  • My new 1950 Willys Jeepster barn find project needs lots of work to make it safe to drive. I want to start getting rid of the ugly but keep it drivable, if possible.
I plan to do a series of videos with this car. Phase 1 will look at what you can do in your garage with common tools and to keep it simple and safe to drive.

A popular parade vehicle used by many Shriner groups, often painted orange, yellow and green with horns, bells, whistles and sirens. I doubt it was purchased new by them, many low mileage vehicles became available when first owners were able to move upscale. The red and yellow vinyl along with any plywood were added devices. The outside tack strip is factory to permanently attach the rear panels of the top. The bottom layer vinyl of carpet may have been factory. This car has been well preserved with very little rust, an excellent restoration candidate but its your car now, do whatever works for you.

This parade car (clown car) had air lines, gauges and pedals for what looks like an air cannon or blowing up balloons. Still had a very large fire bell and what looks like air horns too.
