Firstly, thank you for putting this video together! It's so refreshing to have an unbiased perspective on UK Church issues. Speaking as someone who gave their life to the Lord as a youth at Soul Survivor, the whole Mike Pilavachi scandal does hit close to home. Other comments on here have said it best, that elevating the 'one-man-band' style of preaching with phrases like "I wish all anglican priests where like" this person/"I've never met anyone more Christ-like" is dangerous. It's a sobering reminder that we all need accountability in our lives - how the institutional church can implement this is another discussion. I actually believe that the Anglican denomination has a much stronger level of accountability structures than other denominations in the global church. The issue becomes more precarious when people are elevated to 'superstar' status. Thank God that Jesus is bigger than any ministry or anointed speaker!
I was a volunteer at SS and warned a leading figure who had influence that I had hesitations about Mike P. I felt guilty later thinking I should have kept my gut feelings to myself but those feelings have been borne out. My daughter attended, they were heady days and it was easy to get carried away with the new waves. Much was exhilarating and apparently healthy but Mike was given too much power and focus which is always questionable. There was a lot of naevity under the guise of Christian love to all comers. The church is being judged and more will follow. We have to wake up before more millstones around necks cause irreparable damage to genuine ministry.

It's great that your children love Jesus. But sexual predation is not the same as flawed leadership or being an inadequate vessel. God blesses people despite the presence of evildoers like Pilavachi, not because of him. He didn't speak for God, he manipulated people's faith.
Equating a sexual predator’s acts to mere imperfections is wild. The charismatic church is filled with these people, because the doctrine isn‘t sound and they don‘t really belong to a larger denomination that requires accountability. It‘s a breeding ground for narcissistic, self absorbed and power-hungry people.
@@easternbrownI am confused at the moment exactly what he was alleged to have done. Wrestling other men was not uncommon in many Christian male settings for me growing up but I would not call them as abusive. I participated in that sort of thing on camps playing field games etc. everyone knew what was going on and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
@@Funintherain13 Isn't the difference between a mature man having young men under his authority removing layers of clothing so that he can secretly engage them in mutual massage/wrestling in his bedroom, and a camp field game, obvious to anyone who is willing to look objectively at what has now been revealed by multiple sources? Yes absolutely, physicality was part of evangelical culture in the kind of way you describe. But we must now accept that some found opportunity within that culture, motivated by their own sexual and emotional inadequacy, to take advantage of others in scandalous ways that were unwelcome and deeply harmful. Sadly, there are good reasons why safeguarding practice has made unacceptable things that were once normal.
So, here we have some more. These ppl are everywhere. All religious groups, scouts, politicians, sports, TV and the like. It will not stop. If we can ride the emotional aftermath out, we know that soon our Judge will come to sort it all out. 'Vengeance is mine saith the Lord' then we shall heal.
Remember the abuse scandal in most cathedral choirs in the Cof E. This was highlighted in a panorama documentary on BBC TV in July 2019.The hierarchy covered their backs.
This is often the case as so many Christians, leaders included, believe a person can be changed by being part of the church family. This is not always so - they just continue their predation by tweaking the way they go about it. The victims, at least, need to feel safe, while predators should be reported to the police. (Hoping of course that the police will take action!).
Hello England I watched one of his sermons a few years ago and because of God’s gift of discernment, I KNEW this man was living a lie. I became grieved😢I should have commented on that video when Holy Spirit revealed it to me. We are ALL at the mercy of a kind, loving and JUST God. Remember to pray without ceasing dear brothers and sisters! God generously graces us with power, love and sound minds. Let us utilise, strategise and work only to enter into His rest. Then His peace that passes all understanding will guard our hearts until we behold Him face to face in glory ❤❤❤❤
I saw him life at New Wine many many years ago and had a "weird" feeling. It encourages me that I have God-given discernment. Love what you say: "Let us utilise, strategise and work only to enter into His rest"😀😀😀
@@jackomile1838These comments are important, because they raise questions about the discernment of a number of prominent Christian leaders who warmly endorsed this man. If you realised something was amiss, others should have as well.
