When I was a kid back in the mid-1970s ('75-'77ish), my parents were in a work bowling league and would drag me along to the games when they couldn't find a sitter. I would play the games in the bowling alley's arcade and this and another Atari game, Starship 1, were by far, my favourites. Great video, and I just subscribed. Thanks!
I also love the bronze age games. I didn't know they had a name. I have been calling them the arcade games in black and white. I like bronze age more. lol I just found your channel and I look forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks.
Love the Bronze age stuff as it's on the cusp of my memory for my earliest trips around amusement arcacdes. I've got a Drop Zone IV and Bombs Away (working PCBs). Would love to see these all better preserved for FPGA too one day. Glad the Anti-Aircraft went to such a good home.
What an amazing cabinet. I love how they are "squatter" than the later, more standard cabinets. My favorites from that era were Hustle and Starship 1 - with the vacuum formed (?) plastic and the cardboard artwork behind the glass. Wow.
Wow, what an amazing find at an absolute amazing price. And the condition is crazy good, that should be in a museum. As you just don't see games like this in such clean condition. Could you even get side art and a marquee for a game this old if it wasn't included? Thanks for sharing.
love all of your videos diving into a game and taking us through them. As I get older in this hobby I get deeper into the older and more obscure games too. For me its obsessing over the emergent Japanese electromechanical machines of the 50s and 60s, the massive gamblers of UK in the 60s, and pre-ww2 machines from Germany and USA. Saving parts of the industry on the cusp of being lost.
