What was the reason for making the track shorter from 1320
because when scott kalitta got killed they needed more room to stop so they dropped it to 1000 foot for top fuel/nitromethane but classes like pro stock and factory stock all run 1320s
I believe they started 1000’ in Chicago this past May for Nhra events. He had a 268 mph run in 22 or 23 in 1/4 mile. 👊