@@paulsmith3966 Thank you Paul. The "weird" feeling I had was really, really strong, based on nothing else than a feeling. I felt/feel the same about Nicky Gumble.
Same here - I felt there was discord in the voice, usually indicating that someone is involved with the occult. We must have been at the same NW meeting.
The problem is, many people mistake dominance for leadership. And 'leaders' are not necessarily baptised with spiritual gifts. Very often they take that role in the church because it works for them in the secular world, which is not the same as the gift of spiritual leadership.
It's important to remember that though this was evil from Pilavachi & has caused severe trauma to those affected, it is not a reflection of the true nature of Christ. It's reflective of the gospel, that no matter how high we subconsciously or consciously place these pastors they are still sinners in need of God's grace just like any other sinner. That the more we project Christ's standards on a Pilavachi, Ravi, Mike Bickle and whoever else, the greater the pain & disillusionment we'll be in if or when they fall as the perfect standard of Christ could have been placed upon no one else but Christ Himself, as He was the only one who could bare it, because He was God in the flesh.
Sorry. He was doing the work of Satan and evil was working through him. Whatever folk encountered was unlikely to have been God, but mere emotional manipulation. Until the Church stops worshipping names as celebrities, then this won't change. This corruption runs through and to hear those other Christian celebs such as Gumbel giving sycophantic praise is disturbing, akin to those Jimmy Savile obituaries after he died. It's a money-making, self-congratulatory, industry. More connection with God by going out for a walk than anything these places and groups offer.
You make it sound like it‘s hard not to be a sexual predator and exploit people. We are supposed to hold leaders and elders to the biblical standard, which is why the Bible itself states that not everyone should strive to become a teacher, because they will be judged differently. No sane Christian expects perfectionism, but comments like yours diminish the impact these predators actions have on other people. Makes it sound like it‘s not a big deal that hundreds of lives have been ruined by these false teachers. Would you say that to the victims? Do you think that would help them? It‘s like going to a drunk person on the street and telling that person to drink less and believe in Jesus. This is a reflection on the Church, since guys like Ravi, Bickle, Houston, Bentley, Lentz and many others were/are in leading role positions, they had/have the biggest numbers. How does that look like to a person who‘s not on the "inside"?
I see the point. Though by the way, He still is God in the flesh. He has raised our humanity to the heavenly realm so that we can strive to enter that rest which includes living in a state of repentance and finding freedom from habitual sin. He still is fully man and it wasn't his divinity he called upon to master sin. He was and is 'the Lamb of God that TAKES AWAY the sin of the world'. 'Be ye perfect' is in the Bible. Also here's another aspect addressed in a quote from Vlad Savchuk (see his testimony on YT): "The devil is like a vicious dog on a leash. But you have nothing to fear as long as you stay out of reach. He can only bark at Christians but he cannot bite them unless they step on his territory. It does not matter how long you've been a Christian, it does not matter if you speak in tongues, it does not matter if you've read the Bible from beginning to end. If you open your life to the Devil, demons will come in. If you step on the Devil's territory he WILL bite you. He's not just going to bark at you, he's going to bite you, meaning he's going to oppress you, demonise you and control a part or an area of your life. Christians can have whatever Christians want. Once you open the door to the Devil, anything can come in ... Be a Christian by possession not just by profession."
haha what a funny comment. pillavacci a revolting evil creature is not a reflection of the true nature of Jesus. sadly he is exactly the mirror image of the jesus taught in evil religion but nothing like the real jesus who completed his work in 70Ad and took a new name no man knows revelation 3 v 12.
