Great info. Takes a bit to get comfortable with them, but they definitely deliver. I always go to the high side....but I have been doing it for a while
So in loading this way, for my 20" 308, it comes out that my 140 grain copper bullets charge weight will be the same for the 161 AH. Nice! Should put me around 2800-2850 -maybe.... but maybe 2750. Thanks
You may want to test BLC2. I have had good success with it in 6 ARC. I have been loading it since it came out. 18" BA Barrel. Right now using Nosler 80gr BT to put hogs down. Hodgdon data shows a max of 30.6 for an 88gr bullet
Holy cow. Pushing 3200fps with an 87gr out of a gas gun? So with a bolt gun and the higher pressure spec do you think you could exceed 3300fps? Just for reference, the speed on the box for 90gr CX 6mm Creemoor is 3325. I'd heard you could push these bullets a little faster than other bullet types, but I didn't expect this much. I just ordered my first 6mm ARC and I'm looking forward to trying out some Hammer bullets in it. When I have some more reloading experience under my belt I may try out these absolute hammers.
Possibly... Hammer advertises with the right powders you can push the Absolutes around 200FPS faster than bullets in its same weight class. I've gone as much as 350 FPSH higher with my 6.5CM but with accuracy suffering.
So you are not measuring brass expansion?? .... Bro you are playing a game that wont be fun to lose. Also shooting two rounds and being like hey thats the best charge. Lol
BK still doesn't reload (saying that for about 20yrs now), but this is all EXCELLENT information and data. Amazing detail. Thanks for sharing!
get after it!
Very helpful!
I just ordered 161 Absolute Hunters for my 20 inch 308.
This will help me greatly!
Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Very nice video. I am currently working to find a .2MOA handload for my Seekins PH2 300 PPRC and so far, Hammer bullets have almost gotten me there.
Nice!!!!

Awesome stuff :)
Excellent video. I am a hammer fan and reload them extensively. Can you provide any details on the brass deflector that is shown in the video?
Loading 3006 with the 151 absolute hammer. Imr 4895. With federal bench rest primers. Itll be in a Tikka bolt action.
That bullet should be moving!

Do the absolute-hammers slow down quickly with their protruding ribbed profile design? Wondering about speeds beyond 300 yds
I haven't reduction. At least it dials true out to 500 yards.
You have the "Hammer Bullet" channel as well?
Yes sir!
Very helpful!
Christ Bless!
Blessings to you too...
Have you experienced any bolt face damage?
None. My oldest AR10 BCG has well over 5K rounds and still running strong.
twist seems more suited to heavy slug in 6MM not such a light one
How did you run your bullet through quick load? It doesn't have your bullet listed.
You can add or edit bullets and powders.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you just launch a 6mm arc faster than a factory .243?
24" barrel possible just getting into the 243 so stay tuned.
What was your OAL?
I load to a PDR band so its not jump essential. I've never found Hammer Bullets to be jump sensitive.

Apparently you’ve had 0 experience with reloading Hammer Bullets…
