and severe cases of epilepsy, autism, advanced cancers, rare diseases, etc? It would be great if you would share the peer-reviewed, published journal reference with the latest data you mention on the male:female prevalence ratio in autism so I, as well as others, can be current in our knowledge.
This is interesting. We need more research on FEMALE and ADULT Autism and AUDHD.