The most important point is we must focus on The Christ, the Messiah, the Redeemer. Many Christians do not read the Bible, do not spending time with Christ. We as a body have a fair share of responsibility. I know myself that that I don't do everything right, and I have to ask for forgiveness all the time. Having said it's not my execuse to keep living in sin. I think we should learn to be thankful for people who came before us and helped us to know Jesus, and learn to forgive ,taking corrections, keep fixing our eyes on Jesus and keep walking with Jesus all times. God bless
The problem is, many people mistake dominance for leadership. And 'leaders' are not necessarily baptised with spiritual gifts. Very often they take that role in the church because it works for them in the secular world, which is not the same as the gift of spiritual leadership. We need to distinguish between the two as separate from each other.
i was a part of the youth at soul survivor watford from the age of 12 until 18. i experienced this same psychological abuse that all the victims spoke about, not just from Mike but a huge amount of the leadership team, including my own youth pastor. the culture was awful and it came from the top down. people almost worshipped the ground he walked on, and i couldn't work out why i was so uncomfortable with this. i don't think i had enough wisdom at the time to know better, especially at that age. i personally know some of the victims of mike's, including people who were massaged. to the commenters under this video asking "what's so bad about wrestling?": mike always went on about how he's a 60y/o virgin who has managed to stay pure and sexually holy his entire life, particularly at the saturday celebrations. he massaged young men and boys with oil in his own bed, climbing VERY high up the thigh. i am so disappointed to see such comments. if the victims of this sexual abuse-yes, ABUSE- were females, that narrative would be almost non-existent. my time at SSW was extremely traumatic and i deconstructed my faith at uni after leaving the church completely at 18. i love God and i still have a beautiful relationship with him, but i don't know if i will ever trust another spiritual leader again. churches need to be educated on abuse - the culture of silence is disgusting, damaging, and unbelievably shameful.
I was an intern there 2011-2012 (I was 21) and the whole experience was super weird. I noticed that people involved were very odd and that I only had human interactions basically with people who were out on the fringes of the church really. Including a really lovely couple who helped me a lot I can’t remember their names though. Discernment of people is incredibly important and Christians do not give credit to it as they’d rather turn a blind eye and pretend that everything is fine. I never lost my faith personally but I find it hard to trust churches in general as I see a lot of weird things going on in them on stage and behind the scenes- if it doesn’t look like Christ then it likely isn’t Christian to start with. I’m so sorry that you had to deal with the abuse and the trauma. I wish there was something I can say but the whole situation sucks to be honest.
Massaging and wrestling OK, but what about the power games , gaslighting, favouritism, shunning ,verbal and psychological abuse ? To gather in a group of young men who are already vulnerable or disadvantaged , sprinkle some magic Jesus glitter in their eyes and then act in the most damaging and psychologically divisive way is to me worse than a bit of creepy hands on weridness
I know it’s not ok to criticise victims of abuse & I think it’s very brave of Matt & Beth to share their story now however, I do have some serious concerns. You have Matt, Tim Hughes, Pete Hughes & many other high profile church figures etc.. who are all wealthy high profile figures who were aware of Mike. After (some of them!) informing internal church bodies about ongoing abuse. Decided not to take matters further. Following this because they didn’t get a response moved on and stayed silent whilst an abuser continued to abuse vulnerable young men. The church needs people who will speak out even if it costs them and I don’t think any of them did this. How many others shared a stage with this man and because they were chasing status stayed silent?
We don't have "men' like this. They want all the trappings. they want to be loved, not hated. look at the plandemic. where were the discernment ministries, the prophets? even when it was obvious, where were the men of courage? there are none. Churchianity is finished, let the cowards go home.
Whistle blowing is not easy!! You doubt yourself at every turn. When most people appear unconcerned it is extraordinarily difficult to stand out as the “troublemaker”. In this case, to criticise a guy who was having such a positive impact on the youth of England would have been virtually impossible.
@@micklumsden3956 he wouldn’t of been in isolation especially if he got other high profile friends on board. Additionally why did he and the Hughes boys amongst others continue to work with him after they’d complained and left? He even went back and did an interview with J John in 2014 at Soul Survivor Watford where he states how great Mike was and the church for young people (ruclips.net/video/sh7ge--1Sws/видео.htmlsi=CVclXLiY02ASKYiG). I have been a whistleblower I know how hard it is especially when you’ve been a victim (which I was). I’m also a social worker and undertake safeguarding enquiries and if I were asked to investigate Mike I’d be pointing out all the missed opportunities where he could of got caught sooner if people would of spoke up.
We know how the church deals with abusers. They cover up for them or vote for them in Presidential elections. Of course, Mike Pilavachi is a product of the Church's homophobic world view. This sort of stuff wouldn't happen if people weren't forced to hide their sexual identity and being surrounded by attractive young men in a position of power is a breeding ground for abuse to happen when there is no outlet for your sexual desires.
So sad. Sadly things can get covered up, i was briefly student Baptist minister but sadly Dad died a week before i started. The leaders were awful and I even received an assault telling me to pull myself together followed by a punch to my chest. Reported to college and church but was poo pooed. We lost thousands as a family. Fortunately we found an Anglican church who are amazing reminding us as a family its not God but people who let us down.
I feel bad for the people such as Matt Redman that have been gaslit by this. I have listened to him on TV, I actually had no idea that he did this. The people who knew about this but did nothing about it are also responsible. I wish people in this country would stop backing down every first time they try to speak up. We all need to follow up and persist. He's just sorry that he got caught because this has been happening for years. I used to go to church every Sunday but I stopped in 2014. I'm still a Christian but I think that when wolves in sheep's clothing have such big roles in a church is very dangerous. Especially for new believers.
i used to be a christian too for 68 years i am 70 now , Jesus completed the greatest work this world will ever know in 70Ad he handed the kingdoms he had taken back from satan and gave them to God so God could be all in all. That is not universalism but it is the truth. In 70Ad Jesus and his believers became the bride of God and like all brides he took a new name which explains revelation 3 v 12 Christianity the holy spirit the grave satan and sin all ended in 70AD. Jesus work was to bring to an end the age of Adam and he completed his work. If jesus has not completed his work then heaven is still closed on one is there . Jesus told us heaven has been closed to man forever in John 3 v 13 heaven was only opened at the completion of his work in revelation 21v1 when the sea of glass separating man from God was no more. What followed 70AD was man made religion and they taught that sin satan and the grave still rule this world and they teach this lie because from this lie they derive the greatest wealth and power the world has ever seen. Pillavacci is an evil liar and will go to the lake of fire but everyone who teaches or believes a lie will go to the same destination because God is truth.
It's not just that Mike Pilavachi has not recieved any discipline for this abuse, but nor have any of the other church of England leaders who enabled him Matt Redman has said he was 13 when MP started abusing him. This isn't a disagreement between adults. This is (probably non criminal) child sexual abuse
i’m really hope my ex-youth leader isn’t kicking themselves for not seeing any signs. i had a wonderful time when i would go to the festivals but they do feel tainted now which is a great shame. my friends and i were shocked when this news came out and felt so dishearten by it
It’s because hundreds of people helped out at these things and having been an intern for a year I can attest that many of the people are legitimately normal Christians just trying to serve. I will say that I was quite young at the time (22 in 2012) and even then I felt like Mike and Andy were a bit weird. It was hard for me to pinpoint anything because I didn’t interact with them much and mainly interacted with people at their church on the outside fringes so to speak.
It does seem yuck the people who supported especially Gumbel. I remember Pilavachi on GodTV and thinking something is not right. There seemed to be no theology or spirituality to his orating.
Christians are never taught to recognise the flaws and contradictions within the human experience. They aren't taught that every person has a good and evil inclination. The greatest reward will be for a lifetime of working to control and subdue the extremes of the evil inclination. After the initial salvation experience Christians learn how to wear a facade and cover up the human frailties and imperfections inherent in our being. We are taught that Jesus did it all and know next to nothing about walking in and working on our own personal repair. We have the Scriptures and the holy spirit to help us overcome.
If you already don't like or trust the charismatic movement, this is a good opportunity to trash it. But bear in mind that Jonathan Fletcher did exactly the ssme, John Smyth did far worse, and they were good sound Bible-alone conservatives. The Roman Catholic Church has an incredibly long list of similar sexual scandals (and, again, many worse). I get why people are sceptical of the charismatic movement and especially flashy organisations like SS and HTB, but if exactly the same sins exist in other corners of the Church, then putting it down to charismatic theology is a theory which has little explanatory power - it's only good for a little tribal point-scoring. (Edited to fix a typo.)
NEVER HEARD of him in my life, thank God. Just goes to show how each of us must (1) read God's Word to check what He says is truth, and (2) never ever 'idolise' a human being! It is also a sad and pitiful sign that some of the leaders of churches are sadly failing in what they have been anointed to do.
Inappropriate behaviour = sinful behaviour = demonic activity = criminal offence. And the c of e wonder why we have left in droves. Ineffective teaching. Lies, not truth. Perverting the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their adgenda, not the Holy Spirit's agenda.
Jackomile... I don't want to focus particularly on Nicky Gumble. But I have mixed feelings about Alpha Courses... Initially they were attended almost entirely by existing church goers, and were important in showing those church goers were not being well taught. However, the Alpha Courses weren't themselves at a very good level and some content isn't really mainstream.
@@rhodiusscrolls3080thank you so much for saying this. Nicky Gumbel is a deceiver intent on an ecumenical world church. Where was his ‘charismatic’ discernment in all this, similarly the Canon J John? My children led astray by all this, heartbreaking.
he is a completely revolting creature count yourself lucky you never met him but there are tens of thousands in the religion identical to him so keep watching out.
Not sure if a criminal investigation has been opened. If you listen to redmans video it sounds like bullying and dictatorship more than anything. There’s the massage issue but it seems to have been coseentual (although completely inappropriate ). Not sure if the police could pin anything on him.
It is so sad to see the dreadful sickness of institutional Christianity- at precisely the time when true holiness in needed. We need to be Christ centred and so many of our concerns are spiritually irrelevant.
Theres something that happened last Christmas in the C of E that will validate your argument exactly. This man was motivated by homosexual proclivity and something worse
So all those "so called prophetic words" were just a con from a snake oil seller! Just shows how easily folk are deceived by these "extra biblical words" If people stick to what God has already spoken in his Word this would not gave happened but the Word is not enough for some people and seek "extra revelation" The show was just mind control and manipulation. My son is a musician and went to SS. He could see how the music was manipulating these young people. I don't doubt there was some fruit as not all apples on a tree are bad.
Some very simple words of wisdom for new Christians = avoid the charismatic movement at all costs. It is rife with feel good experiences that are not biblical, gullible people who will believe anything, which the majority of the time lead to people getting massively hurt and leaving the church having their 'faith' shipwrecked. The Charismatic movement is also rife with 'pastors' (if you can call them that) getting involved with sexual related behaviour yet they STILL allowed back into ministry after the fact!!!! The bible strictly prohibits this. Nothing would surprise me to see this creep back in ministry at some point.
This is not unique to the Charismatic movement. Plenty of this has gone on in more traditional churches too: egotistical choirmasters and “celibate” priests. It is the problem of the human heart which is “deceitful above all things” (Jeremiah 17:9), not confined to a particular Christian movement. “Guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life” Prov 4:23
Yes, I agree with you. It is the problem of the human heart. Thank you for sharing Jeremiah 17:9 and Proverbs 4:23. God bless you for your wisdom and discernment.
Biblically this is a Christianity issue by default- Jesus talks about it all the time. I can make the exact same post about whatever ‘movement’ you follow and it would be factual. We are all the church in Christ so stop with the nonsense and read your bible 😂
Matt Redman was sexually abused by Mike when he was a teenager. He still has not been to the police but he and his wife kept working with Mike even though Mike bullied Matt and Beth. 22 years later, Matt and Beth have released a documentary but still have not been to the police. Why? Why did they continue to appear on the stage with Mike following Mike sexually abusing Matt and bullying Matt and Beth? Well, I guess the money and fame were worth it for Matt and Beth. What took place with the other males as far as I know is not illegal. They were all over the age of consent and kept going back for more. That is not abuse. That is a consensual relationship whether the men want to acknowledge that or not. Being same sex attracted, I have seen in many cases people in pseudo same sex relationships but they claim they are following Christ. The women who have cracked onto me in churches have all lied about it when I have gone to church leadership. I left those churches and those places within the week. There are a lot of people wanting to get into covert same sex relationships in churches, often with people much younger. These people can be married to someone of the opposite sex and put on the appearance of being a “good Christian” with all their friends and even claim I was coming onto them. They are sick and they are everywhere in Christianity. Also note the obesity in Mike, the people who adored him and the women 20 years my senior who have cracked onto me. Gluttony is a sin next to homosexuality in the New Testament. Never be taught the Bible by someone who is an addict of any kind and who picks and chooses which Scriptures to follow. catherinehume.wordpress.com/2024/02/21/the-intersections-of-lgbt-obesity-and-christianity/
Right on ..the gluttony and the look of him would be one reason I would not be in the same room But see what other foodies do in the Church I am pretty fed up of them.but he had too much else in him to really cause the bell to sound.
As I Eat My Sandwich...Rick.Warren writes the worst books and says the worst prayers in the Christian church. He looks like the side of one. It slots into Prosperity but no where else.
Many Christians deride those Churches which have a formal Liturgy. However, the purpose of a formal Liturgy is to ensure that Jesus Christ, rather than the celebrant, takes centre stage. The Liturgy in most traditional Churches is not entertaining, nor is it intended to be entertaining. Firstly, the Scripture readings are read out by those who have a good speaking voice and who are good communicators. They are not, in any way, “centre stage”. Then, the General Confession, the General Absolution, the recitation of the Creed, the Gloria follow. Once again, in all of these, Jesus Christ takes centre stage. Then, there is the Eucharist - once again, simply a recital from the Gospels in which the celebrant, once again, does not take centre stage. The only place where the celebrant does take centre stage is the homily - however, in most Liturgical Churches, this is a short explanation of the Scripture readings for the day, to tie them together and to tie them into the general history of salvation as taught by the Church. So, if anyone does come to a Liturgical service, he is not looking for entertainment. He can find this readily enough down at the local pub when a comedian visits, or there is a pub quiz, or a karaoke night. There is nothing particularly wrong with light hearted entertainment, although Christians should, of course, exercise discernment in respect of any secular entertainment. However, the Church should not be the place for light entertainment - it is the House of God.
No. Fruit of human nature. Don’t blame the “charismatic” movement. There are lots of vile nonsense taking place in the so called “inclusive” and “liberal” part of the church.
It's not biblical to raise one man to this level of influence. Each local church are to have a body of Elders. Never trust a church or movement leas by one man.

Hello England
I watched one of his sermons a few years ago and because of God’s gift of discernment, I KNEW this man was living a lie.
Thank you for stating this!!!!
Also here's another aspect addressed in a quote from Vlad Savchuk (see his testimony on YT):
"The devil is like a vicious dog on a leash.
What a great video! Thanks for this work!
i was a part of the youth at soul survivor watford from the age of 12 until 18. i experienced this same psychological abuse that all the victims spoke about, not just from Mike but a huge amount of the leadership team, including my own youth pastor. the culture was awful and it came from the top down. people almost worshipped the ground he walked on, and i couldn't work out why i was so uncomfortable with this. i don't think i had enough wisdom at the time to know better, especially at that age. i personally know some of the victims of mike's, including people who were massaged. to the commenters under this video asking "what's so bad about wrestling?": mike always went on about how he's a 60y/o virgin who has managed to stay pure and sexually holy his entire life, particularly at the saturday celebrations. he massaged young men and boys with oil in his own bed, climbing VERY high up the thigh. i am so disappointed to see such comments. if the victims of this sexual abuse-yes, ABUSE- were females, that narrative would be almost non-existent. my time at SSW was extremely traumatic and i deconstructed my faith at uni after leaving the church completely at 18. i love God and i still have a beautiful relationship with him, but i don't know if i will ever trust another spiritual leader again. churches need to be educated on abuse - the culture of silence is disgusting, damaging, and unbelievably shameful.
I think you underestimate how difficult it is for the abused to publicly expose their abuser.
Evangelical Christians finally need to understand that being able to give a great talk is not tantamount to being a good person.
@@ricdavid7476 okay
It's not just that Mike Pilavachi has not recieved any discipline for this abuse, but nor have any of the other church of England leaders who enabled him
Matt Redman has said he was 13 when MP started abusing him. This isn't a disagreement between adults. This is (probably non criminal) child sexual abuse
all child sexual abuse should be criminal
@@epicdude999 I agree, but I think it's technically very difficult to legislate for that.
i’m really hope my ex-youth leader isn’t kicking themselves for not seeing any signs. i had a wonderful time when i would go to the festivals but they do feel tainted now which is a great shame. my friends and i were shocked when this news came out and felt so dishearten by it
It’s because hundreds of people helped out at these things and having been an intern for a year I can attest that many of the people are legitimately normal Christians just trying to serve.
I will say that I was quite young at the time (22 in 2012) and even then I felt like Mike and Andy were a bit weird. It was hard for me to pinpoint anything because I didn’t interact with them much and mainly interacted with people at their church on the outside fringes so to speak.
As if the Church of England has any moral standing.
Agree totally. The c of e have been booted out of the world wide Anglican Communion. The whole world is wrong but the c of e is right. Total rubbish
I couldn't agree more. Well said.
The church of England preach another Gospel, so it is cursed.
Good job. Concise and factual.
Why did it take 3 decades to discover this. Are the police involved?
NEVER HEARD of him in my life, thank God. Just goes to show how each of us must (1) read God's Word to check what He says is truth, and (2) never ever 'idolise' a human being! It is also a sad and pitiful sign that some of the leaders of churches are sadly failing in what they have been anointed to do.
As usual, no discernment !!!!!!!
Who is accusing whom?
yep. its a broad road in the new wave of christian so called worship
Never did like this dude. I knew there was something False about Him ?
Inappropriate behaviour = sinful behaviour = demonic activity = criminal offence.
And the c of e wonder why we have left in droves.
Ineffective teaching. Lies, not truth. Perverting the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Their adgenda, not the Holy Spirit's agenda.
So sad.
Eating and drinking in the house of God. Endless socialising Having a good time Thats what Alpha teaches

Matt did not say Mike sexually abused him. He was abused by someone else and told mike who, at the time, appeared to help him contact the authorities.
Right on ..the gluttony and the look of him would be one reason I would not be in the same room
But see what other foodies do in the Church I am pretty fed up of them.but he had too much else in him to really cause the bell to sound.
As I Eat My Sandwich...Rick.Warren writes the worst books and says the worst prayers in the Christian church. He looks like the side of one. It slots into Prosperity but no where else.
Take the allegations to the police.
Don't put words to read. Just talk.
Fruit of the rotten charismatic movement.
No. Fruit of human nature. Don’t blame the “charismatic” movement. There are lots of vile nonsense taking place in the so called “inclusive” and “liberal” part of the church.
@danielhoki. Strongly agree.
It's not biblical to raise one man to this level of influence. Each local church are to have a body of Elders. Never trust a church or movement leas by one man.
